WizKids Previews Rocksteady For HeroClix

I wanna roooock… steaaaaaady.
Steady-rockin’ all night long.
Ok, not really the same thing, but maybe I got a song stuck in 1-2 of your heads (if so, mission accomplished). The other day, we got a look at Bebop for the upcoming Heroes in a Half Shell set for HeroClix. And where Bebop goes, Rocksteady can’t be far behind. Well, here he is.

WizKids Previews Bebop for HeroClix

WizKids isn’t satisfied with just one set of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles HeroClix. They’ve been working on a second set, of which they’ve just started showing off previews. To begin, we get a look at one of the Turtles’ regular foes. He’s the gang member-turned-warthog, Bebop.

WizKids Previews Mephisto For HeroClix

Today we’ve got another of those champion-inspired previews for HeroClix. This time we get a look at the devil, Mephisto, with stats created by Paris Gordon. Mephisto certainly has had quite a history with Spider-Man. Just ask Linkara what he thinks about all of it, too. I’m sure you’ll love the response. Anyway, so, what sort of thing does Mephisto do in the game?

WizKids Previews Chameleon For HeroClix

There are several game companies out there that, for their highest-level tournaments, give the winners a chance to work with the design team for the game and create new figures to be part of the line. That’s just such a figure we get a preview of today that’s going to be part of the Superior Foes of Spider-Man set. We get a look at the Chameleon.

WizKids Previews Power Man and Iron Fist For HeroClix

Not every piece in the Superior Foes of Spider-Man set for HeroClix is, in fact, a foe of Spider-Man. Some are regularly seen fighting against the same villains as Spider-Man. Take these two… err… one… err.. two…
Why the confusion? Because Power Man and Iron Fist is two figures in one.

WizKids Previews Morlun For HeroClix

Who knew one guy could have so many enemies? Spider-Man seems so unassuming and likeable that it seems crazy that so many are out for his blood. But that’s super-villains for you, I guess. And the next one being previewed for the Superior Foes of Spider-Man set for HeroClix is a pretty nasty one. It’s Morlun.

WizKids Previews Stilt-Man for HeroClix

Comics are weird. And let’s face it, the concept for some of the heroes and villains can be… a touch… silly. At least on first inspection. So, having an arch-nemesis named Stilt-Man, who runs around town in a giant robotic suit with huge stilts for legs… Eh. Maybe it’s just me. Anyway, he’s getting a figure in the Superior Foes of Spider-Man HeroClix set and you can take a look at him now.

WizKids Previews Hydro-Man For HeroClix

Water, water everywhere. Hydro-Man must be visiting. The man with the power to turn into and control water is next up in line to be previewed for the upcoming Superior Foes of Spider-Man set for HeroClix. So, you might want to get out your hip-waders… Or maybe your full scuba suit.

WizKids Previews Venom and Anti-Venom For HeroClix

Though the pre-release events might not be happening, that doesn’t mean that they’re not showing off previews for the upcoming set. This time around we get two opposite ends of the symbiote spectrum. On one hand, you’ve got Venom, who’s all about taking big bites out of whomever happens to get close. Then there’s Anti-Venom, who wants to be the cure for symbiotes everywhere.

The Superior Foes of Spider-Man Pre-Release Event Cancelled

Well, this isn’t the happiest of news stories. WizKids has announced that they’re having to cancel their Superior Foes of Spider-Man pre-release events (you know, like how we just had that Carnage preview the other day?). The reason for the cancellation is because of a train wreck. As in, a literal train wreck.

WizKids Previews Carnage For Superior Foes of Spider-Man HeroClix Set

WizKids is coming out with a new Marvel HeroClix set. The figure here’s part of a 5-figure booster that will be coming out in August, but there will be pre-release events at the end of July. We’re also getting a new card layout, it looks like, for the figures. They’re adding in a chart that shows all the stats on the dials for the figures. Interesting. Anyway, take a look at Carnage.

