The convention season is packed with great shows. Just about every weekend, you can find someone getting together somewhere. Making sure to plan early and pick up tickets for shows is important. That’s why you should go and grab yours for SHUX 2018, put on by Shut Up & Sit Down.
And we’ve made it to another weekend. I’m sure a lot of you are up at the LGS, trying out 8th Edition 40k. But between those games and talking about all the stuff you’re going to do with your army, here’s the regular grouping of reviews that I know you all love so much.
Today we have: Small World, Galactic Warlord Battle For Dominion, Dice Hospital, Shahrazad, Dark Souls, Bushido, Dungeon Crawler The Thorn Expansion, Star Trek: Ascendancy, VS 2PCG Legacy Expansion, Alchemists The King’s Golem Expansion, Super Dungeon Explore Arena, Terra Mystica App, Tomb Trader, Jaipur App, Bio-Logic, Dragon Tower, Gnomi, and Zombie Tower 3D.
It’s another Saturday.
Through an odd turn of events, I’m in the office. So Monday and Tuesday I was home because I was sick. Now it’s Saturday and I’m in the office because my internet is broken at home (overnight storm fried my modem). But all is well. Things are getting done.
Anyway, as for the roundup, we have: Hoard, ManaSurge, Africana, Vikings Gone Wild, Empires At Sea, Adorable to Horrible, Secret Hitler, Rhino Hero, Descent: Road to Legend, Isle of Skye, Tanks, Escape From the Aliens in Outerspace, Masmorra: Dungeons of Arcadia, and New Earth.
What a glorious day. What cannot be achieved on such a day as Saturday?
Well, I know I can be working on various articles for the site. Hopefully you’re getting in some gaming, like I am, too.
At the moment, though, we’ve got ourselves the Review Roundup.
In today’s feature we have: Vikings Gone Wild, Blood Rage: Mystics of Midgard Expansion, Codinca, Blood Rage: Gods of Asgard Expansion, Imperial Settlers: Atlanteans Expansion, King’s Forge: Queen’s Jubilee Expansion, Talon, 13 Days, 51st State, The Grizzled: At Your Orders, One Night Ultimate Vampire, Area 1851, Tesla vs. Edison: Powering Up, No Thank You Evil, Valeria Card Kingdoms, Legends of the American Frontier, Jail Break, Adventure Land, Anachrony, Android: Mainframe, Shogunate, T.I.M.E Stories: Under the Mask, Aya, Porta Nigra, The Gallerist, Doctor Panic, and Knit Wit.
It’s Saturday. Those of you that are at KingdomCon, be sure to selfie responsibly. #RossFace
For me, it’s the weekend before CMON Expo, so I’m super-busy getting things put together for the show. Lots to do, both work-related and just other things I need to get done.
In the meantime, though, I’m taking a break from baking German Chocolate Cake Cookies to bring you your regularly-scheduled Review Roundup.
Today we have: Blood Rage, Gempacked Cards, Star Realms, Polyversal, Scathach Games M.T.S Shipping Containers, Tash-Kalar Everfrost Expansion, VS 2PCG Defenders Expansion, Twilight Struggle Digital, Onimata, Warfighter, Stronghold 2nd Ed., Adventure Land, Thunder & Lightning, Celestia, Greedy Greedy Goblins, Splendor iOS, Feed the Shoggoth, Kingdom Death: Monster, and Res Publica 2230AD.
Monday’s gone. That first hurdle to the work week is in the past. Time to get over it not being the weekend anymore and, instead, set our sights towards next weekend. We’ve got another 3.5 work days to get through, and we could use something to help make that time go by quicker. I know time tends to speed up when I’m talking about gaming. Thankfully, I get an opportunity to do that just about every day. I know others aren’t so lucky. But even if they’re not talking about gaming, you can listen to people talk about gaming in the various podcasts. Here’s what we’ve collected over the past week.
We have: The Hub Systems Episode 19 – Salute 2016, Shut Up & Sit Down Podcast #40: Reiner Knizia’s Relationship Simulator, Primecast Episode 31, Through Gamer Goggles Role-Play Ramblings 5: Is Cheating Acceptable, Docking Bay 94 podcast Episode 30: Polyversal, Game Classy 112: Better than Deathclock, and News of the North – 2016-04-26.
In case you hadn’t noticed… It’s Saturday! Woo!
