Circle players will be interested, in-particular.

Midweek Snippets

We’re reaching the peak. After this, it’s a slide back down to the weekend. I’m hoping to have some friends over for gaming and cooking, as well as basically a “mini-Halloween” party (my apartment’s not really that big. Hard to have more than 4-5 people over 😛 ). There will be Cryx Necrotite Sugar Cookies, Atomic Peanut Butter Balls, and a bubbling cauldron of gumbo.
But that’s as may be. Right now, we’ve got a bunch of bite-size gaming stories to give you.

On the platter today we have: Zucati Dice: Retro Classic Pure Aluminum Dice On Kickstarter, Totentanz Miniatures to Make Corvus Belli’s 15mm Historical Miniatures Range, Purgatory Shows off 2 freshly completed models for the Kickstarter, New Swan Faction Tokens from Advanced Deployment Now Available, Ramshackle Abomination and Robot Sale, Armorcast LLC announces the Fifth Cinematic Effects Modeling Contest, Last Days To Enter Tercio Creativo’s Wipley Drawing, New Releases Available From Micro Art Studio, Ouroboros Miniatures’ First Release Now Available, 5-Minute Dungeon Coming to Kickstarter Next Week, and Era: The Consortium – A Universe of Expansions Kickstarter in the last week.

New 2-Player Starter Sets Available For Warmachine and Hordes From Privateer Press

Many times now you’ve probably read about my love of the 2-player starter box for games. My first foray into miniatures gaming was via a 2-player starter. It’s a great way to rope in… I mean… join in with a friend and have ready-to-play forces (once the glue dries, generally, anyway). Well, with the new edition of Warmachine and Hordes, Privateer Press has come out with new 2-player starters. They also have a new Cryx warjack box available today, too.

Review Roundup

Hey there everyone,
We’ve made it to Saturday, so that once again means it’s time for a Review Roundup. A bit lighter this week than usual. I’m sure that’s due to Gen Con last weekend. I expect, though, that the next couple weeks will be pretty full of new reviews. I know several reviewers were getting copies of the new CMON games, at least.

Also: We’re looking into what’s up with the TGN Blogs page. We’ll let you know when we find out anything.

Anyway, as for today, we’ve got: Battle of the Bands, Get Adler, Super Hack Override, Beneath Nexus, Legends of Andor New Heroes Expansion, Warmachine Cephalyx Mind Slaver & Drudges, Mansions of Madness 2nd Edition, Pandemic: Reign of Cthulhu, Tyrants of the Underdark, Animals On Board, Farmageddon: Farm Fresh Edition, and Stellar Conflict.

Privateer Press Previews New Behemoth Figure for Warmachine

I remember having the original Behemoth figure. … Never was quite sure on the posing of that guy. He always seemed like he was trying to do a little jig or something. Well, Privateer decided the Dancing Behemoth needed a bit of an update, so they were working on a reculpt, which they’re now ready to show off.

Privateer Press Previews Cygnar for Warmachine MkIII

When I first started playing Warmachine, I played Khador. When MkII came out, I swapped to Cygnar because, in my opinion, Khador didn’t really change any, while Cygnar got some really cool, new things (models that hadn’t been viable before became viable, and so forth). Well, we’ve now got a preview of what Cygnar will be getting in the new MkIII edition of Warmachine. Will I be swapping armies again?

It’s coming down to the wire, folks. The new edition of Warmachine and Hordes is almost upon us. What have you thought about the previews so far? Has it reignited your love for the game? Privateer Press Previews Menoth for Warmachine MkIII

As we get closer to the release of the new MkIII rules for Warmachine/Hordes, we continue to get glimpses into what sort of changes are being made to the various factions. Absolutely everything is getting an overhaul, even if it’s just in points cost. But a lot of things are getting taken back to the drawing board and looked back over. I’m sure everyone’s rather anxious to see what their favorite models will end up playing like. Well, here’s another look. This time around, it’s Menoth.

Privateer Press Previews Jack Marshals From Warmachine MkIII

Privateer Press’ Jason Soles is giving us another look inside the upcoming MkIII version of Warmachine and Hordes. This time around, the focus is on Jack Marshals (pun… somewhat intended). And it’s not just Jack Marshals, but any character that can run a Warjack or control a Warbeast that we get a look at.
