Mantic Releasing New Warpath Vehicles in August

I mentioned earlier not wanting to just walk to battle. Where’s the fun in that? No, you want to in style, like in some awesome combat vehicle. Well, the Enforcers and Forge Fathers in Warpath don’t want their troops just hoofing it to the conflict, so they’re getting some new vehicle releases next month.

Edge of the Abyss Summer Campaign Book Available to Order for Kings of War

I do so love a campaign system for games. I’ve never been too hot on tournaments. Too much pressure all at once. But a nice campaign, over the course of a couple weeks or months, spreads all of that out and is just more enjoyable, in my experience. Well, Mantic is giving players the tools to run a summer campaign in Kings of War using the Edge of the Abyss book. It’s available for pre-order now.

New Warpath Army Deals Available From Mantic

Getting into a new game, or even just a new force within a game you already play, can be a bit of a chore. Trying to figure out what all you need isn’t always the easiest to figure out. That’s where ready-to-play (once assembled, anyway) army forces can really help out. In the case of Mantic’s Warpath, there’s a bunch of new army deals available over in their webshop.

New Warpath and Walking Dead Releases Available From Mantic

You might think to yourself, “man, all these zombies around here. I should just blast myself into space. It’s probably safer there.” But that might not actually be the case. There’s war among the stars, too. So you might as well pick your poison. Take on some new releases for The Walking Dead: All Out War, or possibly die on a planet far from Earth in Warpath. Both are available now over on Mantic’s website.

Podcast Roundup

But, but but… it’s Wednesday!
I know. I know. But this has been a strange week. Got home from the Expo the other day and spent the first part of Monday at the mechanic to get my car checked out. Then got home and found that, due to a crack in my tub underneath my bathmat, water had been leaking into my bedroom closet. Apparently, it’s been doing it for a while, since the carpet and several boxes were moldy (I lost a whole box of 3.5 and a couple 4.0 D&D books). Then there was the server migration and… yeah, I am ready for the weekend. So, as I sit, waiting for the repairmen to come over to resurface my bathtub, I’m going to pop on some gaming podcasts. Yes, it’s a day late, but better late than never.

Today we have: Meeples & Miniatures Episode 209: Vexillia Card Games; The Polyhedron Collider Cast Episode 24: Dark Souls, Farsight, Petrichor, Ravage and Exit; Epic Gaming Night Podcast Episode 105: Crossfire Road with Emerson; Gamers Lounge Episode 137: A bit of a mystery; Mantic Radio Episode 9; Rolling Dice & Taking Names Episode 118: 2017 Summer Movie Preview; The Cardboard Herald Episode 27: Reiner Knizia, designer of ALL THE GAMES; Lords of the Dungeon 3: On Rails vs Sandbox Campaigns; Singled Out Episode 33: Talking Season 3 Brewers with Sherwin; Blue Peg, Pink Peg Episode 98: Yokohama; Tales of Malifaux 55; and News of the North – 2017-05-16.

Thursday Terrain Corner

Well, it’s Thursday. This week has gone by super-fast, mostly because of how busy it’s been. But that’s what happens the week before a show. Also, we’ve had a lot of people in the office to help prep. So that makes time go by, too. At the CMON Expo, there’ll be plenty of games going on, all of them on some good-looking tables. If you’re looking to make your tables look good, you should check out these stories.

Today in the Terrain Corner we have: Deep-Cut Studio releases sandy game mats for dedicated games, New 28mm British Houses Available From Sally 4th, New Terrain And Graffiti Transfers From Micro Art Studio, Torture Chamber unlocked as TerrainCrate total hits $400k, Two New Mats Available In Neoprene From Pwork Wargame, and BattleMats Releases Death Road Map.

Monday Terrain Corner

Well, we knew it was inevitable. The weekend has come to an end and we’re back at the start of the work week. Though, at least for me, this is no ordinary work week. CMON Expo is this upcoming weekend. If you’ll be in the Atlanta area, you should stop by and say, “hi.”
But before we get to that, we still have our regularly-scheduled posts to make. That includes today’s Terrain Corner.

As such, we have: Sci-Fi Scenery Added to TerrainCrate Kickstarter, Large Desert Building Available From Battlefront, Terminus Segments modular mat and District 5 Catwalks Available From Micro Art Studio, Heroic Maps’ St Olfryc’s Priory Bundle Now Available, and Cyber City Game Mat Available From Pwork Wargame.

