Monday Terrain Corner

Well, it’s back to the old grindstone. But we’ll always have the memories of the weekend that just went by. I hope you got some gaming in. I did. I tried out Photosynthesis, as well as taught Guild Ball to a friend. It was a good time had by all. But now the focus is on next weekend, and whatever cool games I’ll be playing then. They might require terrain. And, if they do, I want it to look good. So, without further ado…

Today in the Terrain Corner we have: Wild West Exodus Previews New Terrain, Fantasy Flight Games Releases Playmat For Twilight Imperium, New Dunes Planet Space Gaming Mat Available From Deep-Cut Studio, and New Plastic Box Sets Available From Tabletop-Art.

Well, it would seem as though we’re possibly bracing for some ice to hit here in Atlanta. That should make for interesting driving conditions on all these hills we’ve got. But as I worry about driving around today, you only really have to worry about these terrain articles.

Gee. Halfway through the week already? It’s just flying on by. But such is the case, apparently. Man, maybe the whole year will go by this quick.
What? It’s 2145 already? … oh, wait, no it’s not. Damn. I guess we’ll just munch on these bite-sized gaming stories as we wait for 2145 to get here.

Today on the platter we have: Secret Weapon Miniatures Previews New Bases, New Mousepad Dice Trays From Deep-Cut Studio, and New Orc Banner Bearer Available From Kromlech.

It’s not just any Thursday. It’s also the anniversary of my first post on TGN. 6 years ago, I told you about the new plastic Warp Wolf kit coming from Privateer Press. That was 26,284 posts ago. Oh, how times change. What will the future hold? It’s hard to say. But I do have shades.

I also have a couple stories to make sure your gaming table looks better than it did back in 2011.

In the Terrain Corner today we have: Roman Buildings Bundles Available From Warlord Games, Heroic Maps – Storeys: Scrivener Street, New Fence Pieces Available From Acheson Creations, Gunfighter’s Ball Wild West Mat Stretch Goal Added To Kickstarter, and New Underhive game mat release from Deep-Cut Studio.

This week just continues to roll along. There’s now 2 of us in the office with Santa hats on. And we’ve got Burl Ives playing on the radio. It’s a good time had by all.
It’s also getting really cold out. Being proper Atlantans, the mere mention of cold weather, and a tiny prospect for precipitation, has sent people into a panic. But while people hole up in their homes, preparing to be snowed in for centuries (we might get a bit of cold rain), best to make sure whatever gaming tables you’ve got with you look good.

Thursday, Thursday, Thursday… never could get a handle on Thursdays. I certainly enjoy them, as it means we’re getting close to the weekend, but we’re obviously not quite there yet. So, it’s like, “Woo! Almost-weekend-eve!” Ah well, we’ll get there in time. But before then, we need to make your gaming tables look good.

Today in the Terrain Corner we have: Final Days for Kongo Afrika Kickstarter and Deep-Cut Studio launches unique service to make game mats with hexes or grids.

So, I’m back in the office after one of the greatest Thanksgiving breaks I’ve ever had. Thursday I was at my friend’s place. We gamed. We had turkey. We watched football. It was amazing. Friday, I had friends over at my place for Thanksgiving 2: Thank Harder. We games more. We had more turkey. We… didn’t watch football, but we did play Mario Kart… which is nothing like football, but still… And then Saturday I went to a game shop in Alabama to play Guild Ball and put together a Gundam model, then went out for authentic German food. Sunday I rested (I really needed it by then).
It. Was. Amazing.

And today, I’m back in the office, playing hella-catch-up because I basically didn’t touch anything work-related for around 96 hours. 😛

Anyway, lets get your gaming tables looking as good as our dinner tables from a couple days ago.

Today in the Terrain Corner we have: DungeonWorks 3D Printed Terrain Up On Kickstarter and New 15mm Scale Meadow Battlefield From Deep-Cut Studio.

