Much like Veteran Captain Salt, Randy, Lrod of Spiders is an April Fool’s joke that’s actual a real thing you can get. This new boss for Super Dungeon Explore is the 3rd in the Masterclass Series of minis. You can get yours this month from over in the Soda Pop Minis store.
Love is in the air. People are sending sweet nothings to one-another. And, in the material world, sweet things are being sent to one-another as well. Soda Pop Miniatures is adding another sweet thing in the form of Sweetheart Candy. This limited-edition model for Super Dungeon Explore is available this month only from Soda’s webshop.
Soda Pop Miniatures loves to do crossovers. They look to their other properties, as well as other popular games and integrate them into their games. It’s cool to see characters you love from one game making their way into others. In this case, they have started taking pre-orders for the Twilight Knight from Kingdom Death, as well as Takoashi schoolgirls as characters for Super Dungeon Explore.
And we’ve made it to another weekend. I’m sure a lot of you are up at the LGS, trying out 8th Edition 40k. But between those games and talking about all the stuff you’re going to do with your army, here’s the regular grouping of reviews that I know you all love so much.
Today we have: Small World, Galactic Warlord Battle For Dominion, Dice Hospital, Shahrazad, Dark Souls, Bushido, Dungeon Crawler The Thorn Expansion, Star Trek: Ascendancy, VS 2PCG Legacy Expansion, Alchemists The King’s Golem Expansion, Super Dungeon Explore Arena, Terra Mystica App, Tomb Trader, Jaipur App, Bio-Logic, Dragon Tower, Gnomi, and Zombie Tower 3D.
So, it’s coming up to 8pm. Day 2 is definitely in the books for Gen Con 2016. It’s been a very busy day. I’m tired, but still pretty amped about everything that’s gone on. And I’m sure you all would like to know about some of it. There’s been about a billion things to see. So, relatively, here’s a rather small percentage. More will come tomorrow.
It’s day 3 here at Adepticon. It’s been a wild day… and I’m not even talking about the gaming. We woke up to some lovely weather. And then, just about 10min. ago, for about a minute, the lights all went out in the dealer’s hall/gaming area. I just missed snapping a photo of everyone gaming for a moment via cellphone flashlight.
Anyway, what I did grab photos of were… a bunch of things.
Get on there, little dogie! Hup! Hup!
Hey there, pardners, it’s time once more for a Review Roundup.
So let’s get this rodeo on the road!
Today we have: Super Dungeon Explore: Forgotten King, Mage Knight, Lil’ Cthulhu, Fleet Wharfside, Patchwork App, Techno Bowl, Rubicon’s Opel Blitz, Arena Rex, Black Hat, Captain’s Wager, T.I.M.E Stories: A Prophecy of Dragons, Quadropolis, Orphan Black, City of Spies, and Empires: Age of Discovery.
The guys back in the warehouse are apparently listening to an album of TV themes today. They’ve got it turned up as well, since it’s easy to hear here in the cubicle farm. One that’s come on was the theme from Who’s The Boss. Can’t really say that I watched that show much. But it did get me thinking about bosses. I don’t know if that was the catalyst for the fellows over at Soda Pop Miniatures to create some Bosses of Legend for Super Dungeon Explore, but either way, they’ve been added to the Kickstarter campaign.
It’s time to embrace your inner chibi by possibly embracing some outer chibis. Soda Pop Miniatures has launched their Kickstarter campaign for Super Dungeon Explore: Legends. Though the Legends part is just one of the things they’re looking to fund with this Kickstarter campaign. There’s a bit going on, so let’s delve a little deeper.
Soda Pop Miniatures is gearing up for their next Kickstarter campaign which will be Super Dungeon Explore 2nd Edition. Along with the new base game, they’re also coming out with Super Dungeon Legends, which is a new way to play the game. Already, characters gain new equipment as they make their way through the dungeon on their way to beat the boss. Now, the RPG elements are brought even further with new powers and between-game upgrades.
Soda Pop Miniatures and Ninja Division have announced a new upcoming Super Dungeon Explore Kickstarter campaign. Super Dungeon Explore: 2nd Edition will bring all the rules from the Forgotten King expansion and put them into a single box set. But more than just a rules update (that includes all the E&C from the past year’s play), there will also be resculpts of the classic heroes as well as monsters. There’s also new tiles to play on. But there’s also a new expansion and box set that will be part of the campaign.
Hello there, beautiful TGN readers. And welcome once more to Saturday. Hopefully you’re getting some gaming in, or are going to be getting some gaming in at some point today. It seems only right.
Let us know what you’ve been getting up to with this great hobby of ours.

