Pathfinder Card Game

It's Saturday, the day that's full of possibilities (Ok, so every day is full of possibilities, but it just feels moreso on Saturday to me). With any luck, your day is full of gaming.

But at the moment, I know you're all interested in what sort of reviews we've got for you. Well, I won't make you wait any longer (Saturday won't go on forever, after all).

Today we have: Dice of Crowns, Pathfinder Adventure Card Game: Mummy’s Mask, The Undercity: Black River Irregulars Expansion, Legendary: Deadpool Expansion, Firefly: Crime and Punishment Expansion, Harry Potter Hogwarts Battle, Tokaido App, Gloomhaven, Potion Explosion App, Planetarium, V-Commandos, Maximum Apocalypse, Jump Drive, The Colonists, and Stinker.

October's the time for the undead to rise from their graves and mess with the living. At least, that's the case with the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game, as that's when the Mummy's Mask expansion will be coming out (Brendan Fraser sold separately).
Well, WizKids just has a corner market on fantasy miniatures, don't they? Ask anyone what the two biggest fantasy RPGs are out there and you'll more-than-likely get Pathfinder and Dungeons & Dragons as the answers. Well, WizKids has a new set of Pathfinder miniatures available and they've just announced a new set of Dungeons & Dragons figures.
It can be rough finding just the right figure to use for your RPG character. One might not have the right armor type. Another might be armed wrong. Another might just have the wrong color cloak. Well, WizKids is helping out with their Pathfinder Battles: Iconic Heroes Set 5, which is available now, and which comes with special cards for the Pathfinder card game.
Well, as I sit here, assembling The Horus Heresy set, working on articles related to it for next week and beyond, I think about other games and other review articles.

Oh hey, here's a whole bunch of them in one, convenient spot for you. It's today's Review Roundup.

In this installment we have articles on: Age of Tyrants, Mansions of Madness, More Cash ‘n More Guns,DC Dice Masters: War of Light, The King is Dead, Fury of Dracula, Roll for the Galaxy: Ambition, Two Rooms and a Boom, Aura, T.I.M.E. Stories, WWE Superstar Showdown, and Pathfinder Adventure Card Game - Wrath of the Righteous.

I'm going to take a moment to gush about one of my favorite gaming artists (no, not Heath "BA" Foley, this time) : Wayne Reynolds. I really just love his artwork. It's a bit stylized. It's not really anime-like, but you can see some of the same angular lines. I love all the details he puts into the pieces. I really should get a tattoo based on some of his work at some point (though there's currently a waiting list on what tattoo I'll get next).
Ok, enough of that. Wizkids is coming out with a new Pathfinder Battles: Iconic Heroes set in December.
I hope your Saturday is treating you well. I know it's going well for some friends, who are getting married. Congratulations to Joe-Nathan and Elizabeth. You two are going to be absolutely awesome together and I couldn't be happier for you!
And I know they'll be happy together because they game together.

And so that brings us to the game reviews we have for you today in our Review Roundup.

Those games featured this week are: Nevermore, Hundred Days 20, Catan Junior, Samurai, Discoveries: The Journals of Lewis & Clark, Pathfinder Adventure Card Game: Wrath of the Righteous, Evolution (with Flight expansion), Specter Ops, and Sentinels of the Multiverse: Vengeance Expansion.

Wrath of the Righteous kicks off the new season of Organized Play for the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game from Paizo Publishing. In this season, players will do battle against all manner of demons and cultists as they work to close the demonic and hellish Worldwound (probably want to get some triple anti-biotic on there). The demon lord Deskari will stop at nothing to take over the world and only the PCs are there to stop him and his seemingly endless tide of minions.
Paizo and DriveThruCards have teamed up to bring you the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game Community Card Creator. Basically, you can make and print out your own cards for the Pathfinder Adventure card game based on characters and items in your own adventures. You can keep them to yourself or publish them for others to use.
They've also posted up errata decks for the game.

From the announcement:
WizKids has announced a new set of pre-painted plastic minis. These are Pathfinder Battles: Iconic Heroes Set 1. The box contains 6 miniatures (5 heroes and an animal companion) that represent famous heroes from the Pathfinder world. Minis include: Valeros, Seelah, Seoni, Sajan, Lini and her animal companion, Droogami. The box also contains 6 exclusive cards for the Pathfinder Adventure Card game. The price is $30, so $5 per mini, which isn't too bad, really.

From the website:
Skull & Shackles, a stand-alone set for the Pathfinder Card Game from Paizo Publishing, gets reviewed by the experts over at Play Board Games.

From the review:

Skull and Shackles is the latest edition of the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game. It has a pirate theme and adds ships, new classes and more scenarios.
