Well hello there, middle of the week. Nice to see you. I tell you what, I’m really ready for the weekend. I’m still trying to catch up from Expo on my sleep. But that’s what you get when you’re up late gaming for several nights in a row, followed by full days hanging out with some really awesome people. So, as I try and keep my eyes open, I need to snack on some bite-sized gaming stories.
Today on the platter we have: Imperial Palace bases Available from Dark Art Miniatures, New Flagstone bases now Available From Tabletop-Art, and 20mm Vehicle Armor Plates Available From Ramshackle Games.
Minis games can be intimidating for a new player, either new to the system or new to minis games entirely. Well, Ramshackle Games is looking to fix that and make entry into their new game, Minis Gangs, as easy as possible. The game comes in three tiers of difficulty and complexity. It goes all the way from a quick and easy-to-digest game all the way to a fully fleshed-out campaign system. You can get the different versions, as well as some gangs to fight with, over on Ramshackle’s website now.
Ramshackle Games is looking to bring a new set of rules to your tabletops. It’s called Mini Gangs and, as one would expect, it puts you in charge of your own post-apocalyptic gang. It’s designed to be quick to play, without lots of charts and rules, in three different rules tiers, depending on how in-depth you want to get. If you want just a fast pick-up game: there’s rules for you. If you want full campaign rules: there’s a set for you. The game is up now on Kickstarter.
Hey everyone. I hope you’re enjoying your Monday. For those of you with the day off, I hope you’re having a great time. I’m still posting, obviously, though from home. That’s after yesterday spending most of it playing games and eating some great food with friends. We got in some Lanterns, some Addictive Alchemy, some Raise Your Goblets, and some Ethnos. There were also burgers, Swedish meatballs, pie, and orange curd. But what we’ve got today is terrain.
Today in the Terrain Corner we have: Brigade Models – Final Salute Releases On Website, New Dark Age releases from Warsenal, Ramshackle New Shop with New Products Up and Running, and Oldhammer Resin scenery by Apocalypse Miniatures Coming to Kickstarter.
Friday is once again upon us. Gateway to the weekend. So many possibilities. I’m as busy as a one-armed paper hanger. Making all sorts of things in prep for tomorrow’s MST3K binge party. I hate to go to a gathering empty-handed, so I’m making brownies, cookies, and prepping stuff so I can make nachos and Swedish meatballs while there. Like I said, hate to be empty-handed. But while I’m making those bite-sized treats, let’s nosh on some bite-sized gaming stories.
Today on the platter we have: Two New Tank Turrets Available From Ramshackle Games, Tor Gaming Announces Their Affiliate Program, Circle of Blood from Last Bullet Games Coming To Kickstarter, Path of Light and Shadow Coming To Kickstarter, Final Days for Wreck Age Kickstarter, and Fluff Preview Posted For The Drowned Earth.
It’s the penultimate day of the year. 2016 is on its way out. Lots of people are going to be partying about it. I’m sure some of that will include gaming. At least, I hope it does for you. Anyway, if you’re going to be partying to midnight tomorrow, you’ll want to stock up on some bite-size gaming stories.
Today on the platter we have: Kromlech Releases The Red Duchess, Ramshackle Games Previews Space Knight Jet Bike Rider, and
The week rolls along. Hopefully it’s going well for you. Mine’s been very busy. But that’s meant things are going by quickly. Quickly is good and bad in some cases, as there’s a lot to still get done by the end of the year. With Christmas this week and then New Year’s the week after, there’s lots of end-of-the-year items to work through in the next week and a half. If we’re gonna make it through, we need to keep our energy up. That means chowing down on bite-sized gaming stories.
Today on the platter we have: Apocalyptic Upgrades: Viral Outbreak Up On Kickstarter, The Cardmogrifier Up On Kickstarter, Ainsty Castings December Sale, Purgatory enters the Pledge Manager, Ramshackle Games Previews Orc Rider For Jet Bike Kickstarter, Tercio Creativo Holiday Sale Happening Now, Paper U-Wing transport released, and Brother Vinni Releases Ingrid female Viking trumpter.
Today’s a day to celebrate. Why? It’s my 5th anniversary with TGN. Yes, on this day, 5 years ago, I made my first post on the site. It was the new plastic Warp Wolf kit that Privateer Press was coming out with. Oh how gaming has changed since then. I remember having a conversation, a couple months into my tenure, with Ross “The Legend” Thompson (my boss at the time) about, “These Kickstarter-things.”
So, to celebrate, let’s have a bunch of bite-sized gaming stories.
What? We do that every Wednesday? Well, fine, be that way.
