Hey everyone. I hope your weekend is going well. My Saturday was spent with some good friends that I don’t get to see nearly enough, talking about glorious moments from games past, listening to some humorous gaming radio-plays, getting into wacky hijinks, and just generally being odd (while mostly listening to hair metal, because why not?).

As for today, it’s time to serve up some bite-sized stories to you.

In this batch we have:

Heer46 Indiegogo Kampagne 1943 Kharkov is online

Heer46

We now want to extend the Heer46-portfolio into 1:56 scale and our first project will be German elite infantry.

In the beginning our new line will focus on the Third Battle of Kharkov, which was fought during the winter of 1943.

Particular mention merits the so-called ‘Charkow-Parka’ that was worn by the ‘Waffen-SS’ and the ‘Division Grossdeutschland’ during the battle. Of course the miniatures are also fitting for all other battles fought on the Eastern Front until 1945.

Heroic Maps – Summoning Rooms Terrain Maps Released

Summoning Rooms

Summoning Rooms is a set of printable dungeon floorplan compatible with any RPG/Dungeon-Crawl game. Use as a standalone gameboard, or combine with any same-scale tileset.

Contains: 3 small battlemaps depicting summoning rooms and chambers, with arcane symbols and portals.

Uses: Ideal for quick encounters, or as secret rooms in dungeons or castles. Summoning rooms can be used as chambers for ancient rituals, the summoning of demons, mystical ceremonies or teleportation devices.

Quantum Gothic: Large Power Generator Module V2K resin kit back on line

Another of our ‘historical’ milestones from the scenery range has just made a comeback to our web-shop and now is ready to order!
I’m talking of course of the Power Generator V2K Module resin kit which thanks to its ‘modularity’ it can be extended to be a very large industrial piece of Power Unit for any war-game scenery.
Power Up!

Manorhouse Workshop Update #31 – Modular Underground Project – compatible with Dwarven Forge items

Hello everyone.
Today we answer a question that many of you have addressed from the beginning of the project: “Your system, can be used by owners of Dwarven Forge items ?” The answer is: yes!
We have prepared a table with our matched dungeons to the beautiful caves of DF and a section of the tavern, to make you see a possible combination between the two products. The result is fantastic.
The caves of D.F. They integrate perfectly with our sewers and underground.
I think with this exhaustive post we were able to dispel any doubt about the compatibility between the two systems.
All the best. Lorenzo

Post Captain sailing soon from Old Dominion GameWorks

Post Captain Cover

There have been a number of fine games written to simulate the great fleet actions that decided the fate of nations. But, these battles can be counted on two hands. For every fleet action, there were a hundred frigate, sloop and small ship of the line engagements that turned “command of the sea” into the daily reality of using and controlling the sea lanes.

It is time for a game that focuses on the single ship duels and small squadron actions that were the main fare of sea officers – a game that provides you an opportunity to highlight seamanship and experience the differences in armament, crews and types of ships along with the details of sea tactics in this era. POST CAPTAIN has been developed to do just that.

It enables you to simulate convoy actions, commerce raiding, cutting out expeditions, gunboat clashes, and shore raids along with a variety of single ship duels and small squadron actions. Boat and cargo handling, challenge and deception, current and tide, floating batteries and shore defenses, kedging, mortar bombardments by bomb vessels, prize crews, stern way, blanketing and wind shadow and the less well known types of sailing rigs and vessels are all covered

Set during naval warfare in the period 1793 – 1815 ( the height of Age of Sail Era – the Napoleonic Wars and the War of 1812) and is designed for naval miniatures of all scales.

Announcing new Age of Sail clear acrylic ship bases with etched wakes…

ODGW is pleased to announce new additions to our line of clear acrylic ship bases. These bases are designed with a different wake pattern more inline with a ship underway with wind power rather than mechanical power.

There will be FOUR new bases added to accomodate Sloops, Cutters, up to Man of Wars. The bases are sized 4″ x 1.5″, 4″ x 1.25″, 2.5″ x 1″, and 2″ x 1″.

Fury: Outburst Control is coming to Kickstarter June 10th

Imagine a mad world dominated by fake gods, dominated by an old and traditionnalist Orc empire. Where magic and machines clash for gold, glory and other futile reasons…
Fury is a fast and furious skirmish game, in a crazy humourous world.
No grim dark austere violent world, there enough of them.
The game has his own graphical identity, inspired by old-school comics, far away from the multiple copycats we can see among the industry.
The KS will allow us to give life to the pirates and to awesome “heavy weapons creatures”, and to get printed cards and QSR.
Like our previous IGG, thats a real crowdfunding, not just a pre-sale operation!
Discover a new original world and range.
Use the power of Fury to win the battle!

Gangfight Games Previews Werecatcher for Blackwater Gulch

Werecatcher

We’ve got a new artillery piece to show off. This is the Werecatcher. It’s designed to slow down those pesky beasts (or people) and keep them from running all over the place.
This will be added to our upcoming Savage Beasts kickstarter in July. It uses the same exact wheels and carriage as the Gatling Gun, the only new parts are the ballista top and the vertical blades on the front are a 2nd piece that you just glue onto the front.

Wadaya think?

In other news, our Werewolf and Chupacabra sculpts are in the process of getting the master molds done. We should have samples in a couple of weeks, then we’ll paint them up and be ready to launch the new campaign in July 🙂 Stay tuned!

Brigade Models Release Several New 15mm Packs

We’ve added several new 15mm SF items to our website this week.

Our EuroFed Asterie remote weapon mounts, which pair turrets from the Tassigny APC series to a static platform to create autonomous weapon mounts that can be used to defend a base or perimeter. Four variations exists – a twin-MG, 5-barrel gatling, twin AT missile or 9-tube salvo missile.

We’ve also added several sets of figures – the first are South African infantry in bush hats, perfect for operations on the plains of southern Africa, and as you can see they fit in nicely with our range of SAC vehicles.

In addition, there are Chinese (CDSU) troopers in helmets with enhanced night vision goggles (ENVG). The rifle squad consists of two four-man fireteams with rifles and two remote support drones with a gatling automatic weapon for heavy firepower. The support squad has three heavy rifles and two rocket launchers.

SF15-413 – Asterie Gun Mount – £1.25
SF15-413a – Asterie Gatling Mount – £1.25
SF15-413b – Asterie Missile Mount – £1.25
SF15-413c – Oursin Salvo Missile Launcher – £1.50
SF15-560 – PLA Rifle Squad (pack of 10) – £3.75

SF15-660 – SAC Rifle Squad in Bush Hats – £3.75

Finally, we’re attending our local show, Broadside this coming weekend. It’s an excellent do, well run by the friendly hosts, Milton Hundred Wargames Club. It will be held on Sunday 14th from 10-4pm at the Swallows Leisure Centre, Sittingbourne, Kent. As an added bonus, our friend Robin Fitton (author of Gruntz) is running a demo’ of his new Imperial Skies rules using our Aeronef models which you can join in.