We’ve made it to another Wednesday. And at the time of this posting, it’s halfway through the workday. It’s like the Wednesday of hours on the Wednesday of days. If only it were the 15th of the month, too. Then it’d be the Wednesday of the month on the Wednesday of the week on the Wednesday of the hour.
… or maybe I’m just taking things too far now.
Anyway, we’ve got another bunch of bite-sized stories we’ve collected.

Also sounds like a great day to make some gumbo, but that’s for later.
In the meantime, here’s some of the shorter stories we found for you these past couple days that we wanted you to know about.

Soda Pop Miniatures lets us know how things are coming along with Super Dungeon Explore’s new expansion in an update on their Kickstarter page. And things are coming along rather well. They’ve got a green up of Glimmerwing, their new dragon miniature they’re working on. Proving that faeries can be badass, too, Glimmerwing’s speed and hitting power means she’s a force to be reckoned with, able to basically surgically strike at the heroes.
And if that weren’t enough, they’ve also got the Tabbybrook Mage, a new hero previewed as well.
But let’s face it, dragons are much cooler than mages.

Soda Pop Miniatures has been working on their Arcade rules for Super Dungeon Explore. They’ve posted an update letting us know how things are coming along.
From the update:
We gave you a rundown of Arcade some months ago, but some things have changed since then due to continued testing. Lets take a look at some key Arcade Rules along with their layout.
Soda Pop Miniatures keeps us up-to-date with their Forgotten King Super Dungeon Explore expansion progress.
From the campaign:
We received a gift of 6″ of snow and still snowing here at Soda Pop Central. Perfect day for staying inside and playing a little Super Dungeon Explore with a hot beverage.
Soda Pop Miniatures is showing off a bunch of new Trolls they’ve been working on for the Forgotten King expansion for Super Dungeon Explore.
From the update:
We’ve had a couple novella updates so this week is going to be short and sweet. Well, actually its going to be tough and a little stinky. Yes, that’s right it’s—TROLL TIME!
It has been a little while since we did an arcade gang preview so lets start with a quick refresher.
Gangs are not static groups. Instead at the beginning of each command an elite model checks to see if there are any models from its gang within 2 squares of it.
Soda Pop Miniatures checks in once again to let us know how things are coming along with their Forgotten King progress since their Kickstarter.
From the post:
We now know with 100% certainty that we will miss December for the core box. Boo…
So what has changed in the last two weeks since we said we were hoping we could get the core box done by December.
In a word—dice.
Soda Pop Miniatures is showing off more preview cards for the upcoming Forgotten King expansion for Super Dungeon Explore.
In deference to the season, it’s all about Zombies.
From the update:
The Grabby House is a paired spawning point, and is much like other spawning points. There are two things to draw your attention to though.
First, it has 4 hearts. All paired spawning points now have 4 hearts. This gives them a little more staying power, since they both take wounds when spawning.
Second, Grabby Hands grants every monster with sapphire affinity (blue) within 2 squares the Grabby ability. What is Grabby? Well it is the signature zombie ability, which makes it so that no enemy model can move while it is adjacent to a model with Grabby. That’s right! Once a zombie grabs you, the Hero needs to chop it to bits before they can get away. Dirty!
Soda Pop Miniatures has launched the Pledge Manager for their Forgotten King expansion for Super Dungeon Explore.
From the announcement:
The Pledge Manager is running through the Soda Pop Store and will be open until August 8th. While it is open, you may make as many orders for Kickstarter Items as you wish. Our system will automatically combine your orders when we are ready to ship.
Thank you to everyone who is supporting Super Dungeon Explore!
Soda Pop Miniatures has started taking orders for their new Privy’s End PvP map for Super Dungeon Explore.
From the website:
Deep within the dark and dank dungeons of Crystalia Heroes hone their skills in fierce combat against one another. Privy’s End is as renowned for its stench as the legendary battles that have been held there. Some even surmise that the battles are all the more deadly as combatants seek to finish their match quickly to find fresh air.
This high-quality rubber arena mat is perfect for playing your games of PVP Arena or as a four tile dungeon for your games of Super Dungeon Explore.
24″ x 24″ Play Area

The arena playmat is a durable surface that due to its sturdy build is quite heavy. It is shipped rolled separately from other items in your order.
Soda Pop Miniatures has posted an update for Super Dungeon Explore, saying how things are going since their Kickstarter.
From the update:
Hello! Hello! We have a ton of fun stuff to go through today.
First thing on the agenda is we are making a couple changes to the Boxed Game and the Blacksmith Items. Don’t panic they’re improvements!
The Royal Warden is becoming a part of the main boxed game. You were already getting him for free with the Always Super pledge so the ultimate impact is that this is an upgrade for the final retail release.
The Bag O’ Slimes is getting rolled into the Dungeons of Crystalia Tile Pack. The price of this new single item will be $25, which is a $10 savings over getting them both individually.
The Bag O’ Bones is getting rolled into the all new Von Drakk: Ghost House Tile Pack! This highly requested tile pack will feature 6 double-sided tiles featuring unique art and layouts themed to Von Drakk Manor and the Glauerdoom Moor region. This new single item will also be $25.
Soda Pop Miniatures has less than 2 days left in their Kickstarter campaign for Forgotten King, their expansion for Super Dungeon Explore.
They’ve unlocked Ninja Cola for the game. How many more stretch goals can they pass through before the time runs out?
From the update:
Wherein even the great and terrible $900,000 was no match for the combined might of Crystalia’s noble Heroes. For their numbers ever increased, and they cried out, “Give us the mighty warrior which you have so wrongly imprisoned. Give us Ninja Cola, so that we might always drink the tasty soda, even as we lurk in the shadows and crush evil.”
Stricken by fear at this new, united threat the Dark Consul did retreat. The walls of the dungeon were cast into ruin, and the cute adorable Ninja Cola was free!
Soda Pop Miniatures broke through one stretch goal on their Super Dungeon Explore: Forgotten King Kickstarter and so they’ve posted up two more.
From the update:
Now we begin the home stretch and take a look at our final two stretch goals. We end, in many ways as we began, with our beloved mascots Candy and Cola. We also look forward to a bright future self publishing with our sister company Ninja Division. Bring forth the Ninjas!
Soda Pop Miniatures has unlocked their Super Dungeon Explore coloring book over in their Forgotten King Kickstarter campaign.
From the update:
Time to get creative! Embrace your inner awesome with the art and adventures of Crystalia, or test out a really cool color scheme before you paint your models.
Soda Pop Miniatures unlocked the Pumpkin Patch expansion in their Forgotten King Kickstarter campaign. They’re also showing off how the Explore Cards work in the game.
From the update:
Monsters are only part of the danger within the Dungeons of Crystalia. Explore cards represent many of the hazards, pitfalls, benefits, or even outright insane moments that can occur as the Heroes explore the dungeon.
Each time a Hero enters a new dungeon tile, that no other member of the adventuring party has entered, they draw one Explore Card from the top of the Explore Deck.
All Explore Cards have two components: discovery and creeps.
Soda Pop Miniatures has a big update posted for their Super Dungeon Explore Kickstarter campaign. They’re showing off a new set of stretch goals and have an update about their EU shipping options.
From the campaign:
One reanimated spawning point golem, possessed by dark fae energy, and delicious on food when defeated unlocked! Every pledge of Always Super! will receive the elemental mini-boss, Salt absolutely free!
We will be shipping from within the UK, so UK and EU backers will not have to pay customs fees from the US.
This will also reduce your shipping charges. We are still finalizing product weight and dimensions. Once we have that we will be able to provide more detailed cost estimates on the shipping charge.
We are continuing to explore options for shipping from within Canada, Hong Kong, and Australia.
Soda Pop Miniatures has unlocked some more treasure chests in their Super Dungeon Explore: Forgotten King Kickstarter campaign.
From the campaign:
We’ve reached $450k and it’s time for more LOOT!
