New Grav Tank And Chariot Available To Order From Forge World

Whether you’re on the fields of Middle Earth or on some planet far off from Terra, nobody likes having to walk to battle. Better to get someone or something else to deliver you to the action. I.E. – Drive closer so I can hit them with my sword! Well, that’s what Forge World has for you today with their new releases. There’s the Iron Hills Chariot as well as the Legio Custodes Caladus Grav-Tank Annihilator.

Blood Bowl Season 2 Available For Pre-Order

The new season of Blood Bowl is now available to order from Games Workshop. If you were hoping for some of the teams from the older version of the game that weren’t there in the latest version (for example, Lizardmen for me), you’ll be happy to see that they’re here, as well as some new teams, as well as expanded league rules, updated general rules, and more.

New Ratlings Available to Order from Forge World

Some people see rats as pests. Others see them as pets. Still others see them as a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield or pitch. That last group are Ratling players. They should be excited about a new Star Player for Blood Bowl and a Verminlord for Age of Sigmar being available to order from Forge World.

New Kharadron Overlords Available To Order From Games Workshop

I was over at the LGS the other day, picking up some minis, and happened to watch several games of Age of Sigmar. One guy was using the new Kharadron Overlords. I have to admit, steampunk-style dwarves are pretty cool. If you’ve got a force, or are thinking of starting one, Games Workshop’s got a couple new sets of figures available to order.

New Thousand Sons Kits Available To Order From Forge World

The space-Egyptians are getting more love from Forge World. This time around, regular Tactical squads have an upgrade kit (or you can buy just a whole, full squad) and there’s some new Terminators available to order as well.

New Releases Available To Order From Games Workshop

This could easily double as a Terrain Corner piece, since there’s quite a lot of new scenery that is available to order this week. Along with that, Games Workshop is celebrating quite a prestigious occasion for White Dwarf, the publication now being around for 40 years (I.E. – I’m assuming longer than most of you reading this now have been around). They’ve made a special mini in honor of the occasion.

Thousand Sons Contemptor Dreadnaught Available To Order From Forge World

We all know that a Dreadnaught is a very old Space Marine that went above and beyond the call of duty during his regular service, but their body has been mostly blown to bits, so they’re tossed in a giant robotic body to keep them in the fight. But what happens when a Librarian gets put into one of those? Well, you get something like the Thousand Sons Contemptor Dreadnaught, now available to order from Forge World.

New Dreadnaught, Hobbit Miniatures Available to Order From Forge World

Two ends of the spectrum, of sorts, with new figures over in the Forge World webshop this week. On one side, you’ve got a new Space Wolves Contemptor Dreadnaught (with and without weapon arms). On the other side, you’ve got some new characters available for The Hobbit.

New Kharadron Overlords Available To Order From Games Workshop

You know, when you normally think of dwarves, you think of them down in some mountain keep somewhere. You might not think to look up and see them floating overhead. But that’s just what they’re doing in Age of Sigmar, and you can order the new Kharadron Overlords airship, along with some other items for them over in Games Workshop’s webshop.

New Blood Bowl Team, Automata Available To Order From Forge World

Once again, we’ve got two very distinctly different releases available from Forge World on the same day. Whether you’re looking for a new Blood Bowl team to put onto the pitch or some giant battle robots, they’ve got you covered.

New Undead Faction Announced For Warhammer Underworlds: Shadespire

I mean, it’s the Underworld. You can’t really expect there not to be undead running around all over the place. And such will be the case, as a new undead faction will be coming to Warhammer Underworlds: Shadespire. Check out the preview video below the cut.

Midweek Snippets

The work week continues along. We’re halfway home (“home” in this case being the weekend, of course). If we’ve made it this far, there’s a good chance we’ll make it the rest of the way. But just to make sure, we should bulk up on some bite-size gaming stories.

Today on the platter we have: Fantasy Flight Games Announces Runewars Essentials Pack, Moxy Roxy Bringing A Squirrel’s Life To Kickstarter Later This Month, New releases from Terrible Kids Stuff – April 2017, Hitech Miniatures Posts New Releases, A.E.G.I.S. Combining Robot Strategy Game Returns to Kickstarter April 18th, Acheson Creations LLC is pleased to announce a UK/Europe distribution partnership with Company D Miniatures, Carthage Deck-building Game Coming to Kickstarter in May, Kentucky Sawdust Releases King’s Court Dice Tray, The Painting Frog writes up about GW’s pricing in Brazil, and Shieldmaiden plastics now available for pre-orders.

Games Workshop Taking Orders For Old Blood Bowl Teams

With a library of miniatures going back literally decades, Games Workshop couldn’t realistically keep everything they’ve ever made in stock. That’d be ridiculous. But since they aren’t made regularly, some older pieces can be really hard to find. Well, occasionally, GW will dive into the vault and come back out with some models they’re willing to spin up for you. And that’s just what they’re doing now with certain Blood Bowl teams and players.

