Shinobi 7 Announces My Hero Academia: The Card Game

I gotta admit, 80% of my anime knowledge is limited to Trigun and Cowboy Bebop (though I’ve also seen One Punch Man). However, I do still recognize the name My Hero Academia, and I’m sure that several of my big anime-watching friends will be excited to know that Shinobi 7 is going to be making a My Hero Academia card game. Some of you are probably pretty excited about that, too.

Shinobi7 is doing something interesting with their late pledges for the Sonic the Hedgehog: Battle Racers campaign that they ran on Kickstarter. They’ve launched an Indiegogo campaign for the same game, but open to anyone that Kickstarter might not cover, and giving people a chance to pledge for it.

Tokyo Ghoul: The Card Game Now Available

So, you know, I don’t want to say that it’s a good idea running around and eating people. I just want to put that out there right from the start. However, if you’re maybe thinking of going out and doing just that, I might suggest that you, instead, play some Tokyo Ghoul: The Card Game. Based on the popular anime and manga series, the game is a new deck-building game from Shinobi 7. You can get your flesh-eating groove on now.

Ninja Division Previews My Little Pony: The Bestiary of Equestria

There are many amazing creatures in the lands of Equestria. Hydras, dragons, cave eels, and much, much more. Soon, you’ll be able to bring all of those characters to your Tails of Equestria games, as River Horse and Ninja Division will be releasing the My Little Pony: Bestiary of Equestria book. It will not only give you the rules to have them as NPCs, but you will be able to make your own PC characters based on some of the creatures, too.

Small Statues of Ponies? Who’d’ve Thought? A Review of Curse of the Statuettes Adventure

I’m an unabashed fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. I put it in the same league as something like Animaniacs and Tiny Toons, where, sure, I may not be the real target audience, but I feel it’s a quality cartoon product that has enough references to keep me interested (they dress up as the characters from Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas at one point, for example). So yes, I do also enjoy the Tails of Equestria RPG book and, as soon as I could, ordered my copy of The Curse of the Statuettes, the first full-length adventure for the game. It got here the other day, and I figured, for my 25,000th post (more on that later), I’d give it a (spoiler-free) review. So let’s get into it.

So let’s head out into the badlands and take a look at The Curse of the Statuettes.

TGN Review: Tails of Equestria RPG

Many of my friends have young kids who are just getting to the age where they’ve started to show an interest in gaming. They see mom and dad playing their tabletop games and want to join in. Several of those kids are also huge fans of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Heck, my niece is obsessed with the show. There’s also plenty of older people out there who enjoy the show (heck, I admit that I’ve watched the whole series), and many of them are gamers. So, it seemed only natural for there to be a My Little Pony RPG. That comes in the form of Tails of Equestria.

The kind folks over at River Horse sent me a copy of the book (they’re true friends, for sure).

Grab your saddlebags and watch out for timberwolves, it’s time for another TGN Review. This time, it’s Tails of Equestria.

Tails of Equestria RPG Coming To North America Next Year

There’s a big mash-up of companies working together in order to bring you a new, family-friendly RPG next year. River Horse (makers of Terminator Genisys, among others) has made a deal with Shinobi 7 (co-owned by Ninja Division and Seven Seas Publishing) to release the Tails of Equestria RPG (based on Hasbro’s My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic) to North American audiences in March of next year. *whew* I did say there was a lot going on there.
