Confession: I prefer non-fiction to fiction, especially when it comes to reading. I would much rather read a history book than a story. So some novel series that’s catching everyone’s attention never catches mine. However, when I see something that’s an analysis of board games of the recent year, I’m like, “Oooh, that’s something I’d like to check out.” And that’s just what we’ve got here. The Board Game Book takes a look at this previous year’s biggest games. The book is up on Kickstarter now.
From the campaign:
We’re an international team of authors and journalists with a shared passion for tabletop games. Over the past few years we’ve been thrilled with how the hobby has grown, bringing masses of new players to the table and unleashing the creativity of talented designers and artists around the globe.
We want to celebrate this golden age of gaming with a gorgeous hardback book exploring some of the year’s most exciting releases – packed with gaming insight and analysis, designer interviews and stunning photography.
The campaign’s around 1/3 of the way to its goal with still 28 days left to go.
