Macrocarid Explorators Available From Forge World

Even if you’re a heavily-modified Mechanicum trooper or officer, walking your way across open terrain in battle is a great way to get yourself a one-way ticket to seeing the Emperor in the afterlife. As such, the Macrocarid Explorators were designed as a transport, command vehicle, and heavy weapons platform. Heavily armed and armored, this vehicle is a way to get you to the fracas in style.

Friday Snippets

Time has been playing weird tricks this week, I feel. The first several days flew by. Thursday took an eternity. Now, today’s doing a little bit of both. I feel like it should be later than it is, so it feels like it’s been a long time since this morning… but I’ve also gotten a ton of stuff done. So I dunno. I do know that I’m possibly going to be playing some Guild Ball this evening and then some D&D tomorrow. So that’s cool. Better pack myself full of energy with some bite-sized gaming stories.

Today on the platter we have: New Imperial Knight Heads From Forge World, Knight Models Previews Suicide Squad Dice, Kromlech New Release: Legionary Shotgun, Angels and Demons join Flatminis 2D miniatures range, Shadows of Esteren Announces Partnership with Syrinscape, Talisman is Free to Play This Weekend Only, Comrades in Battle Reaches Funding Goal, 15mm Naval Crews Range is Back From Capitan Games, and Final Days for Tavern Masters Kickstarter.

New 40k and Hobbit Releases Available To Order From Forge World

Well, sort of two ends of the spectrum in terms of new releases from Forge World this week. It’s rare enough that we see even releases for Age of Sigmar on there. But a Lord of the Rings release? I can’t remember the last one of those. Along with some new dwarves, there’s also a couple of 40k releases as well. Told you it was two ends of the spectrum.

The Burning of Prospero Game Available From Games Workshop

Games Workshop has started taking orders for a new board game set during the days of the Horus Heresy. This time, we find the voracious Space Wolves against the magic and psycher-enhanced Thousand Sons. The battle for the 31st millennium heats up once more as the planet is bombarded, except for one area that’s been heavily shielded and must thus be attacked via a ground assault. Who will prevail in the Burning of Prospero?

New Limited Edition Space Marine Mini Coming From Forge World

I know how much people tend to love getting “limited edition” versions of things. They feel special and unique. There’s only maybe a couple out there and you want to get one for yourself. Well, starting tomorrow, Forge World will have a new, limited edition Space Marine mini that you can get for your very own.

Friday Snippets

We’ve once more made it to the weekend.
Well, almost to the weekend, anyway. We’ve still gotta finish today. But hopefully that won’t be too painful to get through. Then… Yeah, I just love weekends. And as I’ve mentioned a couple times, tomorrow’s going to be cram-packed full of gaming. I’m really looking forward to it. Hopefully your day is likewise scheduled.
But before we get there, we should fill up on some bite-sized gaming stories.

Today on the platter we have: New Tau Heavy Rail Cannon Array From Forge World, Iris Coming To Kickstarter in January, Purgatory Kickstarter is close to another stretch goal, New Mk IV tank From LaserCutCard, Two New APC Turrets Available From Kromlech, and Q’thulu Mini Up On Kickstarter.

Fimirach Noble and Warriors Available To Order From Forge World

Much of the time, Forge World focuses on the sci-fi half of Games Workshop’s catalog. We get new marine transports or some new Primarch. But this week they’re heading to the Age of Sigmar side of things. Now, I didn’t know that there were cyclopian lizard-men in the world, but I know now. They’re the Firmirach.

New Sokar Pattern Stormbird Available From Forge World

While the US in WWII had to rely on just dropping troops out of a plane, the Empire of Man has a bit of extra technological advantage in order to land squads of marines. That comes in the form of the Sokar Pattern Stormbird. They’ll get your Marines to the battlefield in style and with some pretty heavy support going on.

Friiiiiiidaaaaaaay! The gateway to the weekend. Hopefully you’ve got some gaming planned for the next couple days. I don’t have anything specific lined up, but there’s still plenty of time. At the very least, I’m thinking I want to make some brownies this weekend. Though I might throw in something a little special…
That being cayenne pepper. You know, I’ve heard a lot about mixing “heat” with “sweet” and am finally gonna give it a go. I’ll let you know about the results.

Anyway, before we get to those tasty bites, we have some tasty bites here to deal with.

