Palladium Books and their Robotech RPG Tactics game has been one of the long-drawn-out dramas of the gaming industry for several years now. The game was one of the first really huge successes on Kickstarter. Unfortunately, it’s become also the campaign that’s now looked upon as “the one that really went wrong.” Palladium has posted two updates to the Kickstarter campaign. The long and the short is that Palladium will not be sending out Wave 2 releases. People can substitute Wave 1 items for Wave 2 items, but will need to pay for shipping. Also, Palladium is losing the Robotech license after 30 years. Continue reading →
In my opinion, there’s never too many options that you can have for your RPG. Everything is just another way to personalize your character and really make them unique and memorable. Palladium is helping with that for those of you out there playing Dark Designs. They have a new Nightbane sourcebook out that gives both players and GMs alike options for your game. If there’s a game that lets you go just about anywhere and do just about anything, it’s Rifts from Palladium. It’s well-known that players can dimension-hop all over everywhere. With such an open ability to travel, there’s countless potential destinations. One such is the Mythical Lost City of Atlanta…. err, I mean, Atlantis. (That just raises further questions!) Palladium has a new sourcebook talking all about this race of sub-mariners. Continue reading →
Aw, Hell. Literally. Two demonic factions are looking to overthrow America (please, no political jokes 😛 ). It’s up to the Men-at-Arms to turn the tide and keep the Earth from being annexed into Hell, itself. Because if America falls, the rest of the world is likely to follow. Thankfully, there’s all sorts of new gear for them to use in the fight. And it’s just that sort of thing that’s covered in Heroes of Humanity, a new sourcebook for Rifts from Palladium Books. Pinnacle Entertainment Group has announced that they’re bringing the world of Rifts to their Savage Worlds RPG system. Rifts, the post-apocalyptic setting, combines elements from just about everything, from fantasy and sci-fi to mythology and horror. Now players of the Savage World systems can have their characters take part in the epic adventures. The core rulebook is scheduled for release around Christmas.
Hey everyone. Here’s another batch of news snippets for you. Remember, snippets aren’t “leftovers” or “scraps” or anything like that. They’re news like everything else. They’re just… smaller. There’s good stuff in here and we want you to know about it. It’s just that the story’s shorter, but no less important!
So what do we have in this round? Well, there’s a new punk green from Slow Death Games, an announcement from ThunderChild Miniatures about a new Kickstarter, a new release from Hitech Miniatures, a new adventure for Fantasy8s, new Pulp Alley templates from Sally 4th, a notice about the final days of the Rise of the Kage pre-order, some new goblin nurses from Kromlech, a Squadron Strike: Traveller Preview, an announcement about the Death Saves Anthology release, and some new accessories for Robotech from Burn In Designs.
Another extensive look at the miniatures in ROBOTECH RPG TACTICS by Eric The Battletech Engineer. This video allows you to see what you can expect from the models in the main box-set which started shipping today.
From the update (note: all mentions of “this update” refer to the update on Kickstarter. Don’t put your vote in here 😛 ) :
We humbly ask, may we please sell some Robotech® RPG Tactics™ at Gen Con Indy? It’s only a few hundred of six items: the main box game, four of the expansion packs (Tomahawk/Defender Destroids, Regult Battlepods, Artillery Battlepods, and Glaug Command) and the rule book.
Post your “Yes” or “No” in the comments on this Update by Monday, July 21st. Please try to restrict your comments on this Update to “yes” or “no” votes, so that we can count them more accurately. There are plenty of other places to discuss your opinions about this voting process, the lateness of the rewards, or anything else. Continue reading →

Both Jon and I believe a solid Robotech Miniatures game is long over due and would get a lot of notice if we can get the word out. We’ve always wanted to see Robotech on the Tabletop and we hope you have also. All we are asking is that you take a minute and show your support for getting A Robotech Tabletop Miniatures game and a line of amazing miniatures produced; Let Kevin at Palladium know that your interested in seeing this happen. So please make sure to go on their forums and on facebook and leave them a comment saying: yes I want a game and those minis!
