GCT Studios Posts New Bushido Previews

The Jung Pirates were a big hit during their release at Gen Con. Lots of people were coming over to check out the new faction and pick up the starter along with a couple extra figures. And while the Jung did get out of the gate (or is that away from the dock, when you’re talking about pirates?) with more than just a starter, they don’t quite have the numbers to match what other factions have. Well, they’ll be catching up a bit, as they’ve got two new releases coming with Wave 31 for Bushido. We get a preview of them today. The Tengu also are a petty new faction. We also get a look at a new mini they’ll be getting.

GCT Studios Previews Ujimushi For Bushido

Ninjas are sneaky. It’s sort of what they’re known for. While everyone was busy looking at the Jung Pirates (along with their crab-centaur-guy) at Gen Con, a new ninja was waiting off to the side, ready to ambush us with a new preview of GCT Studios’ Wave 31 for Bushido. Well, we’ve got a lock on him now and it’s time to take a look at Ujimushi.

Gen Con Day 1

Hey Everyone!

It’s really hard to believe the first day of Gen Con’s already over and I’m here getting prepped for Day 2! It was such a whirlwind, I didn’t get a chance to make this post last night. But don’t worry, I’ll be sure to get plenty more pictures today and get ’em up this evening for you. Remember, follow the TGN Facebook page to get these as they’re posted if you simply cannot wait to see what’s going on here at the show.

GCT Studios Taking Pre-orders For Jung Pirates

Yo ho-ho, a pirate’s life for me. If you want to live the pirate’s life as well on your Bushido tabletops, your wait is nearly over. The next faction for the game, the Jung Pirates, are soon to be let loosed upon the seas of the Jwar Isles. If you’re going to Gen Con, you can pick up your figures there. If not, have no fear, as pre-orders have just opened up.

GCT Previews New Jung Pirates for Bushido

As Gen Con gets closer, so does the imminent release of the newest faction for GCT Studios’ Bushido (editorializing here: it’s tied for my favorite miniatures game out there). It’s not just a starter set that’s coming out, either. The faction is rolling out in style with extra figures, faction dice, and the Jung Pirates Special Cards Pack 1. We get a look at two more pirates, as well as those dice and cards, today.

New Jung Preview And The Pioneers Program Rulebook Posted By GCT Studios

Sort of a double-feature (whether it’s late night or not) coming at you today from GCT Studios. Well, when you’ve got some big things on the horizon, you’ve got some big news posts. Today we get a look at another of the Jung Pirates, the new Bushido faction that will be premiering at Gen Con. GCT has also posted up the rulebook for The Pioneers Program, their upcoming game.

GCT Studios Previews New Jung Pirate

The Jung Pirates are a new faction that’s coming to Bushido from GCT Studios. We’ve seen a preview of the starter set that will be available first at Gen Con in just over a month’s time. They told us that they’ll have more than just the starters there, and so they’ve posted up the first preview of another figure for the Jung. His names Yuji and he’s got a monkey.

GCT Studios Announces New Bushido Faction

Gen Con will be here before we know it. Companies love to have new releases available for those that will be at the show. GCT Studios will be there. And they’ll certainly have new releases available. The big, new release is a whole new faction for Bushido. They’re the Jung Pirates, and GCT is showing off the starter set figures.

GCT Studios Previews Xi-Han and Zoo for Bushido

Bakemono are tricky, little buggers. Some can jump into shadows and come out elsewhere. Others employ various magic spells to confound you. And some just turn into giant, hulking brutes and bash your brains in with their now-oversized hands. That’s the case for Xi-Han and his alter-ego, Zoo. They’re coming soon for the Savage Wave for Bushido.

GCT Studios Previews New Kairai Models For Bushido

Zombies.
So, technically, Bushido doesn’t have them. However, they do have the Kairai for the Cult of Yurei. They’re pretty close. No, they won’t eat your brains. But they will gladly bash you to death with a giant mallet or stab you with farm implements at the behest of their masters. So there’s that.

