Wyrd Previews Infiltrators for The Other Side

Fridays are already pretty damn awesome. Then Wyrd steps in with their regular Friday previews and things just get awesome-er. Hey, no red, squiggly line under it means that’s a real word. Anyway, they continue their look at The Other Side with a preview of the Infiltrators. When the King’s Empire needs to get information without their enemies knowing, they send in the Infiltrators. They’ll get the job done right.

Wyrd Posts Monday Through The Breach Preview

You know, with Wyrd posting up a regular preview on Mondays, it’s not such a bad day after all. It could certainly be worse, is what I’m saying. This time around, it’s another look at Above the Law for Through the Breach. Check out the Witchling Handler.

Wyrd’s Winter Wonderland Issue Is Your Gain

Working in the gaming industry, there’s a lot of going ahead with plans as set on your timetables and hoping that everything should work out right. Occasionally, they don’t. Something comes back from the printer’s that’s messed up. A sculptor’s work gets destroyed in a freak accident. Or you end up with a box of minis that are miscast. Unfortunately, that last one is what happened to Wyrd with their Winter Wonderland box that’s part of their holiday sale. However, their loss is your gain. They’re tossing in another mini with the box (though it will be a bit of a delay in getting your sets).

Wyrd Previews Propagandist From Above the Law

It could be said that all advertising is some form of propaganda. And, really, all the stories on here are a form of advertising. So, it could be argued, that I’m in the propaganda business. Though I’m not really sure I like the ring of that. But waddyagonnado? You’re gonna read about the Propagandist pursuit coming from the Above the Law expansion for Through the Breach.

Wyrd Games Posts Black Friday Sale Announcement

We’re just a couple days away from the start of all the Black Friday Sales (well, except for those couple that’ve already started). In the case of Wyrd, they tend to go all-out, and this year is certainly no different. They’ve posted up what they’ll be selling. It’s quite a lot, so check it out.

Wyrd Previews Gunner For Above The Law

You know, if you’re going to have a gun, you might as well know how to use it properly. And not just little guns, either. But big ones. Really big ones. Really, really big ones. Such is the case with the Gunner pursuit from Through the Breach: Above the Law. We get a look at how they’ll work in today’s Monday Wyrd Preview.

Wyrd Previews Alternate Rasputina For Malifaux

I love alternate sculpts for minis. I truly do. They’re a great way to add some personality and customization to your armies and teams without having to be a professional modeller, yourself. Plus, for those that are sticklers for such, they’re not proxies, so they’re good in any tourney or event. Wyrd’s well-known for coming out with lots of alternate figures for Malifaux, and they tend to have a lot of them during their sales. In this case, it’s their upcoming holiday sale. Check out this alternate Rasputina.

Wyrd Posts Friday The Other Side Preview

While I’m taking the day off, the folks over at Wyrd aren’t. They’ve got their regular Friday preview up. This time, it’s the Armored Whelk.
… Man, the last time I thought about whelks was the last time I watched that Monty Python skit where John Cleese does the nature documentary in the middle of the people’s living room… Anyway, Armored Whelks (I’d name mine Lawrence).

Wyrd’s Malifaux App Now Available

Having an app to help you play your miniatures games is nice. You can have all your cards, as well as your opponent’s cards, right at your finger tips. Need to look up a rule? That’s usually on there, too. Keep track of wounds and abilities used. It’s got a lot going on. That’s where Wyrd’s at with their new Malifaux app. You can get it now.

Wyrd Previews The Bureaucrat For Through the Breach

Bureaucracy makes the world go ’round. It might not initially seem like the most thrilling class to take in a game, the one that has connections and is good at negotiations, but all of those are very useful skills to have. In Wyrd’s Monday Preview, they’re showing off the Bureaucrat specialization for Through the Breach. Go have a look-see.

Wyrd Previews Crow Runners For The Other Side

You’d think that crows would fly, or just kinda walk. But these are Crow Runners. They’re an Abyssinian unit for Wyrd’s upcoming The Other Side minis game. And seeing how Wyrd loves to make Fridays as awesome as they can be, they’ve posted up a preview.

Wyrd Monday Preview

Mondays are generally considered pretty rough. You’re ripped from the weekend and tossed back into the work week as far from another weekend as possible. But Wyrd does their best to soften the blow with their regular previews. They’ve decided to give us another look at the upcoming Above the Law book. This time around, it’s a preview of the Magewright.

Wyrd Friday Preview Posted

It’s Friday. So that means a couple things. Mostly, me being excited about the weekend. But it also means that it’s time for a new preview from Wyrd Games. They are continuing their series on The Other Side today with a look at the Empire Dragoons. Because a cavalry charge is still an effective way of dealing with enemies.