Considering time differences and all, I hope a lot of you had a good time at Salute today.
Did any of you pick up some awesome stuff while there?
I, obviously, couldn’t go (much as I wanted to). I did, however, pick up my limited-edition Flint figure for Guild Ball in their online store.
But that’ll get here when it gets here. As for now, it’s time for some reviews.
Today we have: Above and Below, Odin’s Ravens, Glass Road App, High Command Rapid Engagement, Aradia Miniatures’ Toad King, Android: Netrunner Card Game, Through the Ages: A New Story of Civilization, Expedition RPG, Kodama, VS 2PCG: The Defenders, And Then We Held Hands, Timeline Challenge, and Tumult Royale.
It’s another Saturday and that means another Review Roundup.
Hopefully you’re having a good one. I’m working on putting together some Guild Ball minis.
Anyway, let’s get right into the reviews.
Today we have: Parade, Incan Gold, X-Wing’s Eighth Wave of Expansions, Booze Barons, Kakerlaken Poker Royal, Tsuro digital app, Pingo Pingo, Raptor, Hue, Battlecruisers, Celesta, Colt Express: Horses and Stagecoach Expansion, Super11, Quadropolis, Ominoes, Curse of Strahd, and Imperial Settlers: Why Can’t We Be Friends Expansion.
Just because I’m here at Adepticon doesn’t mean I’m not going to give you the Review Roundup that I know you all so desperately desire. We’ve got a bunch to get through, so let’s get to it.
This time around we have articles on: Food Fighters, Sol: Last Days of a Star, Monarch, Zombie Tower 3D, Sector Prime, Cosmic Run, Good Cop Bad Cop Undercover, Stockpile, Aether Captains, Let Them Eat Shrimp, Rolling America, Poison Bottles, Expedition, Raid and Trade, Dead Men Tell No Tales, Mexica, Fantasy Football, The Ravens of Thri Sahashri, King’s Forge, and Steam Time.
Well, it’s the last day in the office for me this week. Tomorrow at 5am I’ll be getting ready to head to Adepticon. I’m pretty excited about the show. If you’ll be at the show, what are you looking forward to the most?
For the long car ride, we’ll need plenty of stuff to listen to. Good thing there’s gaming podcasts. If you have travels this week, you’ll probably want to listen to these as well.
Today in our roundup we have: Epic Gaming Night Podcast Ep 48 Nazca Games with Emerson Matsuuchi, Shut Up & Sit Down Podcast #39: Dancin’, Brawlin’ and Burglin’, Game Classy 110: Auctions, Conventions, and Mailbag!, In The Game Room – Episode 8, Adeptus Infernus 032, and News of the North – 2016-03-29.
Get on there, little dogie! Hup! Hup!
Hey there, pardners, it’s time once more for a Review Roundup.
So let’s get this rodeo on the road!
Today we have: Super Dungeon Explore: Forgotten King, Mage Knight, Lil’ Cthulhu, Fleet Wharfside, Patchwork App, Techno Bowl, Rubicon’s Opel Blitz, Arena Rex, Black Hat, Captain’s Wager, T.I.M.E Stories: A Prophecy of Dragons, Quadropolis, Orphan Black, City of Spies, and Empires: Age of Discovery.
I hope you’re enjoying your Saturday. I’m working on articles for the site. There’s 3 review articles in the works as you read this. Not 100% certain on order they’ll be posted yet (that sort of stuff changes all the time, if you can believe it), or exact dates, but expect them soon. But while those you’re going to have to wait a little bit longer, the wait is over for a bunch of other reviews, as it’s time for our Review Roundup.
This time around we have: Kromlech General Otto and Orc Freak, Boss Monster 2, Tash-Kalar Nethervoid Expansion, Tumult Royale, Project Dreamscape, Dwarves Inc, The Best Treehouse Ever, Firefly: Kalidasa Expansion, CV, Star Wars: Rebellion, and Patchwork.
And here we are in Saturday.
I hope your day is full of gaming. I’ve got some hobby projects I’m working on, as well as taking photos of some stuff I’m gonna be looking to sell in order to fund/get room for some new stuff. There’s only so much room around here before I can get some more. What can I say? There’s just too much cool stuff coming out. What kind of stuff? Well, the stuff we’ve got reviews of here for you.
