Hey everyone. Congratulations as you’ve made it to the weekend. Saturday is here and that means it’s time to sit back and relax some. Hopefully you’ve got something gaming-related going on. I might be working (on a super-secret project that’s set to revolutionize the gaming world!!! … 😉 ), but it’s still at least gaming related. I also have a fresh 12-pack of Mt. Dew Pitch Black. So it’s a good day. But anyway, let’s get to those reviews I know you all love so much.
Today we have: Bite Nite, Papayoo, Dungeon Busters, Steampunk Rally, Castle Panic Engine of War Expansion, Colt Express (iOS), Gangs of Cammorragh, Star Wars: Destiny, New York Slice, Burano, Mysterium App, Seasons, and Tyrants of the Underdark.
Hey there everyone,
We’ve made it to Saturday, so that once again means it’s time for a Review Roundup. A bit lighter this week than usual. I’m sure that’s due to Gen Con last weekend. I expect, though, that the next couple weeks will be pretty full of new reviews. I know several reviewers were getting copies of the new CMON games, at least.
Also: We’re looking into what’s up with the TGN Blogs page. We’ll let you know when we find out anything.
Anyway, as for today, we’ve got: Battle of the Bands, Get Adler, Super Hack Override, Beneath Nexus, Legends of Andor New Heroes Expansion, Warmachine Cephalyx Mind Slaver & Drudges, Mansions of Madness 2nd Edition, Pandemic: Reign of Cthulhu, Tyrants of the Underdark, Animals On Board, Farmageddon: Farm Fresh Edition, and Stellar Conflict.
It’s the Saturday before Gen Con. A week from now we’ll be shoulder-deep in the show.
Of course, that means this weekend is full of running around like a chicken with its head cut off, trying to get everything done before heading to Indy.
But, even with all the brouhaha, there’s time to bring you the reviews that you so desperately desire.
This week we have: Book of Nox Deluxe, Fishy Tactics, Agamemnon, Infinity Morat Rodoks, Tyrants of the Underdark, Scythe, Dungeon Busters, Dead of Winter: The Long Night, Portal: The Uncooperative Cake Acquistion Game, Vampire Hunters, Via Nebula, Antarctica, Titan Race, Agricola: Revised Edition, and Vikings on Board.
I said the other day that this weekend is going to be crazy with everyone getting any sort of last-minute things ready for the show. That includes letting people know what sort of things will be waiting for them when they get to a particular booth. Also, that includes me taking a Saturday to share all that news coming in with you. It’s cool, though. Gamers, on the whole, are pretty cool people, especially guys like Peter over at Gale Force Nine. He’s posted up what they’ll be bringing with them to the show and wanted me to share. So here you go.
Saturday of a long weekend, too. All. The. Bonus!
But that doesn’t mean I’m going to shirk my duties. You want your review articles, and I’m here to give them to you.
So I present to you: Who Knew, Everdawn, Flick ‘Em Up, Night of Man, Ra, Through the Ages: A New Story of Civilization, Tyrants of the Underdark, VIII Corps: The Somme 1916, Wombat Rescue, Nefarious, Apotheca: The Secret Potion Society, Back to the Future: An Adventure Through Time, Dungeon Time, Bear Valley, and Millennium Blades.
Saturday! Glorious Saturday!
As you read this, I’m at a library that a friend works at. They’re having their first Board Game Day and so I’m playing some board games. Actually, there’s a very high likelihood that I’m playing Guild Ball, which isn’t really a board game, but it’s still alright.
Anyway, while I’m doing that, I’ve also got some review articles for you.
Today I have: Stolen Treasures, Escape from the Aliens in Outer Space: Ultimate Edition, Statecraft, Shinobi, Terminator Genisys Heavy Weapon Endoskeletons, Ice Cool, The CopyCat, Stak Bots Red, 51st State, Tyrants of the Underdark, StoryLine: Fairy Tales, Dr. Eureka, and Istanbul: Mocha & Baksheesh.
Gale Force Nine and Wizards of the Coast are teaming up to bring you a new board game set in the Dungeons & Dragons world. Yes, expanding out from their line of D&D minis, Gale Force Nine is coming out with Tyrants of the Underdark, a new board game by the designers of Lords of Waterdeep. Be sure to pack a flashlight (or torch, for some of you), it’s going to be dark down there.
