Gaming is fun. But gaming can also be rather educational. The Serious Play Events board wants to reward those games that go above and beyond just being mere passtimes and turn into actually educational experiences. They're taking entries now for their Learing Board Games Awards.
From the announcement:
Entries in the 2018 Serious Games Association competition for board and card games used in education or training are due Jan. 15, 2019.
Any organization or individual that has created a learning game launched after March 1, 2018 is eligible to enter it in any of the following categories:
Preschool education, K-12 education, higher education, healthcare, corporate, museums, government/military or non profit. The tabletop game must be playable by the judges independent of the designer.
Entrants will be asked to send six copies of their game to judges. Addresses will be provided within two weeks after the deadline for entries. Return packaging with postage can be included.