Review Roundup

It’s Saturday. I’m hanging out in the bear’s den here. LGS has a huge tourney going on, so I’m just gonna hang out here. So it’s me, John Mulaney, and typing up the Review Roundup. Literally Netflix and chill (no innuendo). Everyone needs just some relaxed days occasionally. Anyway, as for the reviews…

Today we have: Deep-Cut Studios Print-O-Mat Service, Monster Lands, Clans of Caledonia, Hoyuk, Renown, AssassinCon, Azul, Charterstone, Great Scott!, Escape from 100 Million B.C., Through the Ages: A New Story of Civilization iOS, Epic Monster Tea Party, Mortals, The Godfather: Corleone’s Empire, and Valley of the Alchemists.

TGN Review: Deep-Cut Studios Custom Game Mat

Recently, Deep-Cut Studios started a new program where you can send in a photo and they’ll print a custom game mat for you. They sent out invitations for reviewers to get an early look at the service and give people their thoughts. I was one such reviewer selected, and since I’d been meaning to get a custom mat for a while, I jumped at the opportunity. So, let’s take a look at the custom printing service from Deep-Cut Studios in this TGN Review!

Come back around, we’ve circled and arrived at Monday again. We knew it was going to happen. I hope you were ready for it. Also, it’s finally OCTOBER! Woo! It’s my favorite month (even though I’m rather “meh” about Halloween). Time to bust out all the pumpkin-based recipes (pie, cheesecake, snickerdoodles, mousse, everything) and go to town. And the cooler temperatures are certainly welcome to a polar bear living in Georgia. But that’s as may be. Right now, it’s time to make sure your gaming tables look as good as possible.

Today in the Terrain Corner we have: New 10mm Fantasy House Available From Escenografia Epsilon, Lifeless Land Gaming Mat Available From Pwork Wargame, and Deep-Cut Studio releases another aerial game mat for WW2 dogfights.

Sure, it’s Thursday, but for some reason, I was thinking it was already going to be Friday at this point. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know. It’s already a short week, what with having had Monday off. But it still felt like it should already be Friday by now. However, it is not Friday. It is Thursday. That means it’s time to make all your gaming tables look as good as possible.

Today in the Terrain Corner we have: Outpost Bazaar: Open For Business, Heroic Maps – Spacecraft: Greywing Map Released, Heroic Maps – Spacecraft: Old Scoter Now Available, Star System Gaming Mat Available From Pwork Wargame, Roads of War Gaming Mat Available From Pwork Wargame, and Deep-Cut Studio Releases Aerial Game Mat For WW2 Themed Dogfights.

And we’re back in the office. Wee!
Ok, so I’m actually exceedingly tired because I got very little sleep last night. So, if you want, you could play “Find the Typos!” here today. There might be more than usual. 😛
But what is just as usual is making sure your gaming tables look as good as possible. For that, we’ve got our Terrain Corner.

In it, today, we haev (is that one on purpose? You may never know) : Deep-Cut Studio releases Gotham game mat, The ‘Roc’ Dropship Up On Kickstarter, The Bumblebee Air Transport Available From Burn In Designs, and Lands of Mars Gaming Mat Available From Pwork Wargame.

We’re making our way there, everyone. A 3-day weekend is nearly upon us. Have you gotten your plans set yet? I’m… still feeling mine out a bit. We’ll see how it goes. But I do hope to get in at least one game of Guild Ball tonight after work. I’m going to finally get to use those new Hunter’s Guild models. And, of course, I want my table to look good, just as you do. So let’s work on that.

Today in the Terrain Corner we have: More game mats for Runewars from Deep-Cut Studio, District 5 Food Booths Available From Micro Art Studio, BattleMats Running RPG Encounter Mats Kickstarter, Ice Planet Gaming Mat Available From Pwork Wargame, and Baueda Releases 15mm Hellenistic Fort.

Well, it’s Thursday. This week has gone by super-fast, mostly because of how busy it’s been. But that’s what happens the week before a show. Also, we’ve had a lot of people in the office to help prep. So that makes time go by, too. At the CMON Expo, there’ll be plenty of games going on, all of them on some good-looking tables. If you’re looking to make your tables look good, you should check out these stories.