On today’s platter we have: New Thousand Sons Legion Transfer Sheet From Forge World, Lead Adventure Miniatures Launches Astropolis Kickstarter, Terrible Kids Stuff Posts September New Releases, New Damage Trackers From Proxie Models, Syrinscape Releases Geek & Sundry’s Critical Role: Goblin Raid SoundPack, Code Orange Games Running Free Collision Model Giveaway Contest, Kromlech Weekend Promo: Jump Packs, Turncoat Games Running WWII Cavalry Kickstarter, and Sally 4th Posts Free Combat Patrol – Falklands War Supplement.

The work week is drawing to a close.
… … … Wooo!
Time to kick back, relax, and enjoy some gaming. Tomorrow’s the monthly gaming day at my friend’s library, where I’ll be getting a couple games in. Hopefully you have roughly similar plans. If I’m going to make it through a marathon gaming session, I need to bulk up on some bite-size gaming stories. Good thing that’s just what I’ve got here.

Today on the platter we have: New Cerastus Knight Heads from Forge World, New Statuesque Fine & Pulp Scale Veteran Female Heads Available, New Releases Available From BlackChapel Miniatures, Okumarts Games Releases More Victorian Adventure Paper Minis, and Shieldwolf Miniatures Launches Forest Goblin Multi-Part Plastic Minis Kickstarter.

I hope you’re having a blast. If you’re not, well, at least we still have Friday going for us, which is nice. Either way, we should fuel up on some bite-sized gaming stories.

Forge World Taking Orders For Mastodon Heavy Transport

The worst way to try and get your troops into battle is just having them walk there. Tac. Marines, Terminators, and Dreadnaughts aren’t known for breaking any land speed records, and they’re vulnerable to enemy fire as they approach. Sure, there’s Rhinos and Land Raiders, but those only hold a relatively small squad of guys. If you really want to get a bunch of Marines to where you need them, you might want to check out the Mastodon Heavy Transport.

New Legion Tactical Squads Available To Order From Forge World

Ah, the Tactical Marine. The Swiss Army Knife of the 40k world. Pretty much every Space Marine player, as well as quite a few Chaos players, will have a couple units of them around. But with all those players using basically all the same figures, what’s to keep them apart? Well, Forge World is here to help, as they’re taking orders for dozens of new Legion Tactical Squads in their webshop from all sorts of different chapters.

New Tau Available To Order From Forge World

Dun na-na-nun na-na-nun na-na-nun na-na-naaa-naaa, Barracuda!
Even if you’re not a fan of classic rock, you might be a fan of taking out your enemies from up in the sky. Or maybe you just want some giant robots (we all know my thoughts on giant robots). The new Barracuda flier and a set of “experimental” Battlesuits is available to order from Forge World.

New Bull Centaurs Available To Order From Forge World

It’s been a while since Forge World has gone for the Fantasy side of things. Usually, we’re getting new Horus Heresy characters or giant robots (not that I mind giant robots, of course). But this time around, they’ve got something new to order for Age of Sigmar. They’ve got a new Bull Centaur unit as well as Shar’tor the Executioner character.

New Mechanicum Ursarax Available To Order From Forge World

The Mechanicum are not generally known for their assault units. They’re just happy to sit back and lob plasma blasts and other various ordinance at their foes. But that’s not to say they don’t have units designed to run into enemy formations and just start shredding stuff up. That’s exactly what the Mechanicum Ursarax are for, and they’re available to order now from Forge World.

New Model, Transfers, And Paint Kits Available To Order From Forge World

Forge World’s got quite a bit going on today with their pre-releases. There’s a new Horus Heresy character available. You can get him both as a single and as a two-pack. Then, to make sure your mini looks nice, there’s a couple paint kits as well as some transfer sheets available.

The Horus Heresy – Crusade Imperialis Available to Order From Forge World

When rules get released for armies, they can sometimes be spread out across a couple publications. Or, at the very least, you can have different publications that each have a different army in them. Carrying around all those books can get tedious, so the folks over at Forge World have consolidated three of them and put them all in one place. And they’re taking orders for the book now.

Once more we stand on the precipice of the weekend. But before we dive over, we’d best make sure we’re well-stocked with gaming goodness. Good thing there’s a tray of bite-sized gaming stories right here for us to nosh on. So let’s dig in.

