The week’s half over. We’ve made it this far, we can make it the rest of the way. But as we keep on keepin’ on, we’ll need to have enough energy to finish the journey. For that, I suggest noshing on some bite-sized gaming stories.
Today on the platter we have: Broken Egg Games Previews Age of Sigmar Tokens, Elder Dice: Unspeakable Tomes Coming to Kickstarter, Brigade Models Releases New Hammer’s Slammers Vehicles, New Dice Bags and Trays Available From +3 to Charisma, Shieldwolf Taking Pre-orders for their Sci-Fi & Fantasy Paladin Armies, NonsenseMiniatures Releases New Fantasy Figures, and New Sci-Fi Mini Available From Brother Vinni.
The week continues along. We’ve made it halfway through! The weekend will be here before we know it. At least, I think it will, since it seems this week is going by pretty quickly. Seems I keep looking down at my clock and going, “man, it’s (time) already?” Yesterday seemed to go by in a flash. So 3 more flashes and we’ll be to Saturday, right? Well, if we’re going to be time-hopping like that, we should stock up on some bite-sized gaming stories.
Today we have: Roll Versus Coal Dice Sets Available, Dark Art Studios Announces Fierce – Warriors & Monsters Kickstarter, Just A Few Days Left in the Pathfinder: Modern Adventures Kickstarter, New Morbid Doors Available From Kromlech, Brigade Models Release Neo-Soviet Armoured Infantry Carrier in 6mm, Redgrass Games Running Everlasting Wet Palette Kickstarter, Shieldwolf Miniatures Running Warmaidens & Dragonbreds Kickstarter, New Dark Stain Option For Ultimate Gaming Table, and Immortal Figures: Gods of Olympus Tabletop Gaming Miniatures Up On Kickstarter.
The work week continues along. We’re halfway home (“home” in this case being the weekend, of course). If we’ve made it this far, there’s a good chance we’ll make it the rest of the way. But just to make sure, we should bulk up on some bite-size gaming stories.
Today on the platter we have: Fantasy Flight Games Announces Runewars Essentials Pack, Moxy Roxy Bringing A Squirrel’s Life To Kickstarter Later This Month, New releases from Terrible Kids Stuff – April 2017, Hitech Miniatures Posts New Releases, A.E.G.I.S. Combining Robot Strategy Game Returns to Kickstarter April 18th, Acheson Creations LLC is pleased to announce a UK/Europe distribution partnership with Company D Miniatures, Carthage Deck-building Game Coming to Kickstarter in May, Kentucky Sawdust Releases King’s Court Dice Tray, The Painting Frog writes up about GW’s pricing in Brazil, and Shieldmaiden plastics now available for pre-orders.
Well, it’s been a bit of a short week here in the office, having only come in Wed-Fri. Though, with having just a little time off from Gen Con, it felt much longer. I’m looking forward to a weekend of doing probably not all that much at all. Just some time to decompress a bit. Should be nice. Lets me put together some of the figures I got at the show. To do that, I’ll need energy. Energy in the form of bite-sized gaming stories.
On today’s platter we have: Forest Goblins multi-part plastics is Shieldwolf Miniatures Coming To Kickstarter, Xtraidos Crowdfunding Campaign Launched, TinMan’s 35% Off Back In Business Sale Ends Soon, Oddzial Osmy’s 3mm August Releases Arrive at PicoArmor, Victoria Miniatures Female Greatcoat Legs and BFG Ammo Crates Now Available, and New Undead Orcs From Scotia Grendel.
Woo! Friday! Woo!
*runs around with arms over my head*
The Gateway to the Weekend is once more upon us. In just a couple hours, we’ll be enjoying a couple days off to do whatever we want (hopefully that involved gaming). We’d best make sure we’ve got enough strength. That can be gained by noshing on some bite-sized gaming stories.
