I am a teetotaler. But, in general, I don't mind if other people imbibe (as long as they leave me alone about it). However, for a while in America's history, they were like, "NOPE!" when it came to booze. That was Prohibition, and it led to the rise of organized crime and NASCAR. It's into this tumultuous time that you find yourself in Citizens, a new strategy board game about the Prohibition that's up on Kickstarter now.
From the campaign:
The American Prohibitionism Period have been marked by a terrific escalation of violence and by pointless limitation of citizen's freedom.
Will you be able to take advantage of this situation and to emerge from anonymity?
Will you be able to build up your legacy? Will you fight for your interest or will you follow the law?
Citizens is a strategy based board game for 2-4 players, it's dynamic with a compelling historical background.
The game is fully developed and ready to be released. It has been played and tested at many exhibitions and with in boardgamer community. The production phase will last 3 or 4 months and I plan to start shipping it to the backers no later than December 2019.
The campaign is up and running now. It's set to go for another 15 days.