Today in the Terrain Corner we have: Deep-Cut Studio releases sandy game mats for dedicated games, New 28mm British Houses Available From Sally 4th, New Terrain And Graffiti Transfers From Micro Art Studio, Torture Chamber unlocked as TerrainCrate total hits $400k, Two New Mats Available In Neoprene From Pwork Wargame, and BattleMats Releases Death Road Map.

Much of the week was going along just fine. But I don’t know why, but I felt like yesterday should’ve been Thursday already. I mean, I was in my Wednesday shirt and all, and the first part of the week seemed to be moving along at a normal pace. But then… yeah, didn’t we just do Thursday yesterday? Apparently not, because today’s Thursday. And that means we need to make your gaming tables look as good as possible.

Today in the Terrain Corner we have: Menhir Games Posts The Reinforced Concrete Bunker Kickstarter preview, Pwork Wargames Fantasy Football Mats Now Available, New Game mats for Runewars from Deep-Cut Studio, Heroic Maps – Modular Kit: Dark Starship Corridors Now Available, and Miniature Building Authority is out of the 15mm market.

Ok, so I didn’t go to Adepticon, and that’s sad. However, it’s Monday morning and I’ve got no “convention hangover” and no long-ass drive/flight home and no Con Crud to worry about. So, it has its upsides as well. It would seem that much of my Friend’s list isn’t so lucky. But while they down extra pots of coffee to stay awake or extra gallons of orange juice to cure themselves, they can check out ways to make their gaming tables look great.

Today in the terrain corner we have: New Infinity Inc Battle Mat From Warzone Studio, City Ruins Gaming Mat Available From Pwork Wargame, Deep-Cut Studio releases Wild West themed game mat, and New British Defenses from Sally 4th.

I mentioned before that this week is going by fast. It’s only picking up speed, so it feels. Could be that GAMA is next week and I’ve still got what feels like a bajillion things to do. It’s all the various whatnots I’ve been alluding to over the past months. Those are all being announced. It’ll be nice to finally be able to talk about them, but it’s also making sure that every word written about them when they are announced is perfect. So yeah, there’s that. But that’s that. This is where I make sure your gaming tables look as good as possible.

So in the Terrain Corner today we have: New Samurai Gaming mat From Tiny Wargames, Heroic Maps – Docking Bay 1V-1E Now Available, Deep-Cut Studio releases limited edition game mat for space combats, and Manorhouse Workshop Update 14.

We’re once again at the beginning of the week. It’s ok, though, at least for me, because I have cheesecake with raspberry-lime sauce (I did say I was going to make some over the weekend). That should help tide us over to next weekend, where gaming will be had (hopefully). And if there’s going to be gaming, there should be good-looking gaming tables. So let’s help with that.

Today in the Terrain Corner we have: New Algoryn Orbital Transmat from Sarissa precision, New wave of 15mm terrains from Terrains4Games, Brigade Models Release 2mm Roman Fort, and Walking Dead miniature game mat release from Deep-Cut Studio.

Well, it’s Monday and we’re back into the office. I can’t say that it was the best of weekends, but at least Sunday was a bit productive. D&D got cancelled due to half the players having outside things they needed to do. Sunday was full of a deep-cleaning of the apartment because I like to have a clean place for the holidays and the new year. So, not a lot of gaming going on. But that’s alright. There will be later occasions. And for those occasions, making sure the gaming table looks as good as possible is of high priority.

In today’s Terrain Corner we have: Combat Plaza: Pwork Wargames Sci-Fi Gaming Mat Now Available and New orbital game mat for Dropfleet Commander released from Deep-Cut Studio.

So the middle of yesterday sort of dragged along, but overall the week is still going by in a flash (for me, at least). Hopefully you have weekend plans like I do. We’re going to be having a build party for my friend’s original Kingdom Death set. Though, really, I’m gonna be trying to get people to play Guild Ball, instead, since I didn’t get a chance last week like I was gonna have. 😛

But in the meantime, we need to make your gaming tables look as good as possible.

