It’s Saturday and I’m finally playing in our second session of a D&D campaign that had its first one over a month ago. Tom Petty was right, the waiting is the hardest part. Anyway, while I pretend that I’m a magical music-man, you can read about all the games that people wanted to talk extra about.
This week we have: Fate of the Elder Gods, Posthuman Saga, Alien Artifacts: Discovery, Warfighter, Karuba, GKR Heavy Hitters, Vampires vs Unicorns: Floor Wars, Skyward, Dispatch: On the Run, Darwin’s Choice, and Villagers.
It’s Saturday. Those of you that are at KingdomCon, be sure to selfie responsibly. #RossFace
For me, it’s the weekend before CMON Expo, so I’m super-busy getting things put together for the show. Lots to do, both work-related and just other things I need to get done.
In the meantime, though, I’m taking a break from baking German Chocolate Cake Cookies to bring you your regularly-scheduled Review Roundup.
Today we have: Blood Rage, Gempacked Cards, Star Realms, Polyversal, Scathach Games M.T.S Shipping Containers, Tash-Kalar Everfrost Expansion, VS 2PCG Defenders Expansion, Twilight Struggle Digital, Onimata, Warfighter, Stronghold 2nd Ed., Adventure Land, Thunder & Lightning, Celestia, Greedy Greedy Goblins, Splendor iOS, Feed the Shoggoth, Kingdom Death: Monster, and Res Publica 2230AD.
Well… it was worth the wait. We find ourselves once more in Saturday.
Anyway, let’s get to the various review articles we’ve bee coming across recently. I present to you the Review Roundup.
This week we have articles on: Dark Stories, Hunt: The Unknown Quarry, Hengist, Mystery! Motive for Murder, Porta Nigra, A Study in Emerald, One Night Revolution, Bountytown, Zombie Tower 3D, Fall of Magic, Terrakami Games MagLev Train MkII, Seven7s Card Game, Warfighter, and Phantom Fury.
Wednesday. The previous weekend is two days behind us. The next weekend is two days ahead of us. We are perched atop a precipice. Which isn’t to say “it’s all downhill from here,” but I guess you could consider it as such.
At the very least, I hope the first half of the week went smoothly and that the rest of the week follows suit.
In the meantime, we’ve got our collection of bite-sized stories we want to present to you now.
In this batch we have: Adarga Castings releases new 28mm Korean War Communist Forces, Heroic Maps Releases Wardenhale: Docks, The Gentleman’s Query, A Refined Coin Series – Coin #1 on Kickstarter, Voodooworx Miniatures Launch New Website, Warfighter/Skirmish Sangin “Hearts and Minds” Free Scenario Releases, 15mm Orc Buildings pre-order offer at 15mm.co.uk, Punkapocalyptic Previews Stretch Goals on Indiegogo, Monster Dice by Trilania up on Kickstarter, Brigade Models – new 2mm English Forts, Red Duke Games Announces Upcoming Kickstarter for Numinous card game, Dungeon Revolutions by Brickerium coming soon to Kickstarter, and Free Robot Stretch Goal Added to Ramshackle Robots Kickstarter.
Flytrap Factory has released their new 15mm Royal Marines over on their website.
From the release:
Ladies and Gents
This month brings you the latest from us here at the factory, and this time its the British Royal Marines who will lend their firepower to the ongoing fight for democracy.
This blister contains 15 miniatures, enough to field a full rifle section as well as having a couple of officer types in berets to fill in as platoon command options for those seeking to run larger scenarios.
We hope you like these little guys, they were a hoot to sculpt up and a very welcome addition to the on going Warfighter range.
