Trickerion Board Game up on Kickstarter

Mindclash Games is running a Kickstarter campaign for their new board game, Trickerion. In it, players play as magicians and illusionists looking to be the David Copperfield of them all (he's still a thing, right? I remember watching his specials all the time when I was younger. My sister was a huge fan). The campaign has already passed their funding goal with still 28 days to go.
Though now that I'm thinking about magic, I'm thinking Gob Bluth, and now that I'm thinking Gob Bluth, I'm thinking The Final Countdown...

Darkraven Soundscapes: Cthulhu & Horror Music Kickstarter

Darkraven Games is running sort of a double-Kickstarter all in one. They're looking to fund both a Cthulhu-Fantasy and Horror Music soundscapes sets. Bring some atmosphere to your gaming sessions (because blasting Foreigner during your fantasy RPG group just isn't cutting it... unless your playing a bard like I am in my campaign. He rocks!).
And to be fair, you don't have to just play it while gaming. It also makes just good mood music while painting or working on other things.

TGN Editorial - Press Announcement Pique

Associate Editor Enrico Nardini pulls out a pernicious problem present in Games Workshop’s latest press announcement. See what has him piqued! tgn-editorial_360 There are times when I feel like Games Workshop is in a position where they can do no right. 2014 did show improvement in some areas. Did you ever think you would see bundle deals that had an actual and meaningful discount? How about new starter sets that once again, could be considered a value for your gaming dollar (including units you might actually want to purchase)? Yet, in the age of the $25+ single figure blister, it’s hard to not think that there are still systemic issues in GW’s attitude and business model that may be causing their continuing profit backslide.

Monolith Games has listened to you, the backers of their Conan board game Kickstarter campaign, and expanded their Khitai expansion to include more. More what? More just about everything. There's a new hero, a new game board, and a pair of new scenarios.
The campaign still has a little less than 2 weeks to go. Go take a look and see all the good stuff going on.

Terminus Gate Sci-Fi Minis Game up on Kickstarter

Spider Monkey Games is running their Kickstarter campaign for Terminus Gate, their scenario-driven sci-fi skirmish game. Players build their forces of space privateers and must work to complete contracts in order to gain riches and experience. The game sounds much like Gorka-Morka or Mordheim, where your crew progresses and changes as you play more games, becoming more experienced and gaining new abilities and gear. So if you like that style of game, give them a look.

3 New Pre-Orders from Forge World

Forge World has a trio of new releases up for pre-order on their website. The first is the next in their line of Horus Heresy characters. Sevatar was the First Captain of the Night Lords. Rather nasty fellow, it would seem. Next up are a new Imperial Fist Legion Command. You get a banner bearer and the other a leader of some kind (you pick the rank). "Oh! Shot right in the heraldry!" The final new model is the Solar Auxilia Basilisk/Medusa, because Forge World didn't want Battlefront to be the only one releasing new artillery pieces lately.

Fantasy Flight Releases XCOM Board Game

Fantasy Flight Games tells you to watch the skies, their new XCOM board game is now available. Players must attempt to thwart an alien invasion, played by an application on your smart phone, tablet, or online, in order to protect the world. But it's not just the aliens you have to worry about. Panic caused by their attacks has the civilian populations uneasy. You must balance between focus on the skies and focus on those around you.
And I know it's not the same franchise at all, but when I think alien invasions, I think, " *punch alien in the face* Welcome to 'erf!"

WizKids previews Dr. Sivana and Black Adam for DC HeroClix

WizKids keeps up their previews for the upcoming Trinity War set for DC HeroClix with a look at Dr. Sivana and Black Adam.
I looked up the Trinity War on the DC Wiki the other day. Seems like an interesting (if maybe a bit confusing at times) story line.
Are you HeroClix players also comic book readers? I've not regularly read comics since the mid-90s, and then, it was primarily Marvel (the X-Factor team with Havok at the lead was my favorite).

Battlefront Features the M50 (155mm) Gun for Fate of a Nation

Battlefront continues their "all artillery, all the time" previews for Fate of a Nation with a look at the M50 155mm gun. It certainly can't be said that you don't have options in your methods of bombardment in that game.
I've got basically no knowledge of the conflict the game surrounds, but it seems there were lots of artillery pieces present.
Napoleon would've loved it.
