The Society of Ancients has announced its new Committee line-up for 2012:

From their announcement:

Roy Boss will be taking over from Phil Steele as President of the Society of Ancients. Roy is a long-time wargamer and Society member, who can recall playing at Tony Bath’s house in the 1960s. Among Roy’s many contributions on ancient warfare is Montvert’s long out-of-print, highly-sought-after volume on Justinian’s wars.

Taking over as editor from Richard Taylor, as of the March 2012 issue, will be Mark Watson. This will be Mark’s second period as editor, in which role he served from 2008-2010, when he oversaw the revamp of Slingshot into a new glossy format.

Finally, also joining the committee will be Rick Priestley, Patrick Waterson, and Paul Innes.

A member for many years, Rick will be well-known to enthusiasts for his long career as a rules writer, and, most recently, of course, for Hail Caesar.

Patrick Waterson is a prolific contributor on ancient topics in Slingshot and on the internet.

Paul Innes (Caliban) has already done great service to the Society as organizer in Scotland, and is known for his spectacular battle displays at Claymore and the Scottish Battle Day.