Friday Snippets

It’s Fridaaaaaaaay! Gateway to the weekend! Woo!
My weekend is going to be chill. I mean… sure, as a polar bear, I’m always chill, but I’m just gonna hang out at home. I’ve actually been meaning to give the place a good cleaning. But next weekend will be full of gaming. That I guarantee. But gaming weekend or not, it’s good to fill up on some bite-size gaming stories.

On the platter today: New Guild Ball Tokens Available From Advanced Deployment, K-Cup Castle Dispenser and Dice Tower up on Kickstarter, and Wyrd Games Pumpkin Carving Contest Happening Now.

Broken Promises Now Available In Digital Format

Just yesterday, I was talking with my friend about a game and a rules question came up. We didn’t have the rulebook on hand, but we did have a digital version of it. So looking up the rule was super-easy. Now, don’t get me wrong. I love flipping through a rulebook, but having a digital version is also pretty damn handy. Well, for those that want Broken Promises, the Malifaux book, in PDF, you can now get it.

Wyrd Previews The Commander For Through The Breach

Wyrd keeps a nice, steady schedule for their previews. I can certainly appreciate that. I’m a big fan of routine. So, as it’s Monday, that means some new art to look at. In this case, it’s from the Through the Breach book, Above the Law. Check out the Commander.

Wyrd Posts New Medical Automaton Artwork

It’s Monday!
Ok, so it’s not. It’s actually Tuesday. I can tell because of the shirt I’m wearing. Many of us had Monday off here in the states, including me. So it’s a bit of catch-up this morning. One item is Wyrd’s regular Monday post. In this case, it’s some alternate art for the Medical Automaton for Malifaux.

Wyrd Previews Electrocutioners For The Other Side

I hate when the power goes out. And I’m sure most of you would agree. It’s never an opportune time. It’s always, “damn. I was right in the middle of ____.” Well, if you were an Electrocutioner, you could probably just plug your big gun-thing into the socket and power up whatever you needed. They’re today’s preview for The Other Side from Wyrd.

Wyrd Posts Up October Releases

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!
At least, as far as I’m concerned, anyway. And playing Malifaux certainly is appropriate, as it’s got a rather spooky and macabre feel to it. And now you can check out what will be released this month for the game (as well as a sneak-peek at what’ll be out next month).

Midweek Snippets

It’s halfway over. The work week is about half-done for most of us. With any luck, you’re looking forward to a weekend of gaming. I might be doing some of that. But I can guarantee that I’ll be doing some baking. Actually, that’ll start tomorrow. We’re having a chili and dessert cook-off here at the office on Friday. Then, over the weekend, I need to “pay for” a custom game mat design a friend did by baking him some of his favorite treats and sending them off. Hey, the barter system is alive and well among my friends. You do some graphic design for me and I’ll bake cookies and brownies for you. But before we get to those bite-size treats, let’s nosh on some bite-size gaming stories.

Today on the platter we have: Final Days for Cult of Barnacle Bay on Kickstarter, MASK FX Camouflage tape is back, 17 New Releases Available From Dark Sword Miniatures, New Void Elves Available From Raging Heroes, New Orc Mechanic Available From Kromlech, and Voting For Round 1 of Iron Painter Happening Now.

Wyrd Previews Bayou Smuggler for Malifaux

You know, if you want an illegal bayou, or don’t want to have to pay all sorts of nasty import taxes on a bayou, you get yourself a bayou smuggler. Only they are able to get these hard-to-transport marshy outlets of a lake or river to you.
*gets handed a note*
Oh… they don’t actually smuggle bayous. They are just smugglers who happen to reside in a bayou.
That… makes a lot more sense.
Anyway, Wyrd is showing off artwork for one that wasn’t in the Broken Promises book, as well as giving us a bit of background on them.

Wyrd Previews Breachlings For The Other Side

It’s Wyrds tradition to book-end the work week with previews. Mondays we get some new Malifaux artwork. Friday we get a The Other Side preview. Well, I’ve got my Friday shirt on. So that must mean it’s time for a The Other Side preview. And Wyrd’s right on time to give it to us. This time around, it’s the grotesque Breachlings.

Wyrd’s Iron Painter Competition Happening Now

Most painting competitions out there have you paint up a single piece and submit it as your entry. Wyrd’s Iron Painter is like that… kinda, except for the fact that you’re doing that multiple times in a row, each time with a new piece that has to be better than the last one if you want to advance on. It’s painting at your highest level consistently over the course of the competition. Not many can hack it (I certainly can’t!). But if you think you can, now’s your chance to enter.