TGN Exclusive: New Faction Preview For Bushido

While I certainly do enjoy a lot of different miniatures games, one of my favorites is Bushido by GCT Studios. It checks many of my, “I love when they do this in games” boxes. So I’m very much thrilled to hear that they’ll be coming out with a new faction for the game at Gen Con. They’ve also been so kind as to give me (and by extension, you) an exclusive preview of one of the upcoming models.

GCT Studios Previews Giant Eagle For Bushido

The Tengu Descension has regular humans in it, as well as bird-people. But what about just birds? Well, they’ve got that covered, too. They’re equal-opportunity on the man-to-bird scale when it comes to faction members. Today we get a look at the Giant Eagle figure for Bushido.

Wave 28 Available To Pre-Order For Bushido

GCT Studios has started taking orders for their next wave of releases. If you’d like to get some of these new models, you can put your name on the list so you’re the first gamer on your block with them when they get released. We also get a look at the Pied Piper of the Jwar Isles, Mokoti.

Pit Dogs Previewed For Bushido

There’s a little bit of everything going on in this update from GCT Studios, actually. The dogs are just the first part of it. About them, we all know that dog fighting isn’t a good idea in the real world. However, we also know that running people through with swords or shooting fireballs from your hands at them isn’t a good idea. Just remember that. Anyway, GCT is showing off the new Pit Dogs for Bushido.

GCT Studios Previews Kira For Bushido

While most models for Bushido are unique characters, and thus have lots of complex things they can do, sometimes you need simple, straight-forward figures that cost a few points less to fill in your forces. That’s where models like Kira come in. She’s a new monk for the Temple and she can be a little… pushy.

GCT Studios Previews Bakemono Beast Rider for Bushido

Ride ’em, cowboy!
Or, in this case, Ride ’em, Gobby!
The Savage Wave is getting something a little different this time around with their release for Bushido in the upcoming wave. They already have the Nian and the Cave Bat, but those creatures can be wild and unpredictable. Best to put some crazy goblin on there to help enhance their abilities and make sure they get to where they’re supposed to go.

GCT Studios Posts First Bushido Wave 28 Preview

Well, hopefully you got your orders in for Wave 27 for Bushido in. Of course, since Wave 27 is available to order, we need to start getting a look at what’s coming up in Wave 28. That’s just what we’re here doing today, as the first figure preview for Wave 28 has been posted. For you Tengu players, you’ll want to check it out.

Wave 27 Available To Pre-Order For Bushido

At the risk of editorializing, I really enjoy playing Bushido (even though I’ve not really had a chance to do so in quite some time). It’s sad how far behind I’ve gotten on releases, considering how much I love the game. But waddyagonnado? Seems I’ll be just a little bit more behind as Wave 27 is now available for pre-order over in the GCT Studios webshop.

New Previews Posted for Bushido

It’s time to get another look at some upcoming figures for Bushido. This time we get a look at some new pirates and some new figures for the Prefecture of Ryu. As I mentioned in a previous preview, the stats for these figures seem once more a “return to form” for some of the figures for the faction.

New Bushido Previews And Call To Playtest New Game From GCT Studios

A bit of a mixed bag here in this news update from GCT Studios. First off, there’s a pair of new Bushido minis to show off. There’s one for Prefecture and one for Temple (two factions I play), so that’s pretty cool. Though I feel they’re a bit overshadowed by the notice that not only is GCT working on a new card game, and not only are they looking for playtesters, but it’s also not set in the Jwar Isles like Bushido and Rise of the Kage are. It’s a whole new IP.

Two New Bushido Previews Posted by GCT Studios

GCT Studios is doubling up on the Bushido previews today. Wave 27 is nearly upon us and so it’s time to give a look at some more minis that’ll be in it. Two ends of the battle spectrum are on display in this one. On one side, you’ve got a melee-only commander. On the other, you’ve got a rank-and-file archer whose battlecry is probably “Not the face!” if an enemy gets up and close to him.

