WizKids Previews Mini Shredder For HeroClix

Comics are weird. I mean, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is already pretty weird, just starting out. It’s sort of right there in the name. Well, the comics got weirder from there, including all manner of odd characters. In this case, we’re talking about Mini Shredder. Yeah, Austin Powers certainly wasn’t the first place to have that sort of thing (and neither were the Turtles, but still…).

WizKids Previews Savanti Romero For HeroClix

The previews are coming hot and heavy for the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles releases from WizKids. Both Dice Masters and HeroClix are getting sets, and that means plenty of characters in various forms. The one for HeroClix today is a bit of a mouthful to say. Take a look at Savanti Alfonso Juanito Geriero Santiago Romero.

WizKids Previews Superman vs. Muhammad Ali Convention Exclusive For HeroClix

While comics take place in a world much like ours (except where you can have giant aliens and robots and such, of course), they’re usually a step apart and you don’t get too many real-world crossovers. Well, back in 1978, DC brought boxer Muhammad Ali to their pages where he sparred against none other than the Man of Steel, himself, Superman. Now, WizKids is bringing that to your HeroClix tabletops with a special set that is a convention exclusive.

WizKids Previews Shredder’s Return Fast Forces For HeroClix

Well, they give us a look at half of it, anyway. WizKids is coming out with a new Fast Forces set for the upcoming Shredder’s Return set for HeroClix and they give us a look at three of the figures within: Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo.

WizKids Previews Sliver for HeroClix

Ah, the alternate universe. It’s a great way for a writer to take characters that we all know and love and put them into new situations or give them similar but altered traits. And that’s just what happened in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic. In an alternate reality, the Turtles gained different super powers and their master, Splinter, was the dark and evil Sliver. Well, Sliver’s coming to HeroClix and you can check him out below.

WizKids Previews Bebop for HeroClix

Where would The Shredder be without his faithful assistant and henchman, Bebop? … … … Probably a lot closer to actually completing his plans of defeating the Turtles and world domination, actually. But that’s beside the point. The Shredder’s Return set for HeroClix will be coming out soon and there’s going to be both a pre- and post-mutation version of Bebop in there, of which we get a look at here.

WizKids Previews Foot Tech Soldiers For HeroClix

Dice Masters isn’t the only game getting a Ninja Turtles expansion soon. HeroClix will be getting their 3rd mutant-themed set when Shredder’s Return comes out. And what would fighting against Shredder be without fighting against Foot Soldiers? Nothing, that’s what. Well, the new set has plenty of new Foot Soldiers for you to line the field with.

WizKids Previews Spirit of Vengeance Red Hulk For HeroClix

Ok, so, what would happen if you mixed the power of the Red Hulk, added in the symbiotic might of Venom, and threw in a dash of Biblical vengeance from Ghost Rider? Well, you’d get the Spirit of Vengeance Red Hulk. Yes, it happened (comics are weird) and it’s coming to your tabletops for HeroClix as a convention exclusive figure.

WizKids Previews Convention Exclusive Captain America

Comic writers love to give us alternate versions of the characters we love. With the multiple universes that they create, you can get all different types of characters, letting you explore them from different angles and under different circumstances. One such alternate universe is Earth X, where we get a new version of Captain America. He’s coming to HeroClix as a con exclusive, and we get a look at him here.

WizKids Previews Pym Particle Tank And Pym Pocket Tank For HeroClix

As we saw in the previous preview from WizKids about their upcoming Convention Exclusives for HeroClix, Pym Particles can be used to make things smaller, or they can be used to make things much, much bigger. That doesn’t just include Hank Pym, himself, but various objects as well, including tanks.

WizKids Previews Giant-Man For HeroClix

Pym particles are mostly known for shrinking you down in size. However, with the right application, they can also cause things to grow to gigantic size. As such, Ant-Man can also become Giant-Man. WizKids is going to have a limited-edition version of Giant-Man at their WizKids Winter Open and wanted to give you a look at his dial.

WizKids Previews LE Pizza Face For HeroClix

Friday night is pizza night.
It always has been for me as long as I can remember. I’m planning on having pizza tonight, in fact. So the idea of a pizza-monster attacking me seems like something out of my nightmares. Well, that’s just what can happen in HeroClix. In their continuing look at the upcoming convention promos for the Winter WizKids Open, we get a look at Pizza Face in this preview.

WizKids Previews Bat-Knight For HeroClix

The other day, we got a look at the various convention exclusives that are coming to the Winter WizKids open in February. Well, all we got to see was the fact that they existed. This time around, we get a look at the stats for one of them. That one, in-particular, is the one DC figure from the set, Bat-Knight.
It’s a car! It’s a Batman! It’s a car AND a Batman!

WizKids Previews 2017 Convention Exclusives for HeroClix

A lot of really strange things can happen in the comics. Alternate-timelines and other dimensions can create situations where heroes are much different than their more-well-known styles. Sometimes, those characters don’t quite seem like something that would go into a HeroClix set. Thankfully, with convention exclusives, that sort of worry goes out the window. WizKids has posted up a preview of convention exclusive minis they’ll be rolling out next year.

The latest set for HeroClix is now available. For you DC fans, you’ll want to head to your LGS and pick up your boosters of the new Joker’s Wild set. The Clown Prince is all over the set, along with all his friends and enemies (most would call them “heroes” though).

Thursday Terrain Corner

The first couple days went by slowly, but since then, at least for me, the week’s felt like it’s picked up steam and we’re rushing our way towards the weekend. I know I could use some relaxation time, and I just lined up a day of gaming on Saturday. So that should be good. Hopefully you’ve got plans along those same lines. And if you do, you’ll want your gaming table looking good. And that’s what we’re here to help with now.