Today we have: Imperial Settlers, 504, Poseidon’s Kingdom, Operation F.A.U.S.T., Over/Under, SpaceTeam, Titus Tentacle, and Lands of Ruin’s Miniatures.
The work week continues along. The hectic “get back into the swing of things” of Monday is done. We’re into the “groove” of things that will hopefully see us through to the end. Something that’ll help is listening to some gaming podcasts to help chew up some of those hours at the office.
Today we have: Ice Cream For Everyone Ep 13: Interview With Tim Burrell-Saward Lead designer at Sensible Object, Meeples & Miniatures – Episode 165: Byron Collins / Polyversal Interview and Wargamimg Industry Round Table, Blue Peg Pink Peg Episode 67- Kingdom Death: Monster and Women Representations in Games, The Long View: Battlelore, Epic Gaming Night Podcast Ep. 43 Science, Shut Up & Sit Down Podcast #38: 504 Ways to Eat Paper, Geeks of the North Episode 24 – IP ideas for new wargames, Adeptus Infernus 030, and News of the North – 2016-02-23.
Saturday. Ah, the joy of it. Just drink it in.
I’m taking a break from putting together some Guild Ball models in order to get you your weekly Review Roundup (you can expect the Guild Ball review in the near future from me). So let’s get you right to it.
This week we have: Plastic Soldier Company’s Panzer IV, Slaughterball, Feldmaster Magnetic Army Carry Case, Runebound Third Edition, Zombie Tower 3D, WWE Superstar Showdown, Kemet: Ta-Seti, Arboretum, Fool’s Gold, and Strife: Shadows and Steam.

And we’ve successfully made it to Saturday. After the… incredible craziness that was this past week, I’m extremely thankful for just a low-key, simple Saturday. Once I’m done here I’ve got a Colossal to put together for a friend. Then I’m gonna just watch some movies. What movies? … I’ve not really decided yet. Perhaps Snatch, The Blues Brothers, something Monty Python, … obviously I haven’t really decided yet, but it’ll be good to just chill.
Before that, though, I need to get you some review articles. So let’s do that.
Today we have: Savage Forged Miniatures’ Stalker Zed, Crooked Dice Danger 5 7TV starter set, Legends of Andor, Escape Room in a Box, Food Chain Magnate, Blood Rage, Warhammer Quest: The Adventure Card Game, A.D.A.P.T., Pittsburgh 68, Fuse, Karuba, Kemet, Star Wars Timeline, Terra Mystica, Elysium, and Splendor.

Saturday night’s alright for fightin’! (as long as it’s fighting battles out on the tabletop. Don’t actually go out and get into fights, people)
When this posts, I’ll be hanging out with Shaughn, our warehouse manager/resident tattoo artist, getting myself my 2nd tattoo. Should be good times.

I hope you made it through Black Friday alright. I had Thanksgiving 2: Thank Harder here at the bear den. Made myself another turkey and side-dishes and enjoyed a relaxing day. Then I got out my stock pot and made about a gallon of turkey stock with the bones. I’ll be good for turkey soup for the next year, I’d say.
But that’s as may be, it’s time for some reviews. Let’s get into it.
Today we have articles on: Magic the Gathering Arena of the Planeswalkers, Dirty Tactics Toolbox for Pathfinder, Battle Foam P.A.C.K Molle Accessories, Mafia de Cuba, Porta Nigra, Risk: Star Wars 2015 Edition, Flip City, Xia: Legends of the Drift System, and Doomtown Reloaded.
Well, yesterday was quite an exciting day around here. It certainly seemed to go by quickly enough. It was one of those, “Oh hey, it’s already noon!” and then seemingly 10min later, “Oh hey, it’s already 3pm!” and then 10sec later, “Oh hey, it’s already 4pm!” Today seems to be moving along at a pretty decent clip as well. It’s already time for today’s Podcast Roundup.
So here we go. Today we have: Epic Gaming Night Podcast Ep 27 Holiday Gaming & Gifting, Epic Gaming Night Podcast Ep 28 Stronghold Games Publishing With Stephen Buonocore (yeah, they came out with two just a couple days apart from one-another), Shut Up & Sit Down Podcast #35: Rebellion in an Airport, Blue Peg Pink Peg Episode 61- Pandemic Legacy and Jeremy Hot Seat (Spoiler Free), Tales of Malifaux 17, and Geeks of the North Episode 21 – Hobby Catch Up and Chaosludik 2015.
