Wargames Factory have posted images of the 3D sculpts of their upcoming 28mm plastic Shock Troops Heavy Weapon miniatures.

Shock Troops Heavy Weapon

From their website:

We hope you enjoy this first sneak peak of Shock Trooper Heavy Weapons. We welcome your constructive criticism and feedback! We’d ask everyone to be specific about their likes and dislikes. For example if you feel the rocket launcher is not large enough don’t just say “I don’t like the rocket launcher” instead let us know you feel it should be bigger.

If you’re loving some of the helmet designs don’t just tell us they’re awesome, let us know what you like about them. We’re excited about viewer and customer feedback.

That gunner looks very uncomfortable in that position.

    • Zac

Uncomfortable and also unable to stay in place if there is any recoil on the gun

  • Roebeast45

I’m just wondering why the front leg of the tripod is bony.

    • cybogoblin

I heard they were going to make it a skull, but didn’t want to infringe on GW’s IP.

      :p

  • Morf

Since they are asking for feedback, here’s two from me:
    – binoculars on something that looks like a twin set of short range gatlings looks odd – The position is not very comfortable for shooting, probably kneeling would be better.

If the trooper was looking through those binoculars while firing something with that much kick he’d probably pulp his own skull.

  • I really like the Shock Troops but with the whole company fiasco over the winter, I’m still hesitant to give them my support.

I do like this concept though. It needs some tweaks, and Morf made some good ones, but I could see this guy taking down some giant monsters and lovin’ every minute of it.

Oh, man, talk about a design fail…
Bony leg on a tripod? Check!
Optical sights on a twin gatling gun? Check!
Gunner taking a dump instead of bracing for recoil? Check!
I have nothing against the digisculpt, it looks decent, but their sculptors really ought to think their designs through just a bit more before doing the actual sculpting.

Should be kneeling or sitting… more like this:
