Saturday! Glorious Saturday!
As you read this, I'm at a library that a friend works at. They're having their first Board Game Day and so I'm playing some board games. Actually, there's a very high likelihood that I'm playing Guild Ball, which isn't really a board game, but it's still alright.
Anyway, while I'm doing that, I've also got some review articles for you.
Today I have: Stolen Treasures, Escape from the Aliens in Outer Space: Ultimate Edition, Statecraft, Shinobi, Terminator Genisys Heavy Weapon Endoskeletons, Ice Cool, The CopyCat, Stak Bots Red, 51st State, Tyrants of the Underdark, StoryLine: Fairy Tales, Dr. Eureka, and Istanbul: Mocha & Baksheesh.
Storyline: Fairy Tales
You don't have to be Garrison Keillor in order to tell a good story (Yeah, raise your hand if you got that reference). It's hard to create a story from scratch. So having some sort of aid can really help. Having a group of friends around can be that sort of help, but then you have to worry about things going off-track. Well, the folks at Asmodee have released StoryLine, their storytelling card game that'll help with both aspects.
Getting together with friends to tell stories is usually a good time had by all. You can get as silly with it as you want. Collective storytelling is certainly a part of human culture going all the way back. Well, Asmodee is here to help facilitate that and bring it back to your living room with Fairy Tales, the first in their Storyline series of games.