Welcome once again to Saturday. It’s been quite a morning over here. Rather busy for a Saturday. Biggest thing I’ve been working on is my decision to magnetize my Betrayal at Calth set (yes, this means it’s not 100% assembled yet. The games I’ve been playing of it have been using stand-in figs for much of it. It happens). The only problem comes from maneuvering small, fiddly pieces that, very literally, will move on their own. As such, I have glue all over my fingers. Thankfully, though, on at least one occasion, that’s helped me when my drill bit slipped and instead of giving me a scrape, it just gouged the glue that’d built up there. So, an asset hidden in a liability.
But that’s a story for when I post the review later today. At the moment, we’ve got other reviews/previews to deal with.
In this batch we have: Late French Napoleonic Infantry from Perry Miniatures and Warlord Games, Dark Moon, Clockwork Kingdom, Queen of the Hill, Dice Masters: The Amazing Spider-Man, Conquest at Kismet, Barony, Star Wars Armada Wave 2 Ships, Tides of Time, Pentoggle, Mars Attacks Miniatures Game, Risk: Star Wars Edition, Space Cadets: Away Missions, Bomb Squad, Escape the Nightmare, and T.I.M.E Stories.
Well, as I sit here, assembling The Horus Heresy set, working on articles related to it for next week and beyond, I think about other games and other review articles.
Oh hey, here’s a whole bunch of them in one, convenient spot for you. It’s today’s Review Roundup.
In this installment we have articles on: Age of Tyrants, Mansions of Madness, More Cash ‘n More Guns,DC Dice Masters: War of Light, The King is Dead, Fury of Dracula, Roll for the Galaxy: Ambition, Two Rooms and a Boom, Aura, T.I.M.E. Stories, WWE Superstar Showdown, and Pathfinder Adventure Card Game – Wrath of the Righteous.
Happy Halloween, everyone!
Whether you’re going out to a party or staying in, celebrate the holiday with some spooky-themed gaming. At least, that’d be my suggestion.
But how do you know what will and won’t be a good game? You read a review, of course! And we’ve got a whole new batch for you here today.
They include: Blood Rage, The King is Dead, D&D Miniatures White Dracolich Miniature,Battle Foam P.A.C.K 432 Molle Army Bag, Apocalypse Chaos, Conflict of Heroes – Awakening the Bear Second Edition, Brother Vinni Minis, The Grizzled, Pandemic Legacy, Bright Future, Nautilus Industry, Warband Board Game, Stealing Mona Lisa, The Batman Miniatures Game, Isle of Trains, and Sneaky Cards.
The cold and rain of Monday has made way for… more cold and rain on Tuesday.
This is a good thing, of course, if you enjoy cold and rain.
I, personally, do enjoy cold and rain. So it’s no big deal for me. I know that is different than most of my fellow Atlantans. But that’s just how things go.
Being Tuesday, that of course means it’s time once more for a Podcast Roundup.
Today we have: Shut Up & Sit Down Podcast #34: The Great Antarctic Experiment, Plaid Hat Games Podcast Episode 189: Ethics in Gaming, Epic Game Night Podcast Ep. 24: Horror Games, and Game Classy Episode 99: Super Dungeon Classy Zompocalypse.
As we tend to do after Friday, we are now deposited here on Saturday. That means all day getting the chance to do some gaming. It also means we have our Review Roundup.
So without further ado…
This week we have stories on: Rory’s Story Cubes: Batman, King’s Pouch, Space Movers 2201, Warehouse 51, Neon City Rumble, Viceroy, Machina Arcana, 7 Wonders: Duel, Age of Tyrants Junkers and Viridians, The Minecraft Card Game, Battle Foam P.A.C.K 720 Molle Army Bag, Thunder Alley, Halo: Fleet Battles, and Starfighter.

My Monday went by really quickly. I’m hoping yours did, too. Mondays don’t tend to be the best, but if they at least end fast, it’s like ripping off a band-aid fast.
Thankfully, Tuesdays don’t have such a stigma about them. They also have our Podcast Roundup.
Today’s group includes: Epic Gaming Night Podcast Ep 19 Reviews & Media with Mark Streed, Shut Up & Sit Down Podcast #33: Paints, Knocks and Christian Petersen, and Tales of Malifaux 13.
