WizKids Releases Sidereal Confluence

Trade! Trade is the name of the game in Sidereal Confluence: Trading and Negotiation in the Elysian Quadrant (quite the name there). But what one person wants, another one might not want them to have. So it might take some heated negotiations so you can get what you want. And, of course, in the end, only one economy can be the greatest, so you have to be on the lookout for someone wanting to get ahead.

WizKids Announces Wartime Tabletop War Game

Pretty much all of us have played a video game where we have different units that attack at different speeds. Sure, that artillery unit can do a ton of damage, but it takes a while to reload. Those scouts, though, can attack time and again. Well, WizKids is looking to bring that sort of timing to the tabletop in Wartime, a real-time combat game utilizing little sand timers to let you know when units can activate.

WizKids Announces Dungeon Hustle Board Game

Where there’s dungeons, there’s monsters. There also tends to be treasure. As such, explorers are always headed into them to find that treasure and kill the monsters. The dungeon in Dungeon Hustle is no different. Though the tiles are a bit more color-coded than just the dull grey floor of most. Dungeon Hustle is a new board game coming from WizKids. In it, players will take on the role of adventurers headed through it, moving along the colored paths in order to get the best bonuses.

Deadline Now Available From WizKids

I deal with deadlines every day. Hell, I sort of have one every hour from 9am to 6pm, M-F. I make it, most of the time. Though, thankfully, none of my deadlines deal with murder and intrigue in 1930s New York. For that, I would have to go play Deadline, the new investigation card game from WizKids, which is available now.

WizKids Previews The Skyscraper Wonder Woman for HeroClix

For the 15th anniversary set of HeroClix, WizKids is headed to the Elseworlds, a group of alternate-realities from the DC Universe we normally know. We all know that Wonder Woman is pretty big right now, what with her hit movie and all. But, in the comics, she was big, literally. Like, a walking building big. We get a look at what that’d look like on your tabletops in this preview.

WizKids Announces Thistleguard Range of Pre-Painted Miniatures

You know, for a company called WizKids, they don’t have a lot of miniatures that are kids that are wizards. Well, they’re looking to fix that issue. They’re also going to have kid clerics and kid rangers and all other sorts. That’s what their Thistleguard range of miniatures is all about. Kid adventurers and their sidekicks.

Superman and Wonder Woman Set Available For DiceMasters

The next set for Dice Masters is available down at your LGS. It’s the Superman and Wonder Woman starter set. This is the first starter set for the game that’s not tied to a larger set release. As with usual starter sets, though, it’s got enough dice for two players to get started right away building their teams, rolling their dice, and fighting it out.

WizKids Previews Elseworlds Batman For HeroClix

So, the previous Batman preview garnered some discussion, mostly about physique. Not sure this one will have as much of that, but still, it might. There’s certainly been more than one alternate version of Batman over the years (have they done the rainbow suits yet?), and here’s another that’s coming in the Elseworlds set for HeroClix.

WizKids Previews Green Arrow For HeroClix

It has been a very long time (since high school gym class) since I’ve shot a bow and arrow. At the time, we used two hands. Well, some people don’t have two hands, so they have to improvise. In the upcoming Elseworlds set for HeroClix, there’s a version of Green Arrow that has lost an arm. He’s not letting it get him down, though.

DiceBot Megafun Now Available From WizKids

If you’re going to name your game, name your game. That’s just what WizKids has done with DiceBot Megafun. In the game, players are looking to create their own robot by heading to the junkyard and picking up parts. Then, once their bots are all prepped and loaded out with weapons, they’ll fight to the finish. Only one will be left standing, while the others will go back to the junkyard from whence they came. The game is available now.

WizKids Previews Elseworlds – Diana Prince For HeroClix

Marvel isn’t the only comic company getting a 15th Anniversary Set for HeroClix. DC is getting their own, too. And much like the Marvel set featured What If? scenarios, the DC one is focusing on the Elseworlds, alternative versions of various characters from their own worlds. In this preview, we get a look at Diana Prince.

WizKids Announces Fantasy Realms Card Game

When it comes to a fantasy kingdom, the only limit is your imagination. You can build them just about any way you want. And that’s what you’ll be doing in Fantasy Realms, a card game coming soon from WizKids. In it, players take on the role of a leader of their own kingdom. By playing cards, they’ll build up said realm, choosing how they want to spend their resources. In the end, the player with the mightiest realm is the winner.

What If? Set for HeroClix Now Available

The latest set for HeroClix, the What If? set, is now available. Though it’s more than just a new set of figures. It’s also a milestone. That being that this is the 15th Anniversary set for the game. It’s been an interesting road, with many twists and turns. Obviously, some years have been better than others. But for a game to be around and still be as supported as HeroClix is, it’s no small achievement.

WizKids Previews Venom Hulk For HeroClix

Comics can already be pretty weird on their own. But when you get into “What if…?” scenarios, it can get even stranger. In this case, it’s a look at what would happen if the Venom symbiote was attached to the Hulk, instead of Topher Grace… I mean, Spider Man and then Eddie Brock. Venom Hulk will be getting a mini in the new set for HeroClix, and you can get a look at it here.