Today we have: Dice Coins 2 Up On Kickstarter, I Will Never Grow Up becomes exclusive distributor of Field Marshal Games products, Ramshackle Games Posts Stretch Goal Goblin For Jet Bike Kickstarter, New Discworld Death Bust -15% discount, Factions Fantasy Playing Cards Coming To Kickstarter in January, New Releases Available From Scotia Grendel, Casual Game Revolution Posts 2017 Tabletop Gaming Conventions Map, Mage Company To Launch Sleeves and Gaming Accessories Kickstarter, Kill the Unicorns Coming to Kickstarter in June, New Morbid Legionary Torsos From Kromlech, Temple of Isis Round Lip Bases Now Available From Tabletop-Art, New Releases And Final Christmas Sale From Advanced Deployment, Flatminis 2D preprinted miniatures are now available as PDF download, Two new Characters bring gold to Talisman: Digital Edition, and Khurasan releases 15mm Hezbollah and Syrian Government Forces.
Is this week just rocketing by for anyone else, or just me?
I mean, it’s already Wednesday.
Well, seeing as it is Wednesday, let’s get ourselves stocked up on some bite-sized gaming stories.
Today we have: Public Alpha For Cold Start Posted, How to Paint Board Game Miniatures: The Beginners Guide to Painting Board Game Miniatures Now Available, Terrible Kids Stuff – Christmas 2016 releases, Battle for the Universe Coming to Kickstarter in January, Jet Bike Construction Kit Up On Kickstarter, Oddzial Osmy’s 3mm November Releases Arrive at PicoArmor, Khurasan releases two 15mm fantasy sets by Tom Meier, Final Week for The Roots of Magic On Kickstarter, Dystopian World Expansion Passes Funding Goal, Ouroboros Tales Posts New Stretch Goals, New Viking Shield Sets Available from Tabletop-Art, Brother Vinni Holiday Sale Happening Now, 15mm 1st Carlist Wars & Spanish American War (1898) back in production, and New Junk City Bases Available From Kromlech.
I technically have the day off today. Why? Because CMON went public on the Hong Kong stock exchange and they’re giving us the day off to celebrate. But the news doesn’t stop just because the office is closed. Neither rain, nor sleet, nor snow, nor slush, shal keep me from giving you your news (ok, so maybe eating lots of food last week would keep me from doing it, but still…). Gonna be a bit shorter day today, but I still want to get you your bite-sized gaming stories. So let’s get to it.
On the platter today, we have: Ramshackle Games Releases the Boom Wagon, Gods & Goddesses 5th edition supplement coming to Kickstarter in February, Kromlech New Release: Vehicle Hull Points Markers, Raging Heroes Sale Extended Through This Weekend, Aether Captains: Action Cards Update, Liam Games distributes MAGE Company in Israel, and Czacha Games to publish Polish Raid and Trade in 2017.
Happy Thanksgiving Eve!
Or, for those of you not in the US. Happy Wednesday!
As for me, I’m going to be busy when I get home. I need to bake another pumpkin pie, put turkey 1 into the brine bucket, speed-thaw turkey 2 (place in cold, running water for a couple hours), and make whipped cream for the pies (cream, sugar, and spices). Gonna be very busy, but should be fun. But to have enough energy for that, I need to nosh on some bite-sized gaming stories.
Today we have: New Infinity Dice Sets From Corvus Belli, New Bases Available From Micro Art Studio, BattleScribe 2.0 Released, Dungeonland PnP is now available and Kickstarter Stretch Goals are revealed, New Alien Heads From Ramshackle Games, Okumarts Games team up with GG Studios, New Releases Available From Dark Sword Miniatures, Divine Art Playing Cards up On Kickstarter, Comrades in Battle Stretch Goal Levels Lowered, Head set Multi Pack From Ramshackle Games, NPC For Hire Game Aid On Kickstarter, New Temple of Isis Bases From Tabletop-Art, Fusion Bases by Wamp Up On Kickstarter, Highway System Coming to Kickstarter, New Female Greatcoat Troops Available From Victoria Miniatures, and New Hordes Token Sets Available From Advanced Deployment.
We’re reaching the peak. After this, it’s a slide back down to the weekend. I’m hoping to have some friends over for gaming and cooking, as well as basically a “mini-Halloween” party (my apartment’s not really that big. Hard to have more than 4-5 people over 😛 ). There will be Cryx Necrotite Sugar Cookies, Atomic Peanut Butter Balls, and a bubbling cauldron of gumbo.
But that’s as may be. Right now, we’ve got a bunch of bite-size gaming stories to give you.