New Gyrfalcon Pattern Jetbikes Available To Order From Forge World

Still miffed that when I was a custodian (including at this place), I never got to play with anything as cool as powered armor or a jetbike. Though riding around in the gators was always cool. Though emptying out the parking lot trashcans on a jetbike would’ve been cooler. Anyway, while I didn’t get to use them, you will be able to, as Forge World is taking orders for Gyrfalcon pattern Jetbikes over in their webshop.

New Khorne Battletome Available To Order From Games Workshop

Blood for the blood god!
Even if you’re not a regular GW-player, there’s a good chance you know that call to arms. Khorne, the Chaos god, is fairly well known for the battle cry of his followers. And those followers are getting bolstered in Age of Sigmar by a new Battletome and set of Warscrolls.

New 40k Releases Available To Order From Forge World

Those super-soldiers, the space marines, are getting some more releases next week, thanks to Forge World. They’ve started taking orders for Iron Warriors Siege Terminators as well as Legion Moritats, armed with either plasma pistols or volkite serpentas (… whatever those might be).

New Blood Bowl, Modelling Supplies Available to Order From Games Workshop

On just about every Blood Bowl team, you’ll have “the big guy.” You know, that one player who literally towers above the rest, daring the opponent’s players to try and tackle them. For many, that “big guy” comes in the form of a Troll, and Games Workshop has started taking orders for a new one over on their website. They’ve also got a pack of Special Play cards, plus a bunch of hobby tools with which you can put your team together.

New Blood Bowl, 40k Kits Available to Order From Forge World

One expects to see tanks out on the battlefield when playing a game of 40k. There’s all manner of them around. And normally you might not expect to see one when playing Blood Bowl. Well, if you’re playing for or against a Dwarven team, that might not be the case. And this week, Forge World has tanks for both games available to order (ok, so the Deathroller isn’t really a tank, but it’s as close as you’re gonna get in Blood Bowl). There’s also a new Legio Custodes unit and upgrade kit.

Warhammer Community Posts About Shadespire Coming From Games Workshop

Well, seems Adepticon is getting a bit of announcements coming out of it. This one’s about Shadespire, a new Age of Sigmar-based miniatures board game coming from Games Workshop later this year. Warhammer Community has some preview shots of it up.

New Adeptus Custodes Miniatures Available to Order From Games Workshop

So, a while back, Forge World was coming out with a bunch of Adeptus Custodes miniatures. I remember lamenting how cool those space janitors had it while all I ever got was a kinda neat portable pressure washer for after basketball and football games at the Arena. Well, if you’ve been wanting to fill out your forces from those couple of bits, the home base of Games Workshop has come out with a box set, as well as individual kits that you can now pre-order.

New Dwarves and Trolls Available To Order For The Hobbit From Forge World

The Hobbit is getting a couple more releases over on Forge World’s website. It’s two ends of the scale this week. You’ve got the industrious but short dwarves. And you’ve got the nearly-mindless and rather monstrous trolls. So, whether you want little-smashy or big-smashy, they’ve got something for you.

New Fantasy Race And Box Game Announced by Games Workshop

I really wish I was at GAMA. Yesterday we had quite a few really important announcements. Of course, those weren’t the only ones made at the show. Games Workshop also had a couple of announcements. One’s in the form of a steampunk-esque Dwarf faction for Age of Sigmar. The other is for a new boxed game that’s kinda… well… it’s Necromunda (but not).

New MkIII and MkIV Marines From Games Workshop

In the 40k universe, Space Marine armor has gone through quite a few changes over the centuries. Though game-wise it’s all come down to that 3+ armor that we all know (and maybe love, but that depends on what side of the ceramite your figures are on). But aesthetically, it’s certainly changed around. Same for the terminator suits. Well, if you’re looking to go “old school” with some of your figures, Games Workshop is taking orders for MkIII, MkIV, and some older style terminator guys over in their webshop.

Review Roundup

Hello, Saturday!
It… was quite a week, I have to say. Very busy. With all the goings-on for GAMA, I almost forgot that PAX East was going on. Hope everyone is having a good time out there. I’m, obviously, not there. I will be at Adepticon in a couple weeks, though. That’ll be fun. Love going back to Chicago (my homeland). But that’s a bit away. In the meantime, let’s get you the reviews you so desperately desire.

Today we have: Inis, Dungeons of Infinity, War of the Ring: Anniversary Edition, Warhammer Quest: Shadows Over Hammerhal, Fidelitas, JrassAttack, Wok on Fire, Avalance at Yeti Mountain, Citadels, Council of Blackthorn, Escape from Colditz, Stratos, Adrenaline, Mansions of Madness 2nd Edition, Flag Dash, Snowblind: Race for the Pole, The Money Pit of Oak Island, and Dice Stars.