In the Terrain Corner today we have: Frontline Games 20% OFF Holiday Sale Plus Special Deals, Dungeon Worlds Part 3 Kickstarter Stretch Goal #2 Posted, New Micro Art Studio battlefield terrain, Deep-Cut Studio releases a new game mat for Dropzone Commander, GAMEIN5D Foldable Game Board On Kickstarter, Deadland: Pwork Wargames Gaming Mat Now Available, Final Hours For Exotic Locations Indiegogo Campaign, Heroic Maps Whitlark Forest Trading Post Now Available, and New Tyranid Hive Planet Mat From Warzone Studio.

It’s December. Yesterday, we had some pretty nasty storms roll through here in Atlanta. Today, it’s definitely a bit cooler than it had been. Sure, a high of 54 might not seem too cold to someone in Chicago (where I grew up). But it’s colder than the 70s it’d been the previous couple days. Staying in and playing some games sounds rather nice. So let’s make sure those gaming tables look good.

Today in our Terrain Corner we have: New Firefly Airship from Burn In Designs, Heroic Maps – Explorer: Night Camps Now Available, Deep-Cut Studio releases a new Neo-Tokyo game mat, Infinity Scenery: Pwork Wargames gaming Scenery Sets Now Available, and Crossroads gaming mat by Warzone Studio Now Available.

The days have circled around again and we find ourselves deposited in a Monday. I hope you had a good weekend. I spent Saturday playing Small World and Ascension with some friends. Then on Sunday I assembled a bunch of another friend’s Guild Ball models, because I enjoy assembling figures and he’s been super-busy lately.
But that’s as may be. It’s time to make sure your gaming tables look as good as possible.

So, not tabletop gaming related, but as a Chicago native, waking up this morning to hear the Cubs won the World Series was pretty awesome, even though I’ve not followed baseball for quite a long time.
Too bad we don’t have MLB Showdown or that MLB Clix game around anymore.
Anyway, that aside, let’s talk about making sure your gaming tabletop looks as good as possible.

Today in the Terrain Corner we have: 15% Off All Sarissa Single Terrain Pieces At Warlord Games, New Releases From ESLO: 3D Game Elements for Boardgames, Dicey Ventures Running Earth Brewery Kickstarter, New Snowfields Dropfleet Commander Game Mat from Deep-Cut Studio, and Tabletop World Posts Watermill Sneak Peek.

Monday.
I know most people aren’t really big fans of it. And I can’t really blame them. I was rather comfy before having to get up for work. But it’ll be alright. Next weekend will be here eventually, and then the times will be good again.
However, before we get there, we need to just take it one step at a time. Currently, that means making your gaming tables look good.

Just one terrain story for you today: New Orbital Gaming Mat for Dropfleet Commander from Deep-Cut Studio.

To be honest, the week hasn’t really done much to pick up speed at all. It would seem we’re going to be slowly just crawling our way to the weekend. Though it will be worth it when it gets here. I’m heading to the South part of Atlanta to go to a Gundam model-building day at one of the shops down there. Before that, though, some of the best tacos ever at a small carniceria just next to the LGS. I’ll also be bringing my Guild Ball, because I love Guild Ball. Might even try out the new mascot rules while I’m there.

But before we get there, we need to round the corner… the Terrain Corner.

Today we have: New orbital game mat for Dropfleet Commander from Deep-Cut Studio, The Small Terrain Studio Project on Kickstarter, Heroic Maps – Modular Kit: Town – Church & Library Now Available, and Ice Planet: Pwork Wargames Sci-Fi Gaming Mat Now Available.

As fast as the week’s gone, it’s hard to believe it’s already Thursday. With the weekend just ahead, I’m watching all my friends checking in to various events that are happening. Mostly, it’s people headed downtown here in Atlanta for Dragon*Con. I do hope everyone has a great time at whatever shows, events, or just regular weekend activities they have planned. But before we actually get to the weekend, we’ve still got today’s Terrain Corner and tomorrow’s Snippets to post. So let’s get to the one for today.

That includes making your gaming tables look as good as possible.