LE Terminator Coming to GW Stores

Well, not long ago Games Workshop did that special promotion at Games Workshop stores for the opening of their 100th location. This isn’t exactly the same, but it’s pretty close, as GW locations are going to have a limited edition Terminator mini available soon.

New Warlord Titan Pieces Available To Order From Forge World

When it comes to giant robots, it’s tough to get bigger than the Warlord Titans from 40k. Being Games Workshop, there’s plenty of options in how you outfit your titans. But there’s not always an actual piece to use for that. Well, Forge World is helping out with a new Titan head, as well as two weapons.

Forge World Discontinuing Certain Items

All good things must come to an end. In order to make room for new figures in their warehouse, the folks over at Forge World have decided to discontinue making certain other items. These pieces are never going to be made again. So if you want any of them, you’d better hurry.

Giant Robots! Woo! *runs around with arms over my head*

Warhammer Community Painting Competition Happening Now

Gamers are a competitive lot. It’s sort of there right in the name. If you’re gaming, you want to win. Even casual gamers, such as myself, still want to do well and hopefully win the games we’re playing. That extends out to adding colored goop to your minis. For those who are interested, Forge World is running their first Warhammer Community Painting Competition. It’s looking like they’re going to make them a monthly thing.

Solar Auxilia Surgeon-Primus Available To Order From Forge World

Battlefield medics have a very rough job (putting it mildly). Everyone out there is looking to tear each-other to shreds. They’re looking to put people back together again. Solar Auxilia Surgeon-Primus Aevos Jovan was a great surgeon before some of his “experiments” were discovered and he was given the option of cake or death… I mean, working for the Solar Auxilia or death. He chose to work with the Solar Auxilia.

New Space Wolf Upgrade Kits Available From Forge World

Though my main force back when I played 40k was Orks, after a while I kinda wanted an army that had an armor save, so I bought some Dark Angels, because I still wanted something green, apparently. But then I realized I missed melee. So I went with some Space Wolves for a while. Since my history was with Orks, I loved converting models. I wish these parts had been available back when I played, I would’ve used them if I could.

We once more find ourselves perched on the precipice of the weekend. We’ve been working all week and soon it will be time to kick back and relax for a couple days. Of course, I’m sure for many of you, “kick back and relax” means “get in all the gaming action you can!!!” which is cool, too.

Forge World Taking Orders For Mechanicum Ordinatus Sagittar

Forge World was busy trying to give away a set of Titans. Chances are you didn’t win one. It’s ok. I know I didn’t win one, either. But if you find yourself in the position that your 40k opponent did win one (or you just want a gigantic gun on tracks on your side of the board), you might want to order the new Mechanicum Ordinatus Sagittar.

New Marine Weapons Available To Order From Forge World

Let it not be said that the Space Marine weapon techs sat on their hands and didn’t work at coming up with all sorts of weapons with which the armies of the Emperor could bring all sorts of death upon the enemies of Mankind. Forge World has a whole bunch of new heavy weapons with which you can outfit your models.

The Horus Heresy Legiones Astartes: Age of Darkness Legions Book Available To Pre-Order From Forge World

As games grow, expansions are made that have new rules inside of them. After a while, though, it can become rather unwieldy to try and carry around all those different supplements. And then you find yourself having to flip between different books to find the rule for a specific unit. “Was it this book? *flipflipflip* … No, maybe this one. *flipflipflip* ARGH!” Well, Forge World is here to help with your Horus Heresy armies with their The Horus Heresy Legiones Astartes: Age of Darkness Legions book, available to pre-order now.

Horus Heresy Book Six Available To Order From Forge World

It really is the time of Warhammer 30k. It seems we’re always getting new things for the Horus Heresy, as opposed to furthering the adventures happening in the 41st millennium. Not that there’s anything inherently wrong with that, mind you. Just pointing out an observation. If it means cool, new models and books, I’m all for it. Speaking of new books, Forge World is taking orders for The Horus Heresy Book Six, as well as a bunch of new army bundles, over in their webshop.

Forge World Taking Orders for Skaarac The Bloodborn for Age of Sigmar

Well, it’s been a while since we’ve gotten something from the fantasy side of Forge World. Most of their releases tend to focus more on the sci-fi side of things. But such is not the case today. Age of Sigmar is getting a new mini in the form of Skaarac the Bloodborn. And he’s certainly been eating his Wheaties, as he’s a big boy.