Two New Blood Bowl Players Available To Order From Forge World

Forge World is once more letting you expand your Blood Bowl rosters. This time, it’s the Skaven that are getting some love in the form of their Rat Ogre (you’re gonna need a bigger mouse trap). And an old fan favorite once more returns to the pitch. Griff Oberwald has a new figure that you can order as well.

New 40k Miniatures Available To Order From Games Workshop

Well, seems that the “home base” was getting a bit jealous of Forge World getting all the Primarchs to themselves. Games Workshop has started taking orders for several new miniatures, including Roboute Guilliman (or “Bobby” to his friends) who is part of a “Triumvirate of the Primarch” set. Or you can go with a big Deathwatch set. There’s also the new book, The Gathering Storm: Rise of the Primarch. All of them are available to order now.

New Contemptor-Achilles Dreadnaught For Legio Custodes Available From Forge World

Back when I was a custodian, the coolest things I thought we had were the big floor scrubbers or the portable, electric power washers. Space Marine Custodians get a lot cooler gear. One such piece is the Contemptor-Achilles Dreadnaught, available for pre-order from Forge World now.

New Ogre Available To Order For Blood Bowl From Games Workshop

Just the other day I got the new Blood Bowl box set and put it together. It’s been funny to see how the models have gotten bigger over the years. I know there’s even more extreme examples out there. So if you’ve got yourself an Ogre for your team, your older figures might not be so big by comparison. But Games Workshop is here to help with a new Ogre mini in their webshop.

New Imperial Fist Terminators From Forge World

With my love of giant robots, I’ve always loved Terminators in 40k. I know. I know. They’re a guy in a suit. But considering the suit-to-guy ratio there, they’re basically giant robots (I mean, Gundams are “a guy in a suit, too”). I’ve just always loved the way Terminators looked. If you’re a Terminator fan, like me, and you also like Imperial Fists, you’ll want to check out the new unit and bits available to order from Forge World.

New Warhammer Quest, Age of Sigmar Releases From Games Workshop

Games Workshop has been expanding out their board game lines as of late. But other than maybe some special shoulder pads or something, none have really gotten big, full expansions. That’s not the case anymore, as Warhammer Quest is getting the Shadows over Hammerhal.
There’s also some new Age of Sigmar cavalry and a rather classic miniature getting a new version.

Blood Bowl, Horus Heresy, The Hobbit Releases Available From Forge World

Forge World is once again hitting a bunch of different games with this week’s set of pre-orders. Blood Bowl is getting another legendary Star Player. The Horus Heresy has the latest book. And for The Hobbit, the dwarves get a couple different reinforcements.

Monday Terrain Corner

Well, it’s Monday and we’re back in the office. Though it’s highly likely this is the last Monday here in this office. We’ll be changing locations soon. No, there shouldn’t be a big gap in posts. Worse comes to worse, with my laptop, I can update from anywhere with wifi. But yeah, we’ve been here for 4 years. It’ll be interesting to be in a new building. But that’s as may be. As for now, we’ve gotta make sure your gaming tables look great.

Today in the Terrain Corner we have: New Deathworld Forest Terrain From Games Workshop, Heroic Maps Foxtail Hills: Ambush Road Now Available, Cobblestone City: Pwork Wargames Gaming Mat Now Available, and Eiffel Extravaganza – Steampunk Paris 1896 Terrain Up On Kickstarter.

New Stormcast Eternals Order Battletome And Minis Available To Order From Games Workshop

The Stormcast Eternals are getting a bunch of new releases over on the Games Workshop website. These defenders of order versus the seemingly unending waves of Chaos are getting a new Order Battletome book as well as 7 new units. That includes the Gryph-Hounds, who look like they just want to be petted and fed some giant mice.

Review Roundup

Ah, Saturday.
Don’t know about you, but I’m going to be putting together a pair of Guild Ball players (Granite and Veteran Siren) that Ray picked up for me at LVO. Then I’m gonna make my own protein bars (like Clif bars, for those that know about them) since I’m trying to get from the 110 stone that I currently am down to maybe an even 100. I also finished watching Black Books, so I need to find something else to watch. But that’s as may be. What you all want right now are reviews. Let’s get those to you.

Today we have: Multiuniversum, Multiuniversum: Project Cthulhu, Hero Realms, Hero Realms Character Packs, The Mountains Rise, Legends of Andor: Journey to the North, Band Manager: Backstage Clash, Age of Sigmar, Imhotep, Cavern Tavern, Superhot, Forged in Steel, The Civilized Guide to Tabletop Gaming, Pirate Lords, and Steel Arena.
