Wyrd Monday Preview – Bone Pile

Wyrd, in their quest to make the last day of the week even more awesome and the first day of the week not so bad, have a regular preview schedule. They’re sticking with it today as they give us a preview of the Bone Pile, a new figure coming in Broken Promises. Extra bonus: this isn’t the artwork from the book. So here’s your only chance to see it.

Wyrd Friday Preview – Striped Skulkers

Fridays are already pretty damn cool. But Wyrd does their best to make it even moreso with their regular previews. And today is no different. This time around, we get a look at the Striped Skulkers for The Other Side. They’re not as big and flashy as some of the things that’ve been previewed, but they’re no less important on the battlefield.

Wyrd Games Monday Malifaux Preview

Mondays don’t tend to people’s favorite day of the week. Wyrd, however, does their best to make it not so bad. They’ve got their regular Monday previews that they post. Today is no different. Friday afternoon is here. And as we get ready for the glory that is the weekend, we’ve got one more story for you today. We would be remiss to not give you your regular Friday The Other Side preview, complements of Wyrd. This time around, it’s the Dreadnaught, titan of the Abyssinian army.

Wyrd’s Iron Painter Competition Happening Now

Most painting competitions out there have you paint up a single piece and submit it as your entry. Wyrd’s Iron Painter is like that… kinda, except for the fact that you’re doing that multiple times in a row, each time with a new piece that has to be better than the last one if you want to advance on. It’s painting at your highest level consistently over the course of the competition. Not many can hack it (I certainly can’t!). But if you think you can, now’s your chance to enter.

Wyrd Posts Friday The Other Side Preview

I’ve mentioned that there’s tons of stuff going on this weekend. That includes Burning Man. So, considering Wyrd posts a preview from The Other Side each Friday, and today’s Friday, and Burning Man is going on, they figured they’d show off the titan for the Cult of the Burning Man. Seems appropriate.

Wyrd Games Previews the Lord of Steel for The Other Side

Fridays are pretty damn awesome, if you ask me. This is well-known. Part of the reason is because Wyrd has their regular previews. Today, for The Other Side, we get a look at another Abyssinian commander. Now, when I think of the name “the Lord of Steel,” I have a certain picture in my mind. I have to say, this figure comes pretty close to it.

Wyrd Games Posts Gen Con Specials

I’ve mentioned how this week is flying by. That also means that Gen Con is flying towards us at a very high rate of speed (about 24 hours per day). There’s still lots of prep to do before the show, such as getting a “to buy” list together for all the cool things that’re gonna be at the show. Wyrd is well-known for having lots of cool show specials. And they’ve posted them all in one place to help you sort through them all.

Wyrd Previews The Frenzy For The Other Side

You know, bull sharks have been seen in fresh water. They have been found in rivers in Australia and in places even as far away from the ocean as St. Louis. And that’s with them swimming in the water. Just think if those sharks could run across the land. Well, unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on if you’re looking at their teeth or their tail), in The Other Side, there are land sharks. He’s known as the Frenzy, and we get a look at him (he’s apparently a commander, even!) in this Friday Preview.

Wyrd Games Hiring Game Designer

Wyrd Games is looking for a new game designer to join their team. This is one of those “big jobs” that everyone’s looking to get in the gaming industry. Get your resume together and send it in.

Wyrd Posts New Art Preview

It’s always cool to see new artwork for the games you love coming out. Wyrd’s really good about giving regular previews of what they’ve been working on. And this is no exception. In this preview, we get a look at the Bultungin… I don’t know what that is, exactly, but it looks like a hyena-man.

Podcast Roundup

But, but but… it’s Wednesday!
I know. I know. But this has been a strange week. Got home from the Expo the other day and spent the first part of Monday at the mechanic to get my car checked out. Then got home and found that, due to a crack in my tub underneath my bathmat, water had been leaking into my bedroom closet. Apparently, it’s been doing it for a while, since the carpet and several boxes were moldy (I lost a whole box of 3.5 and a couple 4.0 D&D books). Then there was the server migration and… yeah, I am ready for the weekend. So, as I sit, waiting for the repairmen to come over to resurface my bathtub, I’m going to pop on some gaming podcasts. Yes, it’s a day late, but better late than never.

Today we have: Meeples & Miniatures Episode 209: Vexillia Card Games; The Polyhedron Collider Cast Episode 24: Dark Souls, Farsight, Petrichor, Ravage and Exit; Epic Gaming Night Podcast Episode 105: Crossfire Road with Emerson; Gamers Lounge Episode 137: A bit of a mystery; Mantic Radio Episode 9; Rolling Dice & Taking Names Episode 118: 2017 Summer Movie Preview; The Cardboard Herald Episode 27: Reiner Knizia, designer of ALL THE GAMES; Lords of the Dungeon 3: On Rails vs Sandbox Campaigns; Singled Out Episode 33: Talking Season 3 Brewers with Sherwin; Blue Peg, Pink Peg Episode 98: Yokohama; Tales of Malifaux 55; and News of the North – 2017-05-16.
