Midweek Snippets

The first half of the week is over. That means it’s more than halfway to the weekend. I’m still jazzed about the new D&D game that’s starting up. I’ve got my backstory. I’ve got my character sheets. I’ve even got a pair of playlists for my character (well, he is a bard, after all). I hope you’ve got some cool gaming stuff lined up for this weekend as well. And no game is complete without snacks, so let’s snack on some bite-sized gaming stories.

Today on the platter we have: Everlasting Wet Palette Available to Order From RedgrassGames, Skirmisher Publishing Releases Orc Raiders: Tokens & Avatars for Virtual Tabletops, and Shadows in the Void Terran Miniatures Arrive at PicoArmor.

Assault Publishing Releases Shadows in the Void: First Encounters

In this day and age, with so many games out there, it’s impossible to buy and keep up with them all. Even just buying rulebooks for games you want to try can get to be prohibitively expensive. That’s where free trial versions of rules come in. I love when companies do this. And that’s why I’m singing the praises of Assault Publishing. They’ve posted up a free trial version of their Shadows in the Void rules set titled First Encounters. You can download your copy now and “try before you buy.”

Terrans Now Available For Shadows in the Void

I’d love to see humanity spread out to the stars. I mean, this planet is pretty awesome and all. I’m not gonna try and deny that. But, c’mon! There’s a whole universe out there to explore! So I wish we could be like the Terrans in Shadows in the Void. They’ve got their huge spaceships and are out there. At least you can have tiny versions of them on your gaming table.

Assault Publishing Releases Shadows in the Void Space Combat Game Rules

In space, no one can hear you scream. … But as far as I’m concerned, lasers still go “pew, pew, pew” and ships explode in fireballs. That’s just how I like it. If you’re a fan of space combat between squadrons of fighters, you might want to check out Shadows in the Void. It’s the new sci-fi minis game rulebook released by Assault Publishing.

Midweek Snippets

The week continues along. We’ll get back to that ever-loving weekend soon. Just another couple of days and it’ll be time once more. And I’m sure a lot of people in the US are going to be celebrating this weekend. With the 4th of July being a Tuesday this year, I’m guessing a lot of people are going to take this weekend to grill, shoot off some fireworks, and just celebrate America. I know I’m getting together with some friends on Saturday for just that sort of thing. I’m sure there’ll be tasty snacks there. Let’s snack on some tasty bite-sized gaming stories now, too.

Today on the platter we have: Wargamer Running Hot & Dangerous Kickstarter, Oddzial Osmy’s 3mm June Releases Arrive at PicoArmor, Rebel Minis Releases Gorilla Animech, Esh-Aven Previewed for Shadows in the Void, Through Gamer Goggles Posts Origins 2017 Coverage, New Skull Objective Markers Available From Kromlech, and PKCGames Running Dice of Rolling Kickstarter.

Assault Publishing New Project Sale

The folks over at Assault Publishing have always been rather busy, coming out with new minis pretty much all the time. Well, they’ve decided to be even busier and come out with a new space combat game called Shadows in the Void (I guess you could say that the story is as much announcing that’s a thing as well). Well, the folks there are looking to generate some extra funds to make the game a reality as well as need to clear out some warehouse space in order to store it. That’s where you, the consumer, come in.
