For those looking to add some more super-powered figures to your collection, Pulp Monsters has the newest Pulp City releases available now over in their webshop. Whether it's some cyber-Russians, robot sentries, or hulking brutes, they've got something for you.

November's almost over, but there's still some time to get the month's releases posted so you, the eagerly-awaiting public, can get a hold of them. Such is the case with the folks over at Pulp Monsters, as the latest batch of Pulp City Releases are now available.

The folks over at Pulp City have a pair of new releases over in their webshop. It's been a little bit since they've had those, but they see these two as the first of what will be a regular schedule of new figures.
Discuss
There a couple new releases available for Pulp City in the Pulp Monsters webshop. One's a high-flying cryptozoic creature (not actually from Cryptozoic, mind you). The other is a set of video game bits come to life.

With all the tensions with Russia the US has been experiencing lately, it's almost like the 80s are coming back again. Not that we're going to end up in another Cold War (hopefully... that would suck), but that's not stopping the Supremes over in Pulp City. For them, the Cold War is back on... and also on over on Kickstarter.
Discuss
Pulp Monsters, makers of Pulp City loves their fans. They love you so much, they want you to be able to get their superhero and supervillain figures for cheaper than you'd usually have to spend. So they're having a "Thanks to Our Fans" sale over in their webshop.

From the campaign:

Howdy Citizens,

Big news: Book jumps into the printing presses on Monday (that is if it gets the approval). The printers are more or less local, so no worries about shipping containers from China (seems to be the key words for a lot of KS we've backed ourselves!).

Now pictures!
I realized we haven't shown you the last 3 minis, so here they are as resin masters.

Pulp City continues their regular, weekly updates of their post-Kickstarter progress. This time, it's hover-gatling-cats.

From the post:

Howdy Citizens,

this week is a reminder that flying cats with miniguns are a real threat!

Other than that, everything is going ok, as predicted getting all models painted in time for cards photoshoot might be an issue. As we don't want to delay the project, some cards may get monochrome pictures of the sculpts - I think it works better than having to delay the printing.

Stay pulp,
Maciej & The Team

Pulp City gives us another Thursday update. This time they're showing off some of the Grimm models they've been working on.

From the update:

Howdy Citizens,

after a busy week of (mostly) production research, we've made some major progress in a couple of areas. We have an online folder marked as Final Cards and as new pictures of painted miniatures showed up, the folder filled up nicely. Here's a couple of findings from the grimm section.

From this update:

Howdy Citiziens,

The pledge manager turn-in date is past us but we are still missing quite a few. If you got any doubts how to do it or why are you receiving reminder emails, please re-read update 82 and then if it is still not clear, please contact us at kickstarter (at) pulpmonsters.com!

Remember that we keep Karol in the basement until we get all pledges sorted out.

Early next week, last of the sculpts should go for resin master casting and we will be ready for the mass production. We are all good with the miniatures. I also received the word from Q-Workshop that the dice are being packed this weekend. We almost know the final pagecount for the book, so in June we'll get final quotes for printing and reserve a production line spot. Hopefully not many companies print books in the summer!

You want pictures? OK, I am in a very voodoo modes, so here you are (Mambo we'll have some slight production adjustments):

Pulp City gives us another update about how things are going post-Kickstarter in their latest update.

From the update:

Good Day, Citizens,

we are 3 days away from the FINAL pledge manager day. Most are in, thank you, some people still savor the pleasure of adding more PC stuff! What happens if you miss it? We may have a hard time delivering your order on time and Karol will have to spend more nights in our basement warehouse with limited food rations. Do you really want it? :)

Next week we finalize the production numbers and make a final call on the medium to use for some of the Powerhouses. I keep holding my thumbs for resin and I say this after almost finishing resin Amok for my collection. Yay! These things are so huge, it makes much more sense but may slow down production a bit. Producing circa 20 000 minis - there is a lot to take into account.

Pulp City is showing off some more progress post-Kickstarter on their sculpts.

From the update:

Hello Citizens,

today we got two big (or small) items for you to update:

First, below you will find the link to the most Supremes and Minions for the SE. These are still not final, we are playtesting them like crazy, especially the batches unlocked through Kickstarter. There will be some changes (for instance, all big Powerhouse OVR moves will cost 2 Fatigue now). Test them out, play with them and let us know what you think!

Second, all Grimminions save for the KS exclusive one are done and we post them with Gentleman and a standard size grimm.

Pulp City lets us know how things are going post-Kickstarter with a look at some of the greens they're working on.

From the post:

Good Morning Citizens,

glad to report we are not slowing down.

Sculpting: we are still aiming at having 99% of the stuff sculpted in May, that will give us enough time to cast and paint everything.

Here's a couple of new pieces, including a phenomenal rendition of Ross' Antaean (he is a big boy at 45 mm!).

Also, some love for Minions and Heavy Metal. M.O.D. is still a wip.

Pulp City is coming down to the end of their Kickstarter campaign. They've come a long way, but there's still some more stretch goals to topple.

