If you’re a regular reader, I’m sure you’ve figured out that my favorite day of the week is Saturday. And, I mean, it’s gaming day. What’s not to love about it? Hopefully you’ve found some gaming to be had.
And if you’re looking for a new game, I’ve got just the post for you. Get a look at a game before you buy it and see what others are saying about it in our Review Roundup.

In this batch we have: The Fiver with Sean Scott Garrity on Designing Time Jockeys, Corvus Corax Miniatures Kickstarter WIP pictures added, Jewels and Ancient Things – Final Week on Kickstarter.

Do you have any gaming lined up for this weekend?

We continue on with the post-Gen Con week’s work. Though I was able to keep up with a lot of things, obviously, things are going to fall behind in some areas. I’m almost out of the mountain of e-mails I’d gotten over the weekend. If I’ve not replied to you yet, don’t worry, I will. There’s just a lot to sort through.
At the moment, though, it’s sorting through a bunch of bite-sized stories.

With the drive to Indy yesterday, I obviously didn’t have much of a chance to make posts (and no, trying to type in the car all day was not an option. I would’ve gotten all the carsick). So today I bring you both the Midweek Snippets and today’s Terrain Corner together again in one place.

Hello, beautiful readers, and welcome to another Sunday. Here at the bear cave, I’m doing a bit of cleaning and then I’ve got some Gen Con prep to work on. Yeah, the show is getting ever-closer. It’ll be here before you know it. Just one more weekend after this before it’s here. Will you be coming to the show? If so, lemme know. Maybe we can talk gaming (one of my favorite activities).
But that’s for a couple weeks from now. At the moment, we’ve got some bite-sized stories to share.
In this batch we have: CROM: Conan Rise of Monsters has a teaser trailer for their Kickstarter launch, Gods and Monsters posts Kickstarter Video, A couple more installments of The Fiver from The Meeple Mechanic, Dead Earth Games Posts The Shattered Crown Gameplay Video, and DGS Games announces Freeblades Kickstarter stretch goals and future Demon Faction.
The work week rolls on. I’m once more in my Wednesday attire (Kansas State Baseball practice jersey over SIUE t-shirt), which is appropriate, seeing as it is Wednesday. With any luck, your week is going by nicely. Here at the office we’re looking to play some Age of Sigmar this afternoon. It’ll be our first time playing. Don’t worry, we’ll let you know how it went later in the week.
But at the moment, we’ve got a batch of bite-sized stories to give you.

Welcome back again to TGN. Hopefully you had a good day yesterday. I spent the morning cleaning the place up a bit. Then most of the afternoon assembling a little more than half of the Age of Sigmar box set. The other half will be done today, after I get this post scheduled up. I’ve just got the Khorne warrior-dudes left to go.

We’re halfway there, ladies and gentlemen. Halfway to the weekend. If you haven’t started making plans, now would be a good time. For those of you in the US, the 4th of July is Saturday. I’m sure cookouts will abound. And if you’re at one, why not bring along a game or two to play? There’s plenty of party games that would be most welcome at just about any gathering.
For me? I’m going to keep things low-key this weekend. I had two rather busy weekends in a row. So this weekend I’m going to stay at home and cook. What am I going to cook? … I’ve not figured that out yet. Suggestions would be welcome (and any accompanying recipes also welcome).
But as for right now, it’s time for some bite-sized stories.

I, as I mentioned in my post yesterday, am more-than-likely playing 2nd edition D&D when this will be posted to the site.
Some friends I know have a long-running campaign and the DM is writing me in as an occasionally-recurring NPC. Not sure what my character will be (at time of typing), but it should be a good time.
Anyway, that’s as may be. Right now, it’s time for some game reviews.
In this batch, we have reviews/previews of: Boss Monster 2, Dark City 30 Corner Apartment Building and Gargoyles, Golem Arcana, The Great War, Apotheca, Lord of the Rings board game, Hocus, Paradox, Kaleidoscope, Infinity, Penny Press, Argonauts, Argent: The Consortium, and Star Wars Armada.
Well, we’re mostly caught-up here after the Expo last weekend. Still a few things to deal with, but my inbox was actually down to a manageable level after going through it yesterday. Of course, it’s now filled back up again, but waddyagonnado?
Another thing that’s full is the box with the bite-sized stories we’ve collected over the past couple days.
Good thing it’s time for our regular Snippets post.

