Outlaw Miniatures has announced that Wayland Games will now be in charge of the Wild West Exodus game line. The game has been around for several years now and while it continues to grow and evolve, the folks at Outlaw Miniatures have realized that they don’t quite have the time and staff to properly manage the game as they feel it deserves.
Well, it’s getting to be bedtime. Gotta get to sleep so I can make the epic migration back to the sauna that is Atlanta in August. I’m going to miss Gen Con. This was a good year. Despite the fact that I didn’t get really much of a chance to hang out with too many people (Gen Con, if nothing else, is hundreds of “we’ll hang out later” comments said in passing that, sadly, never get to actually happen), it was still a pretty good show. Lots of things to see. Lots of big announcements. And lots of photos. My phone says I’ve taken over 1,600 in the past several days, a good portion of which have been posted here for you. Speaking of which, here’s the last galleries from the show.
Gamers are sort of known, stereotypically, for never really going anywhere. We’re supposedly the type to stay in basements, only to come out to slink our way in the darkness to the LGS and then back again. Occasionally we go to a convention. But the reality is that gamers are just like other people. Some love to travel and see the world. Many of us are history buffs of some form or another. Well, Geek Nation Tours is here for those types of gamers with a pair of new tours they’re doing.
Woo! Friday! Woo!
Most of my friends are talking about Star Wars. I’ve not seen it yet. Perhaps sometime soon. But it is cool to see how integrated into the mainstream our “geeky” culture has become. Now we don’t have to be shy and reluctant to talk about the things we love. We can just be who we want to be, which is pretty awesome.
Anyway, before we make that grand leap to the weekend, we need to get you some bite-sized stories that we’ve found over the past couple days.
Today’s stories include: New statues from Klukva Miniatures, Pyrkol releases new Acid Templates, New Meg’s Girls – White Star squad from MaxMini, and New Previews For Wild West Exodus.
The weekend is once more almost upon us. We stand at the precipice of two whole days of not-work (well, I’ll still be making updates, but that’s alright). I’ve got a big model-building project for the weekend that recently showed up. I’m really excited for it. All The Bitz!… Which reminds me, I’m gonna need to pick up more glue…
Anyway, before we get there, we need to chew our way through some bite-sized stories.
Today’s batch includes: The Surakari Invasion $2.99 Sale, New Renders for Wild West Exodus Posted, New Antares Battle Supplies Available From Warlord Games, New Santa Dwarf from Kabuki Models, and Blackout Kickstarter makes subtle but important changes to goals.
Welcome to Friday, ladies and gentlenerds. We’ve made it here once more. Congratulations!
It means the weekend is just about here. Time to rejoice.
It also means we have a batch of bite-sized stories to bring to you now. Let’s dig in.
Today we have: Arena Rex new release: Hagal, Dead of Winter Roberta Plum Promo Available From Plaid Hat Games, New Black Plague Zombicide Paint Set From The Army Painter Coming Soon, New Dawrves from Scibor, Kromlech New Release – Gentleorc Heads, New Maneuver Dials for X-Wing From Fantasy Flight Games, Dragon Queen finally available From Kabuki Models, Little Orc Wars: Human Troopers Available From Skirmisher Publishing, New Wild West Exodus Previews Posted, Cul-De-Sac Conquest Kickstarter Campaign – Week in Review, and Relicblade: Adventure Battle Game Inbound.
Well, after the fake-out that was on yesterday (a cruel trick by Wednesday in making me feel that the day after would be Friday, when it obviously wasn’t), we have made it to the real Friday. It’s going to be a busy one for me. I’ve gotta make a cheesecake tonight for a friend’s birthday tomorrow, as well as raspberry and white chocolate syrups to go with it. Yes, it’s all homemade.
As for other things you can cut up and eat in a single bite, here’s some snippets I’ve come across in the past couple days.
This batch includes: Blacksmith Miniatures Releases Morbag The Goblin, Another World Miniatures: Painting Contest, Wild West Exodus Previews New Render, and New Wargames Vehicle range released from Waugh Games.
And we’ve made it back to Sunday. At least for me, the day to get stuff done around the apartment and prep for the oncoming week. I might get in some electronic gaming later on, though. Hey, you can’t make it out to the LGS every day (try as some might). 😉
Since it is Sunday, we’ve got some bite-sized stories for you, as usual.