Today we have: Viking Raid and Shaleground Flat Bases Now Available From Tabletop-Art, More busts released by Shieldwolf Miniatures, Raging Heroes introduces the Davidians sculpts, Happy Seppuku Texture Presale Happening Now, New Sci-Fi/Modern Minis From Rebel Minis, Barbaric Splendor Kickstarter One – Personalities is now live, RN Estudio Unlocking Stretch Goals In Revenants vs Ancestrals Indiegogo Campaign, and ThunderChild Miniatures Remasters and Releases Gnarly Pilgrims Minis.
It’s almost here, everyone! The weekend will be here before you know it! Along with the gaming, I’m certainly ready for pizza for dinner tonight. The Ramen I’ve been having is getting a bit old on the palate. But in the meantime, I can nosh on some bite-sized gaming stories.
Today we have: Syrinscape and Green Ronin Partner For Mutants and Masterminds Soundscapes, 28mm 1939-41 Soviets Kickstarter is live, Mechanical Dice Towers up on Kickstarter, Knuckle Sammich Reaches Funding Goal on Kickstarter, First Busts from project “Monument of Glory-2” now available From Shieldwolf Miniatures, Tanto Cuore International launching June 7th, New Customization Add-On for Polyversal Kickstarter, and Kromlech Weekend Pigment Promo.
Well, anyone that knows me at all could probably figure I’d be interested in a story like this. While “bear cavalry” has been a part of gaming for quite some time, you rarely actually see them in games. And I’m sad to say that many of the bear figures I’ve seen don’t live up to what I was really hoping for. Well, Shieldwolf Miniatures is looking to fix both of those by adding Ice Bears to their Shieldmaidens Kickstarter campaign.
Kickstarter has been around for many years now. Many great projects have been funded. Some, it happens on their first try. But don’t count out campaigns that fail to reach their goal the first time out. I remember “back in the day” that if a campaign didn’t fund, some people thought, “well, that’s it. It’s over.” Such is not the case every time! Plenty of campaigns rally, regroup, and come back stronger than ever. Such can be said about Shieldwolf Miniatures. Their original Shieldmaiden Kickstarter wasn’t going quite as they had hoped, so they reconfigured and have relaunched. And they’ve already passed their funding goal.
Winter is coming.
Wait, crap. Winter’s already here.
War is over, if you want it.
Wait, no, that was last month.
War is Coming. There we go. That’s the name of the new mass-combat fantasy miniatures game by Shieldwolf Miniatures, who have their Shieldmaidens vs Orcs Kickstarter campaign for the game running now.
Taking a break from the RPG Kickstarters for a minute.
Is the week going by quickly for anyone else? On my ride in to work today, I looked down at my dashboard and saw my odometer and, for a moment, went, “why is that so high? It’s only Tues… oh… wait… it’s Wednesday. Ok, that makes sense.”
But seeing as it is Wednesday and all, we should have ourselves a Midweek Snippets.

Shieldwolf Miniatures has some new previews up for their upcoming Kickstarter campaign. This time it’s Ladies from the North.
It must be summertime, even up North, considering the outfit the one in the artwork is in. Even in someplace like Chicago (where I used to live), it can get really hot. A lot of people don’t really realize that.

Shieldwolf Miniatures is giving us a bit more information about their upcoming Kickstarter they’ll be launching early next year. They’re bringing a new army to the ranks with the Talliareum Ogres.
From the announcement:
“…No one remembers how long ago these huge brutes decided to live among the Humans in the Kingdom of Talliareum. The Ogres do not go unnoticed, standing more than 8 feet tall and weighing some 400 pounds each! It comes as no surprise that they took advantage in the past of their natural strength and physical structure to beat people up, steal, abuse; there was a time they practically did as they pleased. But as the Kingdom of Talliareum slowly formed, the Ogres soon found out they couldn’t deal with the better organised Humans. Highly outnumbered, they consistently got arrested, beaten, imprisoned and even executed. Some Ogres left for far away lands, but many stayed, choosing to obey the Law. Well, in a certain sense at least…”