WizKids Previews Coldblood and Bullseye for Marvel HeroClix

Well, everyone, today’s the day you can start going out and getting your Civil War HeroClix action on. … Uh, that’s Marvel’s Civil War, that is. There’s no Sherman or Lee or Grant in this set (though, now that I think about it, that’d be pretty cool). WizKids has always been really good about having special prizes for their organized play kits for the new sets. This one’s no different. This time around we get a look at Coldblood and Bullseye from that OP kit.

WizKids Previews Civil War Storyline Prize Figures For HeroClix

One of the most iconic images from the Civil War storyline in the comics was the cover of #7 where you’ve got Cap holding his shield up against the repulsor blasts from Iron Man. It’s obvious the two have been in quite a scrap. Well, now you can recreate that scene on your tabletops with the prize figures from the Civil War Storyline Event kit for HeroClix from WizKids (if you win them, that is).

WizKids Previews Civil War Storyline OP Kit Captain America and Iron Man

Well, raise your hands if you went and saw Civil War over the weekend. You’d think it were 1862 with how much people are talking about Civil War. That’s a history joke.
Anyway, seeing as just about everything I know of that’s Marvel-related is doing Civil War-related stuff, WizKids is no different, having a Storyline OP kit for players. They’re showing off the Captain America and Iron Man from that kit today.

WizKids Previews First Half of Fast Forces Set For Uncanny X-Men HeroClix

We’re just a few, short days from the release of the Uncanny X-Men set for HeroClix. We’ve gotten a bunch of previews of various models that will be in the set. But WizKids is really good about giving people more than one way to get into the new sets. One way is the Fast Forces pack. Today we get a look into the first half of that.

WizKids Previews Sabretooth and Wild Child For HeroClix

Some of you may end up at an Uncanny X-Men HeroClix set preview event tomorrow. So you may be ripping into boxes and checking out all of the new figures. And then, of course, playing against others as you all try and figure out what all those minis can do. Well, to help a bit, we’ve got another preview for the set. This time around it’s Sabretooth and Wild Child.

WizKids Previews Magneto For HeroClix

And back we go to the Marvel side of things for HeroClix (I almost said “mutants side of thing” and then remembered the other preview set being shown lately, y’know, has “mutant” in the title). This time around it’s one of the most well-known characters in the Marvel universe. Though I think someone accidentally put bleach in the machine when washing his outfit. Anyway, here’s Magneto.

WizKids Previews Krang For HeroClix

While Shredder might be the first major villain people think of when they think of the Ninja Turtles, Krang is usually just behind. I mean, Krang was a talking brain with pointy teeth running around in a giant robot suit (though many of us, I’m sure, remember his little chicken-legged walker, too). Well, now the ruler of Dimension X will be coming to your tabletop in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles HeroClix set.

WizKids Previews Omega Red For HeroClix

Knight Models aren’t the only guys with a superhero game around. WizKids has the long-running HeroClix Game. You know, I’ve not read comics for a very long time and I never collected all that many when I did. So it’s pretty rare that a comic that I owned shows up on one of these stat cards. But in this case, that’s not the case. Today’s preview is for Omega Red.

WizKids Previews Renet Tilley for Ninja Turtles HeroClix

The Ninja Turtles have gone on a lot of adventures across a lot of different media. They started as a comic book, then there was the first cartoon, then video games, some movies, then more cartoons, and more comics, and just seemingly everything else in-between. They have a lot of allies and villains that I don’t know about, since I mostly stuck to the original cartoon. One I didn’t know about was Renet Tilley, but she’s on preview now for the upcoming HeroClix set.

WizKids Previews Rat King For HeroClix

Just because we got that one preview for the upcoming X-Men set doesn’t mean that we’re done seeing figures from the TMNT set for HeroClix. Oh no. There’s still more to be had, the next one of which is the Rat King. I remember having the toy as a kid.

WizKids Previews Emma Frost For HeroClix

Well, seems the Ninja Turtles aren’t the only figures getting previews over at WizKids in terms of upcoming HeroClix sets. They’ve posted up the first of a new set, this one revolving around the Uncanny X-Men. To start things off, they’ve put a little chill back in the air (even though spring just started here the other day) with a look at Emma Frost.

