Dark Nexus Arena

For those that enjoy Warhammer 40,000 and maybe also like MOBA-style video games, this is probably a story you’ll enjoy. The reason being is that Warhammer 40k: Dark Nexus Arena is now available on Steam Early Access. They’ve also got a new play mode and a new hero for you to use.

In the new Soul Hunter mode, players gain the souls of vanquished foes, delivering them to the Dark Nexus in the middle of the field. Your soul total rises exponentially for each kill you get in a streak. However, if you’re defeated before you go deliver your cargo, your opponent gains a portion of your souls and you lose all of yours. The first team to 50 Souls Delivered wins.

There’s also the new Lychguard for Necrons, which was the most-requested faction during the closed beta.

Is it me or has there been a number of 40k related video games released?

      A few.
But looking over the last couple months of news releases, it’s this one and the Knight Scion one that are the recent ones.
Oh, and there was Space Hulk, too.

The Mobile space is full of them: Freeblades, Carnage, DeathWatch, KillTeam. The latter two are also on PC, as is WH40K Armageddon (for those of us who miss Final Liberation).

Good luck to them with a MOBA title. That’s a rather competitive space for game companies. Infinite Crisis has already died, and it’s not very forgiving. At least they’ll have an interesting IP, but so did Infinite Crisis.
