From the campaign:

It was an exciting, fun and exhausting week at BGG Con 2014 – but AWESOME!

I was able to play Dumpster Brawl with more than 80 people and every single person said they enjoyed the game. Look at this guy!
He was a great trash talker and, incidentally, WON!

I think one of the things I am most proud of, is the ability of anyone playing to have a good shot at winning the game. No matter how good someone might be at cards, how good a memory they have or whatever the age difference is – anyone sitting at the table can win.

From the campaign:

The 3rd game play mode will be added to the game rules for all versions of the game.

That is a success on y’alls part. Great job and awesome people!

We are just ready to cross 10,000 and are closing on the goal. Please get the game in front of as many people as possible and let them know this was designed by a family for families.

New promos added to Dumpster Brawl Kickstarter

SolarFlare Games keeps chugging along on their Dumpster Brawl Kickstarter campaign. They’re showing off a new, special promo card to go with it.

From the campaign:

The promo card that will be provided to all backers (maybe 2 -depending on number of backers) is a BOOSTER card that will be usable in the game when it is produced and features Ernie the mascot for BoardGameGeek.com. This card is the most powerful booster card that will be in the game.

TGN Review: Dumpster Brawl By SolarFlare Games

The old saying goes, “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.” Well, in dumpster brawl, players are trying to rummage around a giant stack of garbage in order to find matching sets in order to win the game. The game has several variants, but they’re all variations of rummy-style set collecting. The first one with three sets and no extra cards is the winner. The game is currently up on Kickstarter and looking for some funding love.

Time to go dumpster diving.

From the post:

Dumpster Brawl was an attempt to have a time where we would all get together and play a game and bond a little. Let them see their nerdy future step-dad could make something they could relate to. IT WORKED. They really loved the game and said I should share it with other families like I did with Thrash-Car but they said this time make sure people know its meant for families and kids and just quick cool fun.
