Children of the Fall Post-Apocalyptic RPG Up On Indiegogo

Never trust anyone over 30.
It’s an old saying, but in Children of the Fall, it’s extra-true. Mostly, because chances are that anyone over 30 was morphed by an apocalyptic event that’s turned them into cannibalistic remorseless killers. This post-apocalyptic, GM-less RPG is up on Indiegogo now.

Well-regulated hunting can be a positive factor in the health of a natural population. While that is up for some debate, many conservationists would agree. And when it comes to huge, mythical creatures, the same holds true. Chernobyl, Mon Amour RPG Up On Indiegogo

Anyone about my age and older surely remembers Chernobyl. The reactor there went kerplooey and filled the surrounding area with deadly radiation. As such, hundreds of square miles had to be evacuated. And, to this day, barely anyone ever goes there… barely. In Chernobyl, Mon Amour, you take on the role of a Ukrainian criminal who has fled to the Zone of Alienation around the reactor. You’ve done this to escape the authorities. Steamforged Launches Fisherman’s and Butcher’s Guild Indiegogo Campaigns

The latest teams to come out for Guild Ball, the Farmer’s Guild and the Blacksmith’s Guild, have both been in pre-constructed boxes, with the figures made out of PVC. Meanwhile, the original teams have only been consolidated into team boxes. Well, Steamforged is looking to switch entirely over to that new format, and bringing the original Guilds to that new style is on the docket. To test the waters to see if this is something you, the players, want, they have launched Indiegogo campaigns in order to get the first two of those teams made, the Butchers and the Fishermen. The campaigns are limited to 800 each, as that’s the break-even point on tooling and creating the teams. From there, they’ll go to retail… if the campaigns succeed. They are up and running now.

Thursday Terrain Corner

Ok, now I can finally talk about Thursday’s Terrain Corner, because it’s actually Thursday. While I still woke up thinking it was Friday, my mind’s recalibrated and it actually does feel like a Thursday (being in my Thursday shirt helps, though I was also in my Wednesday shirt yesterday and that still had me feeling off, so there’s that). Anyway, with a long weekend for many of us coming up, I hope you’ll have some time to game. And, when gaming, it’s good to have good looking gaming tables.

In the Terrain Corner today we have: New Kits Available To Pre-order From Plastcraft, New Battle Map Available For for Memoir ’44, MapForge Battle Map Creator Up On Indiegogo, and Dark Gotham Gaming Mat Available From Pwork Wargame.

Battle of Golems Board Game Up On Indiegogo

The digital world is becoming more and more important in our everyday lives. Hell, I work online. You’re reading this on some electronic device (unless you have someone print out all these articles for you and then hands you the hard copy, which just seems odd…). All of these items run using programs. So having knowledge of programming language is a handy skill to have. Well, Battle of Golems looks to help you learn basics of programming while also letting you play a cool game. It’s up on Indiegogo now.

Business Mania Board Game Up On Indiegogo

Many people have dreamed of opening their own business. Hell, just the other day I was thinking of opening up a gaming shop/bakery. I’d call it “Dice and Dough” and the motto would be “That’s what we roll!” You could have a game of 40k or Guild Ball and then to celebrate your victory/get over your defeat, you could go and eat some freshly-baked cookies. Well, in Business Mania, a new board game that’s up on Indiegogo, you will be opening up your own businesses, looking to build them up, sabotage your opponent’s businesses, and look to make it to the top.

Unfortunately, that means dealing with all the radioactive mutated creatures on the surface. That’s what you’re going to be doing in Afterbomb Madness, a new post-apocalyptic sci-fi RPG up on Indiegogo.

I think it’s safe to say that if you’re here on the site (or following us on Social Media), you’re a fan of board games. However, learning a new game can, at times, be a bit of a chore. Even a good rulebook can sometimes leave you with questions. That’s where Dized comes in. It’s a new app that helps you learn board games while you play them. The campaign to fund the app is up on Indiegogo now.

Karma Storytelling Game Up On Indiegogo

“What goes around, comes around.” “You reap what you sow.” “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” “Don’t be an ass.” “You brought this upon yourself.” Basically, all of those say much the same thing. The way you act and treat others is going to come back to you. Karma, a storytelling game that’s up on Indiegogo now, has that same sort of “cosmic balance” thing going on with it.

