Secret Weapon Miniatures gives us a look at their March releases, including this kick-ass Gothic Generator. Why play on a boring table?
The announcement's not a secret, even if the company is...
As today is 29-February we have decided that it doesn't officially count as February anymore, since everyone knows that there are only 28 days in February, and so we've launched the March releases!
This includes a whole host of hotly anticipated new products:
Gothic Terrain: Power Generator Masterclass Scenics: Fallen Leaves - Brown Masterclass Scenics: Leaf Litter - Light Green Masterclass Scenics: Leaf Litter - Dark Green Green
It also includes SIX new 95x120mm beveled edge bases so that all of our current themes now have a flight base -- and the new round lip theme "Cobblestone" for our Warmachine, Hordes, and Malifaux players out there.
Fantasy Flight Games tells us a little about a new scenario to be released for The Game of Thrones board game.
All they want to tell you... for now...
At this May 18th-20th event, FFG will debut a never-before-seen scenario for A Game of Thrones: The Board Game Second Edition. The A Dance with Dragons scenario will be made available as a Print on Demand expansion a few months after this exciting weekend, but attendees will have a chance to play it first. What’s more, each early registrant will receive an exclusive advance copy!
Deep Wars shows off a new piece of concept art and gives us some info on their Dark Mariner starter. Damn this game looks like it's going to be cool.
Blubblubblub... That's fish for, "Here's what they say about it":
The Dark Mariners are descendents from the original kingdoms of the Ancients, but have become corrupted and degraded by generations of genetic experimentation with foul creatures of the deep. They still use some of the technology of their elders but only a few of their leaders, those retaining some of the original bloodline, can fully recall the secrets of the ethers. Dark Mariner forces are a mixture of mutated shock troops, stealthy biomechs and vile cephalid telepaths and scientists. These fully aquatic beings have suits designed for protection underwater and amphibious assaults on land or in pressurized submersibles. They are lightly armored, but fast moving and deadly when in close quarters.
Battle Blokx is a new project on Kickstarter! Go help them out!
BATTLE BLOKX, is pleased to announce the launch of its Kickstarter project. For the past few months we have been working diligently to develop what may be the first building block style war-gaming terrain ever.
We designed them with 28mm gamers in mind, each BLOK is approximately 90mm square, with an average height of 32mm. The BATTLE BLOKX system is based around the BASIK BLOK which features a top lug, and a 30mm wide step detail that creates a “ladder” when stacked. All BATTLE BLOKX are supplied unpainted and easily accept glue so you can use them as a blank canvas for your own gaming masterpiece. Or you can simply prime them grey and start playing.
If you like what you have read so far, check out our Kickstarter Project and backer rewards. Thanks and I hope to see you across the table someday.
Ironically, these figures are reported to be taller than the actual Napoleon... Just kidding.

This is the first entirely new game system from ADB, Inc., in years. AlienDungeon, an offshoot of Architects of War, has new Frightmare terrain pieces. Go check 'em out!
Not just your average trees and rocks:
Architects of War is now 18 months old and we have enjoyed every minute of it. We endeavor to bring you the best 28mm historical miniatures available combined with our own terrain and accessory kits. We are very grateful to the response we have received from our many customers, both hobbyist and Trade accounts. Support from our trading partners Perry Miniatures, Gripping Beast, Renedra, and Warlord Games has been extraordinary and we hope to keep serving all of you for years to come.
However, it’s time we split like some weird Amoeba monster so we can pursue some other things.
We are establishing a brother company to Architects of War called AlienDungeon. This new company will allow us through a separate web site to release and retail products in the Adventure, Sci-Fi and Fantasy market where we hope to make lots of new friends.
We are off to a running start by introducing our new Frightmares line of Fantasy terrain and Pan Galactic Geographic*, a range of HARD Sci-Fi terrain, miniatures and vehicles. And since we are delving into the Sci-Fi/Fantasy market, the Woodbine Design Science Fiction Range is now being stocked by us. And last but certainly not least, we will be carrying the complete collection of “dungeoneering” figures from Otherworld Miniatures. The Otherworld Miniatures sculpts are fantastically sculpted, modern takes on classic designs. We are very excited to be able to offer all of these items for sale at Cold Wars and our web store soon after.
Cipher Studios gives us an in-depth look at the 30-Coins Sniper for Hell Dorado.
It’s not often you come across a blind Sniper. The profession typically benefits from a good pair of eyes, but clearly with a Shooting Skill of 5, 30 Coins is doing just fine blind, thank you very much.
BaneLegions has an absolutely stunning model for us today, the Typhaggahw dragon. I mean... whoah...
April is going to be a very special month for us, as not only are we attending Salute 2012 down in London, we’re also releasing two incredible BaneBeasts – Typhaggahw, Gwyfern of Ceredigion and Shaaroc, Reviled Draackox! It’s Typhaggahw we turn our attention to first, a little earlier than usual but that’s simply because we couldn’t wait to unveil him a moment longer.
WizKids previews Fandral from their next set for Heroclix.
Like his comrades Hogun and Volstagg, Fandral begins play with the Warriors Three Together trait! This trait boosts Fandral’s damage by +1 if two or more friendly characters with the Warriors Three keyword are within three squares.

Showdowns & Shootouts: Get ready to vote! As ya'll know, the Showdowns & Shootouts adventure writing contest took a LOT longer than anyone ever thought it would. You know, we had the usual delays... work, family, hospitalizations and hurricanes. But even still, we had no idea we'd lollygag so long on this contest.
