Era: The Consortium – A Universe of Expansions 2 Up On Kickstarter

When the folks at Shades of Vengeance want to expand the Era: The Consortium universe, they don’t just give you one or two expansion books. They look to blow the doors wide open with as many expansion books as they can possibly manage. To do that, they’re running their 2nd A Universe of Expansions Kickstarter campaign. You all know my feelings on having more options for your games, well, this is that in spades.

Shades of Vengeance releases Era: The Consortium Expansions

Shades of Vengeance’s last Kickstarter campaign was to create a bunch of expansions for Era: The Consortium. It was successful and the game got quite a huge boost in terms of material. Well, those products are now starting to be made available to a general audience. That’s in preparation for Shades’ upcoming Kickstarter this October where they will be adding even more to the game.

Era: The Consortium Rulebook Primer Available

As I’ve mentioned (even just earlier this week), I like to know what I’m getting into before I buy a game. These days, with so many coming out, you can’t possibly buy all of them. But how do you pick? well, some companies put out free rules so you can check ’em out ahead of time. Well, add Shades of Vengeance to that list, as they’ve released a free rules primer for Era: The Consortium.

Midweek Snippets

We’re reaching the peak. After this, it’s a slide back down to the weekend. I’m hoping to have some friends over for gaming and cooking, as well as basically a “mini-Halloween” party (my apartment’s not really that big. Hard to have more than 4-5 people over 😛 ). There will be Cryx Necrotite Sugar Cookies, Atomic Peanut Butter Balls, and a bubbling cauldron of gumbo.
But that’s as may be. Right now, we’ve got a bunch of bite-size gaming stories to give you.

On the platter today we have: Zucati Dice: Retro Classic Pure Aluminum Dice On Kickstarter, Totentanz Miniatures to Make Corvus Belli’s 15mm Historical Miniatures Range, Purgatory Shows off 2 freshly completed models for the Kickstarter, New Swan Faction Tokens from Advanced Deployment Now Available, Ramshackle Abomination and Robot Sale, Armorcast LLC announces the Fifth Cinematic Effects Modeling Contest, Last Days To Enter Tercio Creativo’s Wipley Drawing, New Releases Available From Micro Art Studio, Ouroboros Miniatures’ First Release Now Available, 5-Minute Dungeon Coming to Kickstarter Next Week, and Era: The Consortium – A Universe of Expansions Kickstarter in the last week.

Era: The Consortium Expansions Up On Kickstarter

Many times you’ve heard me talk about how a GM can’t have too many resources available to them when working on their game. Also, players can’t have enough material when looking to make their character exactly how they want. Well, Shades of Vengeance wants to make sure players and GMs that play Era: The Consortium have those resources. So they’re running a Kickstarter campaign to expand the game universe… with 18 expansion books. O,o

Midweek Snippets

Well… that was a bit of an adventure.
For those interested in keeping track, Monday I noticed my car had a coolant leak. Tuesday I took it into the shop. They originally said, “it’ll just be a couple hours.” Then they said, “it’ll be overnight (they needed a part).” So, seeing as I was clear on the other side of town, I crashed at a friend’s place (as a 50mi walk home didn’t sound fun), picked up my car this morning, and am now back into the office. Hooray!

You know what I could use? A snack. Or at least some snack-sized gaming stories.

Hey! Look what we’ve got here!

In today’s Snippets we have: Collins Epic Wargames introduces Milestone Rewards for Polyversal, Cast Metal Gaming Dice on Kickstarter, FatMan Productions Posts New Previews For Awakening Recon, Frostgrave Fan Base Launched, Blacksmith Miniatures release: the apothecary, Photos from Nuremberg Spielwarenmesse 2016, Malifaux translated to Italian, The Circle of Chaos Kickstarter Going On Now, Shipping Update from Nexus Miniatures, Titan-Forge releases new Void Cannon, Last Couple of Days for Era: The Consortium Kickstarter, and Coming on 13th Feb – Era: Lyres Pocket Edition – a £1 Tabletop RPG.

Well, my left arm hurts.
But then again, that’s what happens when you stab it a million times.
And for the next couple weeks I get to have Hibiclens and Aquaphor on my person at all times.

Anyway, while I was changing the face of my left arm forever, I hope you were able to get some gaming in. At the moment, though, we’ve got some bite-sized stories to bring you.

Today’s articles include: New Valhalla Strike Team From Puppets War, New Demonic Ground Bases 25mm From Puppets War, Happy Seppuku Stampede! Era: The Consortium & The Secret War Expansion Sci-Fi RPG Up On Kickstarter

I didn’t originally realize today was going to be “RPG Kickstarter Day” here on TGN, but apparently such is the case. I’m certainly ok with that. I know people who love RPGs, but are tired of the “usual” and thus are always looking for something different. Era: The Consortium takes us back to the sci-fi side of things. The Secret War expansion book lets you play as a covert operative, waging a war that, you hope, ever gets found out about.