Thursday Terrain Corner

I originally started typing “Monday Terrain Corner” there in the headline. I’m not entirely sure what that means. I do know that it’s been a rather long week. Lots of stuff going on. Busy weeks usually mean quick weeks, but not so much the case this time around. I guess I’m just anxious for game day at the Library this weekend. And if we’re going to be gaming, we should make our game tables look as good as possible.

Today in the Terrain Corner we have: Hobgoblin-3D – 3D Printed Terrain Now Available, DUNGEONFOG RPG Map Maker Coming to Kickstarter, Final Days For Printable Scenery On Kickstarter, Hellgate Gaming Mat Available From Pwork Wargame, Heroic Maps – Day & Night: Hobcastle Ruins – Orc Fort now Available, and Deep Delve Dungeon – dungeon building kit in resin On Indiegogo.

Sometimes reality doesn’t quite match up with what you think should be happening. That’s just what you get to do in Alternative Facts, a new party card game that’s up on Indiegogo now.

Somme: Life in the Saps Card Game Up On Indiegogo

Back when I was working on my History Master’s degree (I’ll go back and finish it at some point… … …), I had a lot of interest in WWI. It really was, in my view, the first “modern war” and certainly what set the foundation for the rest of the 20th century. So when I see games based on it, considering how many are based on WWII, it instantly has my attention. As such, I’m definitely looking into Somme: Life in the Saps, a new card game that’s up on Indiegogo.

Friday Snippets

It has been a busy week.
Work has been full of time working on (redacted). I can’t wait until I can tell you all about it. Other than that, I’m making pizza tonight. And by that, I mean I made my own sauce from scratch, and the dough ball that will be the crust is currently in the fridge, slowly rising. It’ll be brought out when I get home. The only thing I didn’t do was cure my own bacon, grind my own Italian sausage, or make my own mozzarella cheese… though I could possibly do those first two, and might at some point. And as for tomorrow, it’s Board Game Day at the Milton Library, where I’ll be playing Guild Ball and Fujian Trader. Hopefully you have your own gaming plans lined up. With all that going on, it’s best to load up on some bite-sized gaming stories.

Today we have: Ancestral Ruins Bases 20x20mm and 25x25mm Now Available From Tabletop-Art, Arcane Arts gets a face lift, Zen Bins Destiny Storage Trays Up On Kickstarter, Titan-forge Launches Dragon Empire Kickstarter, More Info Posted About Trollkins Indiegogo Campaign, New Ultimate Barrage Template from Pyrkol, Desert Basing Kit Available From Gale Force Nine, Khurasan releases Oceanic Republic NF range, and New Weekend Promo from Kromlech.

Thursday Terrain Corner

So the middle of yesterday sort of dragged along, but overall the week is still going by in a flash (for me, at least). Hopefully you have weekend plans like I do. We’re going to be having a build party for my friend’s original Kingdom Death set. Though, really, I’m gonna be trying to get people to play Guild Ball, instead, since I didn’t get a chance last week like I was gonna have. 😛

The Plot Thickens Storytelling Card Game Up On Indiegogo

Storytelling is as old as communication. It’s been an integral part of society since we were all sitting around fires, talking about the last mastodon hunt. Friday Snippets

Well, it’s been a bit of a short week here in the office, having only come in Wed-Fri. Though, with having just a little time off from Gen Con, it felt much longer. I’m looking forward to a weekend of doing probably not all that much at all. Just some time to decompress a bit. Should be nice. Lets me put together some of the figures I got at the show. Afterglow Miniatures Game Up On Indiegogo

Well, as it so often does, the world has once more come to an end. Damnit, Carl! I told you to not push that big, glowing button on that military console! Now we’re living in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, where resources are scarce, and humanity is just barely scratching by, with rival gangs hunting each other down to control the few pieces of real-estate that aren’t garbage. Just out of view, unknown by basically every person on Earth, there’s a battle going on between various factions for the control of not just the Earth, but all of the souls of its inhabitants. It’s not just Angels and Demons, either. Various other factions look to carve out their own spheres of influence. Well, that “shadow war” is about to become a lot less shadowy. That’s the set-up for Slouching Towards Bethlehem, a new expansion for Contagion 2nd Edition, and it’s up on Indiegogo now.