Today in the Terrain Corner we have: New Premium Mats From WizKids, 4 new 1:72 Normandy Houses From Najewitz Modellbau, New Market Terrain From Micro Art Studio, New Samhain Gates From Valquiria Studio, and Woodland: Pwork Wargames Fantasy Gaming Mat Now Available.

WizKids Previews The Penguin For HeroClix

One of the more iconic villains in the Batman universe is The Penguin. Oswald Cobblepot always wanted to be high society. He certainly always saw himself that way, no matter what situation he found himself in. And in lieu of any humans to hang around with, or even avian friends, he’d build his own, robotic penguins to pal around with. And it’s of him and some of his penguin pals that we get a look at in this preview.

WizKids Previews The Joker For HeroClix

Characters in comic books tend to go through phases and changes. Sure, the rough idea of the character might be the same, but there’s a lot of specifics that can change. As such, HeroClix figures will come in different versions to show off these different types of character changes. So while there’s already been a different Joker previewed for the Joker’s Wild set, that doesn’t mean that’s the only Joker in said set.

WizKids Previews Looker For HeroClix

The Joker’s Wild set for HeroClix will be out soon. It’s always nice to know what you’re gonna be getting before you get it. As such, WizKids tends to give us lots of looks inside their sets. This is no different, with a look at not just one, but two versions of Looker.

WizKids Previews Mr. Freeze For HeroClix

Just today, it is kind of a cooler and blustery day here in Atlanta. Seems we might make a run at having some autumn after all. Either that, or Mr. Freeze is coming through town. At the very least, he’s making a visit to your computer screens now, as WizKids has posted up a new preview of the Joker’s Wild set for HeroClix, showing off Mr. Freeze.

New Joker’s Wild Previews Posted For HeroClix

Time goes by… so slowly…
Time goes by… so slowly…
Not exactly what I’m listening to right now, but I could be, with how this week is puttering along. What I need is the ability to control time. Yeah, that’d be cool. Or I could just go to sleep. Either way, those fit in with the preview of Hourman and Sandman that we get for the upcoming Joker’s Wild HeroClix set.

WizKids Previews Talon And Court of Owls Initiate For HeroClix

It would seem that the Joker’s Wild set coming out for HeroClix has another group that will be partaking in the action. The Court of Owls aren’t going to let the Joker or The Flash have all the fun running around the streets of Gotham. WizKids gives us a look at Talon, as well as two Initiates.

WizKids Previews The Rat King for HeroClix

Seems the Rat King went through some cosmetic changes between when I used to watch the Ninja Turtles cartoon and the 2011 comic series. This one also seems a lot more competent and menacing than what I remember. And he’ll be making his way to your tabletops in the Heroes in a Half Shell set for HeroClix.

WizKids Previews The Joker and Harley Quinn For HeroClix

WizKids has announced another new expansion for HeroClix. This time they’re headed back to the DC Comics side of things. The name of the set’s Joker’s Wild, and they’re wasting no time by giving us a look at Harley Quinn and Mistah J., the Joker.

WizKids Previews Griddex and Shellectro For HeroClix

While the very first Ninja Turtles comic was meant to be rather dark and gritty, subsequent comic books about the group tended to be a bit more brightly colored. But I guess that shouldn’t be too surprising with Gallagher involved with things. Lord knows plenty of turtles got experimented on in those pages, and always with very different results. Such as we have with Griddex and Shellectro, two chase figures from the Heroes in a Half Shell set for HeroClix.

WizKids previews Karai for HeroClix

Those of us that only know the Ninja Turtles through the cartoon from the 80s might think that the Shredder was the supreme leader of the Foot Clan (and that said clan was made up entirely of robots). Such was very much not the case for the comic series. There were many in charge of the Foot Clan, and not all of them agreed with what the Shredder was up to. One of them is Karai, who we get a preview of today.

WizKids Previews Renet Tilley For HeroClix

I mentioned in the previous post how time seems to be flying by this week. Well, for Renet Tilley, time’s always flying by. But that’s ok, because with her Scepter of the Sands of Time, she can go whenever she needs. It’s like that old chant, “What do we want!?” “Time travel!” “When do we want it!?” “That’s irrelevant!” Let’s take a look at what her figure for HeroClix will look like.

Heroes In A Half Shell Set Full Release Delayed Due To Shipping

Some of you might remember the shipping strike that happened a year or so ago and how that caused a ripple effect through much of gaming, as company’s had their containers stuck at the docks on ships while it all got sorted out. This year, we’ve got something not exactly the same, but the end result is similar. The Hanjin shipping company has filed for bankruptcy. “Yeah, so what?” you might say. Well, many gaming companies used Hanjin. That includes WizKids.

WizKids Previews Slash For HeroClix

No, WizKids isn’t doing a Guns ‘N Roses set for Heroclix… though that’d be friggin’ awesome!
Anyway, this preview is from the cartoon show. No, not the one I used to watch as a kid. Those were some of the previous previews. This time around it’s the 2012 animated series. We get a look at Slash.

WizKids Previews Fugitoid For HeroClix

Well, we’ve seen some of the more-iconic enemies. We’ve seen the four turtles. Let’s see what WizKids has for us today.
Ah, it’s Fugitoid, one of the quirky side-characters always popping in from time to time. The version here hails from the 1984 comic series. He’s quite a tough one to pin down, too.

New Ninja Turtles Preview For HeroClix Posted

Show of hands who watched the hell out of the Ninja Turtles cartoon back in the 90s. *raises hand and watches many other hands go up* Yeah, just as I figured. Well, WizKids is bringing more of those characters we loved so much in our youth to your tabletops now. We’ve seen some of the badguys already, now let’s get to the main team. We get a preview of all four Turtles.