On the platter today we have: Zucati Dice: Retro Classic Pure Aluminum Dice On Kickstarter, Totentanz Miniatures to Make Corvus Belli’s 15mm Historical Miniatures Range, Purgatory Shows off 2 freshly completed models for the Kickstarter, New Swan Faction Tokens from Advanced Deployment Now Available, Ramshackle Abomination and Robot Sale, Armorcast LLC announces the Fifth Cinematic Effects Modeling Contest, Last Days To Enter Tercio Creativo’s Wipley Drawing, New Releases Available From Micro Art Studio, Ouroboros Miniatures’ First Release Now Available, 5-Minute Dungeon Coming to Kickstarter Next Week, and Era: The Consortium – A Universe of Expansions Kickstarter in the last week.
Monday and Tuesday are in the rear view mirror. Meanwhile, we work our way towards the weekend. We’re halfway there, people. We can make it. But if we’re gonna do it, we should stock up on some bite-sized gaming stories. Thankfully, that’s just the sort of thing we have for you right now.
In this installment there is: Q-Workshop to Release Battletech Dice, ToSS: Trials of Sword and Staff Coming To Kickstarter May 14th, Dreamwars Hits Kickstarter Next Week, Oddzial Osmy’s 3mm April Releases Arrive at PicoArmor, Awful Fantasy: The Card Game coming to Kickstarter May 3, The Painting Frog announces new “Rumble in the Jungle” 40K event, VIII Corps: The Somme 1916 Coming April 29th, Khurasan releases 6mm space demons, New 30mm and 40mm Trench Warfare Bases Available From Tabletop-Art, Final stages of JoeK Minis’ Odyssey:Argonauts Kickstarter, KritterKins on Kickstarter April 25th, Mutant Chronicles GM Screen and Dark Legion & Dark Symmetry dice Now Available, British 8th Army WWII 28mm Miniatures Now Available From Crucible Crush, 28mm Halfling Militia Rooster Rider Miniatures on Kickstarter Now, and New models for Ramshackle Miniatures Dwarf Bikers.
So, as I was in a car for just slightly more than 1/2 of yesterday, I didn’t get much of a chance to post up the Midweek Snippets post. As such, I’m rolling it in with today’s Terrain Corner, as I have a bit of time right now to do so (and to give you a “peek behind the curtain,” I’m actually typing this late at night here on Wednesday).
Anyway, in this Terrain Corner/Snippets post we have: Gaddis Gaming Launches 28mm WWII Miniatures Kickstarter, Turn One Gaming Supplies Releases 8-Bit Dice, Donnybrook skirmish game rulebook now available, Post Apocalyptic Dwarf Bikers Up On Kickstarter, Round-Lip Space Dungeon Bases Available From Tabletop-Art, Heroic Maps – Giant Maps: The Great Labyrinth Now Available, MidKnight Heroes Super Chibi Finial sculpts are in and late pledge extended, Crossover Miniatures Releases Frederick Class Airship, Meka Desert: Pwork Wargames science fiction gaming mat, Gamelyn responds to backers with only 3 days left, and Battle Valor Games 15mm Fantasy New Releases.
Well… that was a bit of an adventure.
For those interested in keeping track, Monday I noticed my car had a coolant leak. Tuesday I took it into the shop. They originally said, “it’ll just be a couple hours.” Then they said, “it’ll be overnight (they needed a part).” So, seeing as I was clear on the other side of town, I crashed at a friend’s place (as a 50mi walk home didn’t sound fun), picked up my car this morning, and am now back into the office. Hooray!
You know what I could use? A snack. Or at least some snack-sized gaming stories.
Hey! Look what we’ve got here!
In today’s Snippets we have: Collins Epic Wargames introduces Milestone Rewards for Polyversal, Cast Metal Gaming Dice on Kickstarter, FatMan Productions Posts New Previews For Awakening Recon, Frostgrave Fan Base Launched, Blacksmith Miniatures release: the apothecary, Photos from Nuremberg Spielwarenmesse 2016, Malifaux translated to Italian, The Circle of Chaos Kickstarter Going On Now, Shipping Update from Nexus Miniatures, Titan-Forge releases new Void Cannon, Last Couple of Days for Era: The Consortium Kickstarter, and Coming on 13th Feb – Era: Lyres Pocket Edition – a £1 Tabletop RPG.
Time ever-marches onward! Well… as far as we know, anyway. I guess time could stop for a while and if we were stopped along with it, we’d never really know it’d happened. Unless you were some sort of 4th dimensional being like in Slaughterhouse Five or something, we’d never realize it.