GCT Studios Previews Misao, the Grey Rose For Bushido

It’s not just kung-fu monks, ninja goblins, and sumo-wrestling giants in Bushido. You don’t have to worry about a snap-kick coming from Misao, the Grey Rose, but that doesn’t mean you should just ignore her on the battlefield. Her mystic abilities are on-par with the greatest monk sage or goblin shadowmancer. Even just attacking her will cost you.

GCT Studios Previews Bakemono Boomers For Bushido

When Bushido first came out, I looked into it and picked up the Prefecture as my main faction (also picking up Temple to go with). One of my favorite pieces was the gunner. In a game with so much of a focus on melee, having a reliable ranged attack on the field was a big advantage. Well, it would seem as though the Bakemono of the Savage Wave have managed to pick up one of those guns and figured out how to use it.

GCT Studios Previews Kouhei For Bushido

So, anyone go as a ninja for Halloween? I once went as a ninja turtle… in, like… maybe 1990 or something. I forget, exactly. Now there would be a cool crossover with Bushido. I know. I know. They have the kappa, but to have actual ninja turtles? Ah well. We don’t have that today, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have a new, cool mini to show off.

GCT Studios Previews Kerasu For Shadow Wind Clan

Shadows and wind. They’re not really something you can catch and keep. Wind, by its very definition, is always on the move. And a shadow you can never grab. Seems like an appropriate clan name for a group of ninjas. And that is just the case for Bushido. GCT Studios is showing off a new mini for the Shadow Wind Clan with a look at Kerasu.

GCT Studios Previews Katsumi For Bushido

The ninjas are amassing… though it might be hard to tell because… y’know… ninjas. But trust me, they’re there! I’m not just some raving lunatic shouting at shadows! I even have photographic proof! We get a look at Katsumi, a new figure for Bushido as well as a look at what this warrior is capable of with a look at his stat card.

GCT Studios Posts First Bushido Wave 26 Preview

Ninjas are known to be a rather sneaky lot. It’s sort of the whole point to them, really. Sure, you can be good at martial arts, but if you stumble around like an elephant everywhere you go, you can’t really say you’re a ninja (or at least, not a very effective one). Well, GCT Studios has sneaked in a couple previews for Wave 26 of Bushido on us. They’re showing off a pair of ninjas, so it seems fitting.

GCT Studios Posts Essen Specials and Taking Wave 25 Pre-Orders

Essen is just around the corner and a lot of companies are gonna be there. GCT Studios will be there. They’re also running a show special. If you want to get the new Kappa figure, you’ll have to pick it up at the show, or order it online form their webshop during the show (for those of you, like me, who won’t be headed to Germany).

GCT Studios Posts New Bushido Previews

Man, I really need to do another kung-fu movie marathon sometime soon. Maybe this weekend. The reason I bring this up is because GCT Studios has another look into the next wave of Bushido minis. There’s a trio of minis to show off this time around. Two are for Prefecture, while the other is for Silvermoon… though with the size of him, he almost counts as two models, himself.

GCT Studios Previews New Tengu For Bushido

The next wave for Bushido is getting ever-closer. The new figures are set to release in October (gee, October sure seems to be shaping up to be quite a month for games). GCT has two Tengu planned for release. Today they give us a look at the art, mini, and even the stat card (so you can know what you’re getting before you get it).

GCT Studios Previews Master Enos for Bushido

There are several companies out there that have world championships for their games wherein the winner gets to work with the game designers on making something for the game. Stone Blade Entertainment does it with Ascension. CoolMiniOrNot does it with Dark Age. GCT Studios does it with Bushido. It’s that final one we’re focusing on right now, as GCT Studios is previewing Master Enos, created with the help of 2014 champion, Master Jason.