Be sure to check back on that day regularly as we post updates from the various panels that’ll be happening that day. If you’re interested in CMON’s games, you’ll want to check back often.

It’s Sunday (at least at time of posting in much of the world… stupid time zones…). I hope you were able to get out and get some gaming on yesterday (or perhaps some today). My party did not get TPK yesterday. Though some party relations were strained a bit. Remember, everyone, communication is key.
Also, Fighters hate having to make Will saves.

Saturday night’s alright for gaming. Well, all of Saturday is alright for gaming, really. At the time this posts, there might or might not be a TPK happening. For my player’s sake, hopefully they’ll not just “charge at the enemy” as their go-to strategy. But… that’s PCs for you.
But that’s as may be. In the meantime, we’ve got a collection of review articles we’ve collected from the week.
This week’s batch of reviews/previews includes: Homeland: The Game, Monstrous, Welcome to the Dungeon, Dimension, Ether Wars, Immortal, Sultan’s Library, and Forbidden Stars.
Give yourself a pat on the back. You’ve made it to another Wednesday. We’re halfway to the weekend. If you have any mid-week gaming plans, we’d love to hear about it down in the comments. Over the next couple days, I’ll be prepping for the D&D game I’m running on Saturday. Last session, the group narrowly avoided TPK twice. So obviously, I need to up my game some.

Hey, when you live in Atlanta, a lot of your thoughts turn to how the traffic is going to be. Trust me.
Anyway, in this batch of bite-sized stories we have: Kromlech New Release – Legionary Plasma Gun & Combat Blades, 6 more installments of The Fiver from The Meeple Mechanic, and The Ministry of Board Games Alternative media network launched.

The current DM and I are gonna tag out once more and I’m gonna take back over the campaign. Of course, that leaves my character I was playing. I’ve told the other DM I want him to go out in a blaze of glory. So we’ll see what happens.

My Saturday was full of building the Eisenkern APC from DreamForge-Games. Expect the review of that kit later this week. Sneak Preview: There are 12 trooper minis inside the model. Each model is made up of about 11 pieces. So that’s well over 100 parts just for models inside the tank.

If you’re reading this, you’ve made it to Saturday. You should reward yourself with some gaming with friends. You’ve earned it!
At the time this posts, I’ll be D&Ding it up with my gaming group. We managed to retrieve what is essentially “The Arc of the Bahamut” and are now trying to bring it back to its rightful owners (it’d been stolen by pirates, not the equivalent of Nazis). We were able to get it semi-easily because my Bard was able to get a local indigenous tribe to help us on the island we were on. High Charisma and Diplomacy for the win!
Anyway, we’ve got a couple reviews/previews for you this week.
In this group we’ve got: Hyperborea, Warmachine: High Command – Ultimate Weapons Expansion, Paperback, Pyramix, Just Desserts, and The Siblings Trouble.
Friday. One of the most beloved of days. Just make it through today and the weekend is your reward. Hopefully you’ve got some gaming lined up. I’m going to be playing some D&D. I’ve got a bard named Lead, because he’s heavy metal, man! *devil horns*

Once again we’re here at a Wednesday. The first half of the week is done. The rest of it stretches before us like a 2-day behemoth.
Or maybe it’s not so bad for you. Maybe Thursday and Friday are like puppy-dogs. That’d be nice. I love puppies. But now we’re getting off-topic.

I hope everyone had a great International TableTop Day yesterday. Though, of course, the spirit of International TableTop Day is with us always, and we should celebrate as often and with as many people as we possibly can.
As for us here at TGN, it’s another Sunday. So as my arm heals from getting my werebear tattoo colored in and my roux for the gumbo I’m making starts to brown, here’s another set of bite-sized stories we collected over the last few days.
