Burning Games will soon be throwing their hat into the arena of fantasy sports games. CoreBall takes place in the far-off future, full of sci-fi action and great miniatures. Players float around the arena, gaining inertia as they move. Just make sure you don't overshoot your target. the Kickstarter campaign will launch on April 16th.
CoreBall is Burning Games' upcoming sci-fi sports game. They've put a call out for playtesters before, but now they're really ramping things up as the game makes its way towards a November launch date on Kickstarter. Their website is filled with all sorts of information and pictures of the game for you to check out. There's also the online rulebook you can go over.
Game designers and developers can only get a game so far. Without some outside help, rules are never quite as clear as they could be, things don't always work quite as intended, and things can always use a bit of a touch-up. That means bringing in playtesters. And that's what Burning Games is doing now for their upcoming game, CoreBall. Sign-ups are happening now.
The folks over at Burning Games have been working hard on their FAITH sci-fi RPG. Now, the fruits of that labor are available to you. They've got 3 new books up online for your downloading and playing pleasure. They're the Core Book, Tiantang (the first official adventure for the setting), and their Deluxe Art Book. You can get them all for a special price now. Plus, just for you faithful TGN readers, they've given me an exclusive preview pdf from the Rulebook to share with you!
I'm a big fan of unique settings and stories for games. There's lots of fantasy settings and sci-fi settings and such. But there's not many that I can think of that include 16th century Central America and various dragons and mythical creatures that have started roaming the land. But that's just what you'll find in Dragons Conquer America. You've got the Conquistadors. You've got the Aztecs. But you've also got feathered serpents and many other legendary beasts. You can get your copy of the game over on Kickstarter now.
Burning Games will be bringing Dragons Conquer America, their new fantasy RPG to Kickstarter on November 1st. In the meantime, to get gamers informed about the world and excited to see more, they have posted up an introductory adventure, titled The Coatli Stone. You can think of it as Chapter 0 (they also call it that, so there you are). It's free to download, so why not check it out?
Well, I don't know about you, but my week's already been pretty full of gaming stuff, mostly yesterday. I ended up having my order from Miniature Market come in (containing the Curse of the Statuettes adventure), and then Ray got back from Origins and I got some Muse on Minis tokens for Guild Ball as well as some expansions for Ascension. Now... just need to get to the weekend where I'll be able to really take a look at all of it, and maybe manage to get them some use. For that, I need to stock up on some bite-sized gaming stories.
Today on the platter we have: Advanced Deployment Anniversary Sale Happening Now, BattleScribe 2.01 Released, Sergei 76 Available soon From Klukva Miniatures, Eldertree Gaming Releases New Dice Towers, Commissar Elizabeth Raven Available From Brother Vinni, Stray Dog Minis now available from Miniature Building Authority, Imperial Books of Salvation Available From Kromlech, Dragons Conquer America Legacy Campaigns Coming to Kickstarter October 2017, and Final Days for Samhain Board Game On Kickstarter.

They've also sent me a piece of artwork that you can see here for the first time. Check it out below.
And we've come to another Saturday. Ah, the possibilities for today. I'm sure a lot of you are spending it at Adepticon. Me? I've picked up a bunch of snacks and some drinks and am going to watch some MST3K on Netflix. Because I'm cool like that. ;) Anyway, I know what you're all here for isn't my choice of fizzy beverage, but for reviews. So let's get to it.

They've launched a Kickstarter campaign for them, and have been so kind as go give you readers here an exclusive preview of one of the characters from the book: the Necromancer.
Ah, Saturday. And it's Games Day at the Milton Library. So, of course, that means it's raining. Funny how that seems to be happening. 3rd weekend of the month, we've got some rain. But, seeing as I like rain, it's all good. Rain and gaming. Seems great. Anyway, we've got our reviews for you here. Let's get to them so I can go back to gaming.

The new year is just underway. We're slightly more than a week in. Of course, like anything, it's good to know what's ahead and have some direction. Well, the fine folks over at Burning Games have let us know what they'll be coming out with in 2017 and even given you readers a special New Year's treat: some TGN-exclusive artwork for Faith and Dragons Conquer America (and, as always, we're grateful for the opportunity to be the first to share these pictures with you!).
Man, it is busy over here on this side of the screen. Pretty much all week there's been stuff going on. I'm sure that's part of why it feels like it's really flown by... And I've still not really gotten a handle on what I'm going to do with my D&D group tomorrow! Gah! There'll be time for that later (hopefully, theoretically, grammatically, esoterically). But, if we're to keep up our energy, we should nosh on some bite-sized gaming stories.
Today on the platter we have: Avignon: Pilgrimage Coming To Kickstarter in January, CloseYa network is open for a public beta in US, WW1 Themed Dice to be released in January from I Will Never Grow Up, Aenor Miniatures website Online, Week 3 December Deals Available From Greater Than Games, Merry Bitsmass Weekend Promo from Kromlech, and 3D Preview Posted For Ether Wars.
Not every Kickstarter is successful the first time around. Some people would say, "well, you didn't make it the first time. I guess you're finished." I say, "Nay nay!" (RIP John Pinette) Many Kickstarter campaigns start out with their first project not making it. But after some refining, retooling, and reconfiguring, they relaunch and can come out further ahead than they ever had dreamed with the first campaign. Will that happen with Ether Wars? Only with your help. They're back up on Kickstarter now.
At once, it feels both like, "wow. Already Wednesday?" and "wow. How is it only Wednesday?" Is it that way for anyone else or just me? I feel like I've gotten a lot done, but have a lot more waiting ahead of me. Ah well. We'll make it. Break on through to the other side. To help with that, here's a bunch of bite-sized gaming stories.

If you're going to have an evil organization, you're going to have those that are in charge of that evil organization. Such is the case even with the Ravagers, the insect-like race that are the main enemies in FAITH: A Garden in Hell. It's a look at the artwork for one of these bosses that we've got an exclusive look at for you today (compliments of Burning Games).
The week continues on. We've made our way to Wednesday. Hopefully the first half of your week has been drama-free (unless you're, like, a thespian or something). It's that time to fuel up on some bite-sized gaming stories so we can get through the last half of the week and get back to the weekend.

And this is the first place you can see it.
We all love getting free stuff. That goes x10 when the free stuff is really awesome. And this contest here, you can win some really awesome free stuff, indeed. Burning Games is giving away one of the very last Deluxe editions of their Faith sci-fi RPG.
Faith: A Garden in Hell is a new campaign for the Faith sci-fi RPG. The adventures take place 23 years after the Battle of Izuan Tai, which is where rival forces joined together to form The Coalition. The Coalition is an alliance between the Corvo and the Iz'kal to fight off the Ravager, who are the common enemy of civilization as a whole. The new campaign is up on Kickstarter now.
It's a hive of activity here in the office. We've got a lot of extra people in the office in town for the Expo this weekend. And it sounds like they're building something in the warehouse (which is right behind my desk). Everything for the show is in "Final check" phase. That means utter chaos, of course, but in a good way. :P In the meantime, let's fill up on some bite-sized gaming stories, shall we?

Who doesn't love getting something for free? In the case of a game, getting the core rules for free is a great way to try out a system and see if you want to further get involved with it. Well, the fellows over at Burning Games are letting you try out their RPG game, Faith, for free via download from their website.
A dense fog falls over Atlanta this Wednesday. Though it's supposed to actually be a nice day later on. A lot of people are headed towards Boston for PAX East this upcoming weekend.