WizKids Previews Fugitoid For HeroClix

It’s pretty amazing. We keep getting these previews for the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set for HeroClix, but all I can think of, whenever I see a new figure, are the old toys I used to have. Even Fugitoid, a character I don’t ever really remember from the old cartoon, but I did have the toy for. I didn’t remember his name. It was just seeing this new figure and thinking, “Hey… didn’t I used to have…” and then doing a bit of Googling. Anyway, here’s the next preview.

New Update Posted For CMON Expo

We’re less than 2 months away from CMON Expo 2016. Things are really starting to get busy over here. Lots of buzz around the office as preparations are solidified. Being Friday, it’s time once more for an Expo Update. This time around we’ve got info about a new contest, a new event, and a new guest.

WizKids Previews Casey Jones for HeroClix

The previews of the allies that tend to pal around with the Ninja Turtles continues. There really were a whole group of them, when you stop to think about it. One of my personal favorites was the hockey-mask-wearing, baseball-bat swinging, vigilante that is Casey Jones. Of course he’d be getting a figure in this new set.

WizKids Previews Metalhead For Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles HeroClix

Cowabunga dudes and dudettes!
It’s time for another radical preview for the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set for HeroClix. We’ve seen all four of the turtles, but there’s a whole host of allies that make appearances with the heroes in a half-shell. One’s custom-made by Donatello to be his good friend. This preview it’s Metalhead.

WizKids Previews Leonardo For HeroClix

We keep making our way through the previews for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set that’s coming out soon for HeroClix. This time around we get the boy in blue… Well… eventually he came blue. He started out in red like all the others. I’m talking about the turtle with the katanas. It’s time for Leonardo.

WizKids Previews Michelangelo for Ninja Turtle HeroClix

Cowabunga, dudes!
It’s time for another radical preview from the most extreme Ninja Turtle HeroClix set coming out from those gnarly dudes at WizKids!
… I… almost feel bad that I do actually have a flannel shirt on, though I do not have a backwards baseball hat on.
WizKids really is showing off two versions of Michelangelo, though.

WizKids Previews Baxter Stockman for HeroClix

We all know about the Turtles, but the TMNT universe is filled with a whole cast of other, unique characters (that I more-than-likely had the toys for back when I was a kid). One of which was Baxter Stockman. Originally a scientist, he went all Jeff Goldblum on us and turned into a fly. Today we get a look at both his human and fly form coming for HeroClix.

TMNT/Convention HeroClix Previews From WizKids

As convention season is basically upon us right now, WizKids is giving us a look at all the sorts of things you can get from them as convention exclusives. There’s one set of previews of stuff that you can buy directly (my personal favorite being Batman with the huge bomb from the Adam West TV series), and the others are prizes for the various events. Along with all those previews they have a pair of Donatellos from the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set.

WizKids Previews Raphael From The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles HeroClix Set

While it bounces back and forth between Marvel and DC on a very regular basis, it’s important to not forget that HeroClix is open to any IP that WizKids can get (I’m still saddened that the Hello Kitty set apparently never materialized, just because of how funny that would have been). Well, that includes Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The set is on its way and the first preview is up. It’s Raphael.

WizKids Releases World’s Finest Set for DC HeroClix

Well, people might be focused mostly on Marvel properties today, that doesn’t mean we don’t have stories dealing with DC as well. That’s because WizKids has released their World’s Finest set for HeroClix in North America. So run on down to your LGS and get yourself some packs containing some of the greatest heroes the world has ever seen.

WizKids Previews Poison Ivys for Upcoming World’s Finest Set

Yes, Ivys, since there’s a couple of them. Comic book characters do, indeed, change over time. Though it may seem that they don’t, they certainly grow and change, gaining and losing powers, joining and leaving teams, acquiring and leaving love interests. The World’s Finest set will show off some of these characters in different stages through their comic career. The one they’re focusing on today is Poison Ivy.
