So when the teenager was cast out he had no choice but to travel to the city to try and survive and survive he did. GCT Studios posted up a new Wave 20 preview for Bushido. This time it’s Silvermoon Trade Syndicate.

Sukoshi Kani and Nomi_Promo

Source

From the post:

The oyabun of the Silvermoon do not consider age a restriction to the entrance to their service. Many fill their numbers with youngsters eager to establish themselves within the Shatei ranks and prove themselves worthy of their oyabun’s favour. All within the Silvermoon play to their own strengths, and in doing so strengthen their gumi. Sukoshi Kani and Nomi are no different in this respect. Sukoshi, armed with her bag of makibishi, ready to scatter them wide at a moment’s notice to cover a retreat or block a path. Nomi serves as the keen eyes and ears, ready to alert his brethren to approaching or unseen dangers. Their small statures another hindrance turned help, enabling them to sneak into an enemy’s flanks and wreak havoc.

From the post:

A phenomenal event was seemingly had by all and we at GCT Studios had a blast. We had great chats on the booth and we’re blown away with the players enthusiasm for the game of Bushido. We want to start with a massive and special thanks to our Retainer Crazyfish who pretty much ran the show from helping us to set up to running the tournament, he even brought along a trolley (a big thanks to his father in law for that one). Without you it wouldn’t have been half as good to say the least. The event is huge and we got in a bit of time to explore as well, as a team we particularly enjoyed howling down the late night corridors on the hunt for a game of Werewolf, excellent fun!

The tournament was great and everyone that experienced the Bushido Dojo came away happy and loaded with Silvermoons, congrats to Anthony for picking up first place with his Bakemono heavy Savage Wave list.

See you next year for the best four days in gaming.

The wrath of Tenbatsu

GCT Studios has posted a new preview for the next wave of Bushido models with a look at Tenbatsu.

From them to you:

Kurouma Tenbatsu is a broken and twisted man. The Kurouma line was cut over a century ago, only a small and insignificant clan during their short existence and Tenbatsu is all that remains of the clan formerly based in Eastern Jwar. The last son of the samurai clan is hardly even human although what he is, is up for debate. Some say that the colossus of a man is a twisted soul, torn between this world and Jikoku for his sins, some that the man is dead and that the cursed swords he is forever bound to carry constantly fight for control of him, others that he has sold his soul for eternal life and is simply a man too far down his dark path to ever come back. What is known is that he is welcomed and feared equally by his allies for he is inhumanely strong and savage, this damned warrior striking fear into the hearts of all those who dare to stand against his murderous rampage.

She is just a little bit scary…

GCT Studios posted up another mini from the next wave of releases for Bushido.

From the preview:

The Vampiric Yokai is yet another nightmare made flesh by the weakening of the balance. These parasitic monsters only purpose is to move from one victim to the next, draining the host of blood whilst riding the body in search of its next prey. From a distance it is hard to work out the unnatural, jerky movements of the poor soul’s body the Penanggalan uses to get close. By the time danger is confirmed the Penanggalan has either trapped its victim in its stare, or uncoiled from its host with shocking speed and wrapped its long tendril around the hapless soul, incapacitating them and allowing it to feed and then inhabit the body, wearing the corpse like a cheap kimono so easily discarded when its use is served.

In other news, we have our ‘Ask GCT Studios’ slot open for questions, a special card competition as well as the chance to win models just by subscribing to our newsletter.

Legend tells of a legendary swordsman whose sword skills were the stuff of legend

GCT Studios is showing off the first mini for Bushido’s Wave 19 with a look at legendary swordsman Akio Takashi.

From the post:

Takashi Akio is a legendary sensei of the finest sword Gakko in Ryu. The majority of the Takashi line has learning under his excellent tutelage. Now in the twilight years of his life and with the need for all able body warriors to answer Hida’s call, Akio has put down his Bokken and stepped forward to offer his life in service to his lord. Still a fearsome warrior but the real advantage he offers any fighting force is his expert knowledge of combat. His ability to instruct the samurai around him with either a point to a chink in a seemingly impenetrable suit of armour to a swift reminder of the techniques he taught them on the dust training ring of the Gakko, he is another strong commander to join the Prefecture of Ryu’s ranks.

Milestones and much, much more for GCT Studios

GCT Studios has a lot of announcements in their latest update. From a new mini to a new piece of art, to a bit of reflection on 3 years of Bushido.

Source

From the update:

Wave 18 is now on general release as well as Oda & Tautola (pictured). The legendary Jumo sensei, and current Oyabun of the Iron Fist gumi, Oda is small only in stature, for everything else about this no nonsense boss is anything but. Oda likes nothing more than to drill and sculpt his famous Buto into pure weapons of mass and muscle. His physique might prevent him from demonstrating his extensive knowledge of the art of Jumo but he is a skilled and quick teacher, barking instructions and jabbing directions with his ornate fan, swiftly turning even the amateur into a competent wrestler and a warrior into a master. Tautola is never far from his diminutive master, either stepping forward to clear his path through the streets of Jima and saddling his famous platform, allowing his sensei a better vantage point from which to command his men. Keenly aware of danger and quickly removing threats with a crushingly accurate and brutal blow from his tetsubo, Tautola is the bite to Oda’s bark.

We also have brand new art for Wave 19!

Eight foot of lean muscle, a cunning, ruthless hunter. The Kaihei Alpha are the large and most ferocious of the Kaihei an already deadly beast. Like all packs it only functions with strong leadership and Alphas have this in spades, another creature born out of the unforgiving wilderness the Oni call home where only the strongest survive. In battle, under the Kaihei Alpha’s glare the pack moves as one, quickly and decidedly devouring their helpless prey alive, snapping and ripping in a bloody fury of tooth and claw. Of the many fighting beasts of the Oni the Kaihei rightly hold a place of fear in the minds of men.
