Castles & Crusades

When your game has been around for 14 years, regularly putting out new material, it's easy for a new player, or even veterans, to get lost when looking for a specific bit of info. That's where compendiums come in handy. In this case, Castles & Crusades: Monsters & Treasures looks to bring together all the monsters that've been created for the game over the almost decade and a half and give you one, giant tome of fights for your adventurers to take on. The book is up on Kickstarter now.
Let's keep the sales posts going for the day and finish out with quite a big one. Are you interested in Castles & Crusades? Perhaps you've checked it out, but were waiting for a sale to dive in? Would you like a digital copy of 18 different books? Well, you can get them now in a single Megabundle for 80% off the regular price.
Well, after what seemed like two Thursdays in a row, we have made our way, finally, to Friday. And I, for one, welcome our new almost-weekend overlords. With any luck, your weekend will be filled with gaming. If not, I still hope it's restful. But before we can get there, we should fill up on some bite-sized gaming stories.

Today on the platter we have: Final days for Castles & Crusades Kickstarter, New Selection of Peasants Available From Warlord Games, Geek & Sundry and Campaign Coins release TableTop gaming coins, and Battlefront Releases Afrika Korps Gaming Aids For Flames of War.

Printing books is expensive. You've got to get together all the writing, all the artwork, and the layout done. Then you've got to send those files off to the printer. And you want to get as good a quality product as you can. Well, quality costs money. Even for popular titles, it might take a bit to get that print run done. As such, the 7th print run of the Castles & Crusades Players' Handbook is up on Kickstarter.
At once, it feels both like, "wow. Already Wednesday?" and "wow. How is it only Wednesday?"
Is it that way for anyone else or just me?
I feel like I've gotten a lot done, but have a lot more waiting ahead of me.
Ah well. We'll make it. Break on through to the other side. To help with that, here's a bunch of bite-sized gaming stories.

Today on the platter we have: Scotia Grendel New Releases - October 2016, Rebel Minis Launches Rise of the Animechs Kickstarter, Shatterlands Kickstarter Reaches Funding Goal, Xtraidos Skirmish Game Relaunching Soon On Indiegogo, Ether Wars Kickstarter Relaunch November 22nd + Giveaway starting this Tuesday, New Releases Available From Victoria Miniatures, Idea Jab Card Game Coming To Kickstarter "Pretty Soonish", Khurasan releases 15mm Seydlitz Tank, Geek Chic Releases The Vanguard Table, Chronicles Miniatures Game Looking For Beta Testers, Brother Vinni Releases Tricycle Robot, Final Hours For Shadows of Esteren On Kickstarter, Final Days for Ninja Arena On Kickstarter, Table Air Combat: U-2 Kukuruznik Now Available, Castles & Crusades latest Kickstarter in its final week, Twisted Brothers Studio join MAGE Company, and New Breacher Bikes Available From Kromlech.

Castles & Crusades is expanding. Troll Lord Games is currently running a Kickstarter campaign to bring two new books to the system. They're basically a setting guide as well as a player's guide for The Hallowed Oracle. and it would seem people are excited about it, as the Kickstarter's doing rather well.
The week continues along. As it goes, so do we along with it. The weekend is coming up soon. It'll hopefully be here before we know it. I'm going to an inaugural board game day at a library that a friend works at. Probably to play Guild Ball. I know that's not technically a board game. But I don't care. I'm a rebel.

Anyway, before then, we need to stock up on some bite-sized gaming stories.

So today we have: Red Panda Miniatures Wander Contest Happening Now, Ares Games Posts Dungeon Time Kickstarter Preview Video, Khurasan releases 15mm Merkava Mark 4, New interactve website for Castles & Crusades, Oddzial Osmy’s 3mm June Releases Arrive at PicoArmor, and Final week for Barbaric Splendor Kickstarter One: Personalities.

To prove myself even more right that it's still possible to get sales into the middle of December. Troll Lord Games has announced that their holiday sale is happening now. So if you'd like to get some Castles & Crusades books for a lot cheaper than you'd usually have to spend, you'll want to check it out.
Castles & Crusades is looking to expand the information available to players with a trio of new codices. They've taken to Kickstarter in order to get that funding. And looking at the goal total and the pledges so far, it looks like they'll be able to get them made.

Troll Lord Games and Hound Comics are teaming up for Castles & Crusades: Brimstone and the Borderhounds RPG book.

From the announcement:

Troll Lord Games and Hound Comics welcome you to an exciting new RPG, Castles & Crusades Brimstone & the Borderhounds. Ripped from the pages of the Brimstone & the Borderhounds comic book TLG is using the challenging yet extremely easy to learn C&C Siege Engine to create a fast paced, easy to play, RPG that brings you into the world of the Borderhounds.

Hell is an unkind place. A sprawling megalopolis of twisted streets and ramshackle buildings piled one on top of the other, clawing their way to height's unseen where the Lords of Hell rule. Here the harvested souls of evil labor as slaves, doomed to eternal torment. Bound to a world of suffering, always yearning for a world beyond their own. Those wicked who are able seek to flee this city of the damned and do so with whatever tool they can: greed, violence, avarice. Fleeing hell is the only goal.

But to do so these souls must pass the Borderhounds. Bounty Hunters set on the edge of forever who hunt down wayward souls and throw them in, or out, of Hell. Led by grim faced Brimstone, these Borderhounds are the bane of the damned.

Now you can join the Borderhounds!

Troll Lord Games is taking pre-orders for their Bluffside: City on the Edge rpg supplement book for Castles and Crusades.
If they get enough pre-orders, they'll upgrade the book to hardcover.

From the announcement:

This project has been hammered into its final form and is now print ready. But like many projects around here of late, the sheer idea of releasing it in the standard softcover perfect bound format is just not good enough. So we've set a goal, much like Free City of Eskadia, we are aiming to raise $4000.00 in pre-order money to print this book in hardback.

If we can get $4000.00 in pre-orders for Bluffside: City on the Edge, we'll print this as a hardback. If not, we'll proceed apace and do it as a softcover. Your pledge for the printed book is good either way.

The good news is that the book is PRINT READY. That means if you join us and pre-order today you'll receive a digital copy (assuming you order one) within 72 hours of the order (counting for weekends!). So you can plunge into the City by the Sea immediately! As soon as we hit the funding goal, we send it to print.