From the campaign:

We're closing in on the end of the of the Kickstarter. But not all is Forgotten. So as a little reminder here is what is on the horizon. Ancient gods, demons, and other lost beings united under the wicked Stygian. The evil beings from other realms seek to reclaim a place in our mortal realm.

Pulp City has teamed up with the fellows over at Sluggy Freelance (I remember reading that comic back in the '00s) as part of their Supreme Edition Kickstarter campaign.

Source

From the update:

When Pete Abrams contacted us about a cross promotion I admit I geeked out a bit. As a Sluggy fan from way back I knew Pete would just "get" Pulp City. So we discussed how to make things work and this was what we came up with. So if we can end the Kickstarter above $100,000 we will give all our Supreme Level or higher backers a free Grimmbun-bun.

The Grimm are highly susceptible to pop culture influences. When they find something the really love they tend to take on characteristics of that thing. Thus the strange and varied nature of the Grimms. When Grimmbun-bun discovered the web comic Sluggy Freelance he was doomed to wear a bunny suit. We aren't sure what he will become but we could be looking at Pulp City's first Level 1 Powerhouse!

Pulp City has a special giveaway going on over on their Kickstarter campaign to show you all how much they love their backers.

Source

From the announcement:

Yes, because we love you!
The deal is simple- if you are a backer already at Supreme and above, just keep it up or up it.

If you aren't, place a Supreme (or above pledge) until this Monday 11.59 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST) and keep it or up it to get your Guerilla.

How sweet is that?

Essentially, once the KS is over, we will check all Supreme and above pledges - if they were placed before the given date, one extra primate in your box!

If you miss the deadline, don't worry, Guerilla will be in the post-KS spreadsheet at the regular retail value of 15 USD.

Happy Valentines and make sure you spread our love!

Pulp City is wasting no time on getting their Kickstarter campaign goodies worked on. They're showing off the WIP sculpt for their Cro Mag mini that's part of the project.

Pulp City keeps tearing through stretch goals over on Kickstarter. Their latest has been the White Tiger. I'm sure there'll be more soon.

Source

From the campaign:

Enter the White Tiger. Warrior, teacher, defender of the weak White Tiger appears in Pulp City to take the fight to the Green Emperor. Rallying those with a founding in the deeper martial arts into a loose organization know as the Way of the Fist and Blade. White Tiger is a Level 3 Hero and Leader. Along with White Tiger herself we will also be creating an all new Faction Card to use when you assemble the Way of Fist and Blade.

What dark figure is this that appears on our horizon? A chill just ran down my spine...

Miniwojna sat down and had a chat with Maciej Zylewicz about Pulp City that's currently breaking through stretch goals on Kickstarter, and figured you'd like to know what they had to say.

From the interview:

An interview with Maciej ?ylewicz, author of the popular "comic" skirmish game "Pulp City". Pulp City has been showing off artwork for their upcoming Kickstarter. But when, exactly, is "upcoming" gonna turn into "now." Well, now we know thanks to their update.

Source

From the update:

We at Pulp Monsters have been working hard to launch the Kickstarter that we feel is deserving of your support as fans. At this time we have chosen to delay the launch due to a couple of very important factors.

We've decided to run KS from the US and support fans from both sides of the pond with local, duty-free shipping. That means we've became dependent on the US tax regulations. Quite frankly, if the KS ended this year, the lump sum of tax would have to be paid without the actual production costs taken into the account. Additionally as some of you have pointed out the holidays are fast approaching and it’s a hard time of year to ask you to help us fund a product that won’t be on your doorsteps for several months to come.

With all of that said we do have very positive news. The Pulp City Kickstarter now has an official launch date of Thursday January 30th 2014. Our core pledge at $90 will include both of our new Starter Sets and a printed copy of the new rule book as well as a Kickstarter exclusive mini.

If we beat our funding goal we will have a number of stretch goals offering a mix of free minis and specially priced add-ons. We also have additional enhancements to the book and presentation of rules. Shipping charges will be simple with flat fees world-wide. You’ll see more at the end of January, but we thought you’d like to have a good idea what we’ll be asking, and what you’ll get in return.

Pulp City gives us more than just a concept art piece in this update. We've got a Jade Oni green to look at.
And yes, I do find it humorous that the "green" for the "Jade Oni" is made out of grey putty.

Source

From the preview:

What do I have for you today to cure those Monday Blues? How about something green? How about we look to the east and set our eyes upon a creature of myth and legend and monster that owes fealty to the Green Emperor. This magic fueled beast of rage and blood is known as the Jade Oni. A brawler of unmatched damage potential.

Pulp City is showing off the artwork for another Support Supreme for their game with a look at M.O.D.

Source

From the preview:

o a break from the Grimm we've been previewing to look at new Heavy Metal. Meet M.O.D. the helpful Support Supreme. This little guy was originally designed as a war machine. But through accident or fate was spared destruction and reprogrammed to be helpful. Strangely enough it was Lady Cyburn who seemed taken with guy and the two spend a lot of time together. The relationship seems good for both of them.

Any ideas what M.O.D. could stand for? Tell us what you've got!