WizKids Previews In-Betweener For HeroClix

You can’t have light without dark. You can’t have good without bad. You can’t have up without down. These cosmic rules are kept in check by the In-Betweener, a being that’s the embodiment of balance in the Marvel universe. And soon, he’ll be making his way to your HeroClix games, as the new What If…? set is going to have him in it. Check it out.

WizKids Previews White Lanterns For Dice Masters

The Green Lanterns aren’t the only color there is. Some of you might also know about the Yellow Lanterns. But even those are just two of the many, each one representing a different emotion or concept. The White Lanterns represent life, and it’s a couple of White Lantern cards for Dice Masters that we get a preview of here. You can pick these up in the new Batman set, available now.

WizKids Announces Sidereal Confluence Board Game

Economies are big, complicated things, and keeping one running, what with its various special needs (based on the individuals in control of them), is difficult. There’s going to be a need for compromise and negotiation. And that’s just what you’ll be doing in Sidereal Confluence, a new game coming from WizKids. In it, players will be the heads of various alien governments, looking to power their economies. No one is able to run solely on their own, so you must work with other players, even as you look to grow your economy faster and make it stronger than theirs.

WizKids Previews What If…? Daredevils

Where we are now is because of a long series of decisions, situations, and happenstance. But what if anything along the way had been different? How would things change? Well, in comics, you can actually change stuff around like that and see what might’ve happened. Like, what if Daredevil was an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.? That’s what we get a look at here in this HeroClix preview.

Crown of Fangs Miniatures Set For Pathfinder Battles Now Available From WizKids

Whenever you sit down for your RPG session, you want to have the right minis for the right situation. At least, I do my best to always have the proper mini to represent the enemies and NPCs out there. “Yeah, it’s all goblin minis, but they’re really giant spiders” isn’t as fun, if you ask me. Well, the folks at WizKids and Paizo feel much the same way. That’s why they’ve come out with their Crown of Fangs miniatures set for Pathfinder Battles.

WizKids Posts Two New Batman Dice Masters Previews

While Batman takes care of much of the crime problem in Gotham, he doesn’t work alone. Commissioner Gordon certainly does all he can from within a system that seems tailor-made for corruption and ineptitude. He’s getting a card and dice in the upcoming Dice Masters set, as is it Bat-Signal.

WizKids Previews Hawk and Dove For Dice Masters

A new DC-centered Dice Masters set is hitting soon from WizKids. Though the focus is on Batman, as always, there’s plenty more heroes and villains to check out. A pair of do-gooders with vastly different approaches, Hawk and Dove, are among the new heroes showing up. You can get a look at them here.

WizKids Previews Cheetah For HeroClix

The new Wonder Woman set gets ever-closer to release for HeroClix. As always, the set includes characters from both the “good” and “bad” side of the law. In this case, it’s Cheetah. Because one Cat-Woman wasn’t enough for the DC universe (not to say Mervel doesn’t have a couple of their own). Anyway, she’s getting a new version in this set and you can take a look at her here.

WizKids Previews The Flash For HeroClix

The Wonder Woman set for HeroClix will be coming out soon. In it, they’ll have more than just Wonder Woman. Though, with all the different versions characters go through in comics, I could see them coming out with a set of “just one character.” Anyway, one (well, two of the figures, since he’s got a couple versions) of the figures in the set is going to be The Flash. This is the Wally West version, for anyone curious.

New Celestial Minis and Terrain Pieces Coming from WizKids

A lot of people were excited to see the unpainted line of figures coming from WizKids. Well, they’ve heard you and are thus going to be expanding the line. And, once more, they’ve heard you. They’ve also planned a set of terrain features that will be in the packs to help add some 3D to your gaming maps.

WizKids Announces D&D Icons of the Realms Epic Level Starter

Role playing characters level up (unless they get killed off or your group can never manage to get together for a game). It’s sort of what they do. They gain new abilities and gear. Things change. So why shouldn’t your miniatures? WizKids has announced their D&D Icons of the Realms Epic Level Starter set. It takes the figures from the regular Icons of the Realms starter set and, well, levels them up.

WizKids Previews Captain America For HeroClix

One of the bigger announcements in comic books in the past year or so was the revelation that Captain America had always been a deep-cover Hydra agent this whole time.
Spoilers: it’s not that they retconned all of Steve’s backstory from the beginning. It’s that Red Skull is having some fun with the Cosmic Cube and time travel. But it certainly did shake things up. Well, the “secretly a Hydra agent this whole time” version of Cap is headed to HeroClix in the Avengers/Defenders War set.

WizKids Previews Dr. Strange For HeroClix

In the upcoming Avengers/Defenders War set for HeroClix, some of the heroes are listed as “title characters.” They have special abilities tied to them called… well, “title character abilities.” This allows them to gain and spend Plot Points in order to do special things on the board. Dr. Strange is one such character coming in the set.