In this batch is: HS Stencil System – Wave 2 – from Anarchy Models on Kickstarter, New render for Wild West Exodus, Dragonborn – Symphonic Album for Table RPGs on Kickstarter, Another World Miniatures: Magnus The Witchhunter Is Online, Tabletop Adapters releases unique 32mm Adapter, Yay Games To Release Sandcastles at Essen, Vengeance Oct Releases Posted, and The Book of Starry Wisdom: Apocrypha of Lovecraft’s Cthulhu on Kickstarter.
Friday! Woo! *tosses papers in the air*
*remembers that there’s still a good half of the day left*
*scrambles to try and put all those thrown papers back in order*
*has his boss lean in and say, “Polar Bear! Do you have those TPS reports all set and ready for the presentation? It’s time!”*
“Uh, yes, boss! Just a second!”
Ok, that little creative writing exercise aside, let’s get on with the bite-size stories from the past couple days.
In this batch we have: Free Stowage with all tanks From Warlord Games, New Morbid Egzekutor Amarath from Hitech Miniatures, Ramshackle Games Water Seller Competition, Space Duck Games Announces El Presidente Kickstarter, Kromlech New Release – Stygian Legionary Backpacks, Stonemaier Games announces Kickstarter project for Scythe board game, Cyclops-Class Assault Armor now available at ClearHorizon Miniatures, Playmore Games’Race to the North Pole begins October 2015, Rocky Mountain Gaming vacation announces Special Guest, Steve Barber Models Posts “About Us” Video, New Female Orc From Brother Vinni, and New Renders For Wild West Exodus From Outlaw Miniatures.
Hello and welcome to the middle of the film! Err… I mean, week. Welcome to the middle of the week. It’s Wednesday. It’s also the start of Autumn (or Spring). Pumpkin spice everything! That includes today’s bite-sized stories.
This batch includes: Pathfinder & Q-workshop Metal RPG Dice Set on Kickstarter, Avatars of War: Amazon Warrior Princess Released, Hardwood Dice Accessories from Three Tree Studio, ArmiesArmy 15mm Pegasus VTOL preorders, The Army Painter Announces New Warpaints Zombicide Black Plague Paint Set, Wild West Exodus previews from Outlaw Miniatures, Serious Poulp To Launch ‘7th Continent’ Board Game on Kickstarter 9/29, Arc Markers Coming Soon From Tabletop-Art, Eaten by Zombies expansion coming to Kickstarter, Vengeance Miniatures, a New Line From Dark Art Studios, and The Lowry Agency Announces Their New Quick Sell Video Series.
The Wild West. It’s hard to get more “American” than the wide-open spaces of the prairie. The time right after the Civil War when men were men and women were men, too, holds a lot of nostalgia for Americans. Much of our imagery of “what it is to be an American” comes from that time and place. So it seems only right that the guys at Outlaw Miniatures would have a big sale for the 4th of July.
Outlaw Miniatures saddled up and set out to cut ’em off at the pass with the launch of their Wild West Exodus: Unfinished Business Kickstarter campaign. The crux of this campaign is to bring new factions to the game. They’ve got 4 planned, and want to make sure each one has the requisite minis to be competitive right away. And seeing as they’re ~150% funded, and rising, with 26 days still to go, I’d say that’ll happen.
From the campaign: Continue reading
Hey there gaming buddies, it’s time again for another Sunday Snippets here on TGN.
So what’s happening? We’ve got some photos of Medrin cast in resin resin, Torn Armor gives us an update of their 3D renders with Reaper, a look at some new 10mm terrain from War Mage Games, a new release from Hitech Miniatures, some new template colors from Micro Art Studios, and more.
We’ve got a bunch more news snippets for you.
There’s some new miniatures from a new game company, Corvus Corax Miniatures. We’ve got new WWI terrain tile bases from Amera. Kromlech has some new wallpapers for your computer. Troll Forged shows off the test print for their Dreadnaught (he’s a biggie). All that and more in this new batch.
“What’s a news snippet?” I hear you ask. Well, they’re just those shorter stories that we come across here at TGN that don’t have much to go with it. Maybe it’s a piece of concept art that we don’t know what specific game it’s for. Or it’s an unlabeled green. Or it’s something else along those lines that aren’t a full story, but we want to make sure you know about it anyway. We’ve collected them together and have them here for you now.