Ok, well, this took a really quick turn to the metaphysical. Not really intended, but there we are, then. Let’s just move on to today’s heaping helping of bite-sized stories before I begin to discuss other laws of physics of which I have a tenuous knowledge grasp on, at best.
In this installment we have: Metal King Studio Posts Thief Episode 1- Concept Art, Model Dads’ Ost-Front 15mm Decals Out Now, Heroines in Sensible Shoes female dungeoneer minis Kickstarter, Khurasan releases Vespulid Queen, MidKnight Heroes Super Chibi Miniature Line Kickstarter now Live, Kickstarter First Look: Granny Grating Armies, Kromlech new release – Morbid Beast Araneaeman, Khurasan releases 28mm scale “Los Viejos”, Lands of Ruin Kickstarter launch is set to 19th of February, and Circle of Chaos: Oldhammer metal miniatures for your warband On Kickstarter.

Friday! Woo! *tosses papers in the air*
*remembers that there’s still a good half of the day left*
*scrambles to try and put all those thrown papers back in order*
*has his boss lean in and say, “Polar Bear! Do you have those TPS reports all set and ready for the presentation? It’s time!”*
“Uh, yes, boss! Just a second!”
Ok, that little creative writing exercise aside, let’s get on with the bite-size stories from the past couple days.

Wednesday. The previous weekend is two days behind us. The next weekend is two days ahead of us. We are perched atop a precipice. Which isn’t to say “it’s all downhill from here,” but I guess you could consider it as such.
At the very least, I hope the first half of the week went smoothly and that the rest of the week follows suit.
In the meantime, we’ve got our collection of bite-sized stories we want to present to you now.

Hey there again, everyone. Welcome to Sunday. A quick note: It is Mother’s Day. Just sayin’. If possible, I’d suggest giving your mom a call. It probably couldn’t hurt. I’m gonna give mine a call here after I finish typing this up.
But that’s as may be. At the moment, we’ve got our usual spot of gathering some of the bite-sized stories together and presenting them to you here.
In this installment we have: New Robot added to Ramshackle Robots Kickstarter, Brigade Models 15mm SF New Releases, The Painting Frog visits Warhammer World, Close Encounters: Icarus Miniatures Preview the Praesidian Warrior, and a batch of The Fiver interviews from The Meeple Mechanic.
Ramshackle Games is running a Kickstarter campaign for their Ramshackle Robots. These multi-piece resin kits are highly modular. Don’t quite like the look of the “standard” construction? Prefer the arm from one guy and the head from another? That’s just fine. Build them however you want. The campaign is already more than 10x funded with still 27 days left to go.
From the campaign: Continue reading
Friday. One of the most beloved of days. Just make it through today and the weekend is your reward. Hopefully you’ve got some gaming lined up. I’m going to be playing some D&D. I’ve got a bard named Lead, because he’s heavy metal, man! *devil horns*
Anyway, as is our custom, we’ve collected some bite-sized stories and offer them to you now.
In this batch, we’ve got: Final Days for Guild Ball Mats on Indiegogo, MidKnight Heroes Previews Kickstarter Stretch Goals, Maelstrom’s Edge Coming to Kickstarter Soon, Ramshackle Games Releases New 20mm bikes, New SciFi container crane from Terrakami Games, New Spray Varnish from The Army Painter, Some more editions of The Fiver from The Meeple Mechanic, Sally 4th Releases Pulp Figures British Range, New 32mm Bases from Tabletop-Art, Manorhouse Workshop Modular Underground Terrain Update #23, New Memethings templates from Advanced Deployment, and Greebo Previews Upcoming Oriental Dwarf team.
Ramshackle Games ran a successful Kickstarter for their Minimus Squat’s Bounty Hunter Crew, and now it’s available for general release. This is quite a large kit, coming with the tank and two trailers, plus a bunch of crew miniatures, as well as captives. Only want part of the kit? That’s fine, because they’re all available separately as well.
From the release: Continue reading
Ramshackle Games is running a Kickstarter campaign for their new Minimus Squat’s Bounty Hunter Crew unit and transport vehicle. They’re more than 3x funded already, but it’s a pretty short Kickstarter (no pun intended). Better jump in while you can.
From the campaign:
Ramshackle Games is offering Minimus Squat’s bounty hunter crew and their vehicle, the Tower of Justice. The models are all cast in polyester resin as per usual and are supplied unpainted and unassembled.
Ramshackle Games has released two new tanks over in their webshop.
From the release:
After the successful Kickstarter, Ramshackle Games has just added the Battle Dog and Püg to the web store. The Battle Dog is a main battle tank, whereas the Püg is a mobile gun variant on the same chassis. Both kits come supplied with a selection of different armaments. The kits are supplied with sponsons as standard, but customers may select spaced armour instead.
