Review Roundup

Well, I did my Thanksgiving grocery shopping. It’s… well, I’m having 2 Thanksgivings, so there’s that. Turkeys, dressing, potatoes, sweet potatoes, stuff to make glazed carrots, rolls (from scratch), and a couple pumpkin pies. Because, you know, if anything’s worth doing, it’s worth doing right.

But that’s for Thursday and Friday. For right now, we’ve got reviews. So let’s get to it.

Today we have: Robots Love Ice Cream, Acquire, Bloodborne: The Card Game, The Arrival, Trick of the Rails, Great Western Trail, 7 Wonders Duel: Pantheon, Inis, Fabled Fruit, Ticket to Ride: Rails & Sails, CO-OP: The Co-op Card Game, Star Trek: Ascendancy, Terraforming Mars, Hit Z Road, Hocus, Ta-Da!, Legends Untold, and Ominoes.

TGN Saturday Edition: Review Roundup

As I mentioned before, this week really seemed to go by fast. At least I thought so. Here it is, Saturday morning (well, it’s morning when I’m working on this post, anyway), getting ready for a full day of cooking (pot roast and banana pudding cheesecake pie) and thinking, “wasn’t it just Tuesday, like, yesterday?” Anyway, as my day is full of cooking, I hope your day is full of gaming. But what games should you play? Well, how about a list of reviews to help you make your choice? Seems like a good plan.

Today’s topics include: Arcadia Quest, Star Wars Risk, The Voyages of Marco Polo, Dominion: Adventures, Dragonwood, Treasure Hunter, Isle of Skye, Hocus, and Caylus.

Sunday Snippets

Welcome back again to TGN. Hopefully you had a good day yesterday. I spent the morning cleaning the place up a bit. Then most of the afternoon assembling a little more than half of the Age of Sigmar box set. The other half will be done today, after I get this post scheduled up. I’ve just got the Khorne warrior-dudes left to go.

How about you? What sort of gaming-related activities did you do yesterday/have planned for today?

In this batch of snippets we’ve got: A couple more installments of The Fiver from The Meeple Mechanic, Advanced Deployment’s Huge Birthday Sale, Schleswig Holstein flags from Victorian Steel, Shattered Crown Previews Bear Cavalry Render, and Last days for RN Estudio’s Latest Fantasy Sports Indiegogo campaign.

TGN Saturday Edition: Review Roundup

I, as I mentioned in my post yesterday, am more-than-likely playing 2nd edition D&D when this will be posted to the site.
Some friends I know have a long-running campaign and the DM is writing me in as an occasionally-recurring NPC. Not sure what my character will be (at time of typing), but it should be a good time.

Anyway, that’s as may be. Right now, it’s time for some game reviews.

In this batch, we have reviews/previews of: Boss Monster 2, Dark City 30 Corner Apartment Building and Gargoyles, Golem Arcana, The Great War, Apotheca, Lord of the Rings board game, Hocus, Paradox, Kaleidoscope, Infinity, Penny Press, Argonauts, Argent: The Consortium, and Star Wars Armada.