Warpath Starter Rules Available For Free From Mantic

As you all very well know, I’m a “try before you buy” sort of gamer. If I can even just get a read of the rules beforehand, it’ll really help me decide if a game’s for me or not. With so many out there (and more coming all the time), I certainly can’t play them all. So I think it’s awesome that Mantic has posted a bunch of their rules for free on their website. To that list, they’ve now included Warpath.

Thursday Terrain Corner

The busy week of being busy continues on. Yesterday was more of the same. The one thing that’s nice is that, sure, it’s been busy, but it’s been the good, productive kind of busy. So even though it’s a huge checklist I’m working through, things are being checked off. The next thing on said list is to give you stories about terrain. So let’s get to it.

The Walking Dead Kickstarter Exclusives Available With Mantic Points

So, the thing with Kickstarter exclusives is that you can’t sell them after the Kickstarter campaign, but you can give them away as promotional materials. I’ve learned this over the years, seeing how they’re handled. It’s a good way to still get those items, though it can sometimes mean jumping through hoops. Well, Mantic has made the hoop rather easy to jump through to get some of the Kickstarter items for The Walking Dead: All Out War. You can get them by using your Mantic points.

Monday Terrain Corner

Well, I’m coming to realize that this is not going to be a regular week. With all the prep and hype for GAMA last week, even though I realize that I leave for Adepticon this week, it’s still sort of a, “oh yeah, that…” instead of, y’know, “Oh yeah! That!!” At Adepticon, one of the things people want to see most are the cool armies and army boards. It’s a big miniatures game, so you know there’s going to be some awesome-looking tables. If you want your tables to look that good, you’ll probably want to check out the stories below.

Today in the Terrain Corner we have: Dale’s RV Coming to The Walking Dead and

Mantic Taking Pre-Orders For New Warpath Releases

Gamers love being the first ones on their block with the latest and greatest releases. If you’re a fan of Mantic’s sci-fi miniatures game, Warpath, you’ll be wanting to head over to their webshop. Mantic Games Releasing The Walking Dead: All Out War OP Kit

Wherever gamers get together to game, there’s going to be the question of, “who is the best at this game?” So you pair off and fight it out (on the tabletop, of course), looking to work your way to the top table and come out the champion. Nothing wrong with the good, healthy spirit of friendly competition, and Mantic is looking to reward that spirit with their The Walking Dead: All Out War organized play kit, coming out this month.

Midweek Snippets

Is this week going by slowly for everyone else, too, or is it just me? I don’t know if it’s because I’m working from home as the new office continues to be set up, or if it’s just that this week is one that’s taking forever. Maybe it’s that I don’t currently have water in the apartment (the county is coming out today to figure out what’s up with that). Whatever it might be, if I’m going to make it through the rest of the week, I need to power up with some bite-size gaming stories.

Today we have: Mantic Games Announces The Walking Dead: All Out War Premium Collector’s Edition Diorama, Khurasan releases late 16th century landsknechts, Oddzial Osmy’s 3mm February Releases Arrive at PicoArmor, MegaMinis Running Robots Kickstarter, Journey To Ragnarok Coming To Kickstarter Soon, Final Day for Savage Worlds: Zombie Squad On Kickstarter, New Legionary Heavy Weapon Platform: Quad Heavy Thunder Gun Available From Kromlech, and Elder Dice Kickstarter Happening Now.

New The Walking Dead: All Out War Boosters Available To Order

The Walking Dead has gone through many characters over the course of its run. Some you’re happy to see make it away from the horrors of the zombies and murderous other humans. Well, Mantic is letting you bring a bunch more of those characters to your tabletops in The Walking Dead: All Out War, as a bunch of boosters are available to pre-order.

New Neritica Troops Available For Pre-Order For Kings of War

Bloop! Bloop! Bloop!
I still really never want to go out into the ocean. There’s all sorts of things out there that we may never fully know about. And while the chances that there’s a race of super-intelligent fish-people with their own civilization are pretty low… we don’t really know that they aren’t there. They certainly are in Kings of War, and they’ve got new units available for pre-order now.

We’ve all had that Kickstarter that we missed out on that we really wish we’d been part of. Maybe the money’s just not there, or you happened to just miss that it was running, or whatever. Such is the case with Mantic, as they are currently taking Late Pledges for their Star Saga sci-fi board game.