The resin kits are sized to fit with 28mm figures. The Battle Dog is priced at £27 and the Püg is £24. All Ramshackle Games products include free worldwide postage, so the prices quoted are the prices for delivery to your door! As usual, all the parts can be bought separately from the shop.
Ramshackle Games is under a week left in their Kickstarter campaign for their new tanks. They’ve made it well above their goal and have posted up a bunch of WIP photos of the models they’re working on for the campaign.
From the campaign:
As the Ramshackle Games Battle Dog kickstarter broke both the stretch goals, I have been working on getting the new bits made. The project funded fully on the first day, so the project will go ahead as planned. There are only a few days left, so please have a look at the project!
Ramshackle Games has launched a Kickstarter campaign in order to fund the Battle Dog and Pug tanks. They’re already over their goal, so pledge on for stretch goals.
From the campaign:
Resin battle tanks in 28mm scale.
Ramshackle Games is offering a selection from two new battle tanks. The first is the Battle Dog, a finely detailed resin model.
The second model available is the Püg, which a self propelled artillery, based on the same chassis as the Battle Dog. It is basically the same kit but without the turret.
Ramshackle Games has closed down… but not permanently. They’re moving shop and so have to close down the shop during the process. Don’t worry.
They’ll be back.
From the update:
The Store is closed
Thank you for visiting Ramshackle Games.
The web store is currently closed as the business is moving premises. If you want to contact us please use the contacts page on the main website.
The web shop is scheduled to reopen early March, as long as there are no major problems. Sorry for any inconvenience this causes.
Ramshackle Games will be closing down for a bit as they move locations.
From the announcement:
Ramshackle Games is closing Down…but not forever! I’m moving the workshop so the web store will be closed for about 6 weeks. This will be from the 24th of January, so if you want any Ramshackle Games models then please place your order before then.
Ramshackle Games has some new Iron Brothers heavy weapon teams with carriage guns, missile teams and mortar crews.
From the release:
I have posted up some weapon sets, specials and heavies. They can be had as teams or as units of teams. They come with separate heads, same as the soldiers. Unpainted images can be seen in the shop entries.
Set of 3 teams for £10 or £4 per team and are resin as usual.
Ramshackle Games has a new Iron Brothers unit, available in two unit sizes, and some new head swaps for them, available over in their webshop.
From the release:
Following on from last weeks release of the Rhebok transport vehicles, I have just released two sets of Iron Brothers soldiers. They are resin figures, which measure about 28 or 29 mm to the top of their heads. One set is 10 models for £10, the other is 20 figures for £16. Yes, thats right, 20 resin figures for £16, making them 80p each! Great for making large assault groups with.
The heads are also available separately too, at £4 for 10.
Ramshackle Games has released their new Rhebok Armored Vehicle in 3 different varieties over in their webshop.
From the release:
After a great fun and highly successful Kickstarter campaign, I have just released some new models. Three Rhebok variants have gone up in the Ramshackle Games web store. These were all funded through the Iron Brothers Kickstarter campaign.
The vehicles are a tracked or wheeled transport variant, plus a flame assault version. The models are cast in resin. As usual the parts can be obtained separately from the Tridlins section of the web store.
Ramshackle Games has a new huge Goblin Berserker mini available over in their webshop.
From the release:
Having just finished the Kickstarter, I have actually had time to develop a new product! The newest release is the Huge Goblin Berzerker. I say huge, in that he is 27mm tall, so large for a Goblin. Cast in resin, the model can be had for £3.50. I also offer a “pick your own” set of 5 or 10 models, so that customers can get sets of Ramshackle Games resin figures for a cheaper price. The Berzerker can of course be included in one of these sets.
Gamers on Games has posted episode 79 of their vidcast up online for your watching pleasure.
In this episode:
Joshua Tumbry reviews the Half UTE vehicle miniature by Ramshackle Games
Play Unplugged posted up another of their AKC Championship-winning reviews. This one’s for the Orc Archers from Ramshackle Games.
From the review:
Orcs are one of the most iconic antagonists in the realm of fantasy. They are downright pervasive in our collective gaming, and you can find examples of them in almost any fantasy game in which you would push toy soldiers around a battlefield.
With so many options, miniature gamers are spoiled for choice, when it comes to selecting orcs for your all conquering horde. There are miniatures like those in Games Workshop’s fantasy line, that suit a more modern aesthetic; while traditionalists likely love Otherworld Miniatures’s old school sensibilities. The point is, there are a lot of orcs out there, if you bother to look.
