Woo! Weekend! Woo!
Yeah… so, it was actually a short week in the office, since I had Monday at home. But damn, it still felt just as long as a regular week… maybe even longer.
But after seemingly interminable years, it’s finally Saturday again.
So, while I’m playing some D&D, you can read about some game reviews. Sound good? Let’s get to it.
This week we have: Anno Domini 1666, Century Golem Edition, Vanguard of War, 7 Wonders, Super Mario: Level Up!, The Lady and the Tiger, Chariots of Rome, and Heaven & Ale.
With so many Kickstarters going on at once, it can really feel like your wallet’s being pulled in a hundred different directions. And when that timer runs out, it’s out… or is it? That’s where the rise of the Late Pledge time has come in. Currently, Archon Studio is taking late pledges for Chronicle X, their sci-fi minis board game. If you missed out before, here’s your last chance to get Kickstarter pricing and exclusives.
In the next week or so, there’s a lot of Kickstarters that are going to be launching (and, of course, all the ones that just started in the last couple days). These projects are great if you’ve got the funds to back them. But once that timer runs out, it’s over, right? Wrong! Late Pledges are a great way to get in on the action. For example, if you missed out on the Chronicle X Kickstarter, you’re not too late. Late Pledges are being taken now.
The aliens are invading!
Earth is being besieged by a fleet of flying saucers, and only the elite soldiers of Chronicle X have the gear, skills, and knowhow to defeat them. It’s not going to be easy, though. The alien Overmind is cunning, and will be looking to stay one step ahead in their plan to add a new planet to their conquests.
That’s the story behind Chronicle X, a new sci-fi board game that’s up on Kickstarter now.
The work week continues along. We’ve made it halfway through. And I’m expecting a new set of dice in the mail today (You can never have too many dice). So you know I’m in a good mood. I’ve also got a hankering for some bite-sized gaming stories. Good thing that’s just what we’ve got here.
Today on the platter we have: Monster Dice Metal Dice Up On Kickstarter, Empire of Men Sci-Fi Minis Up On Kickstarter, New Sons Of Thor Doors Available From Kromlech, and Final day for Scandinavia and the World Card Game Kickstarter.
Archon Studios had quite a hit on their hands with their League of Ancient Defenders (LOAD) miniatures board game. So much so that they, well, ran out. So it was time to do a new print run. But they didn’t just want to make the game again. They are adding in some updates and advancements to it. So it’s up on Kickstarter now.
And we’re already to Wednesday. It helps the week go along when you’re off on Monday.
It’s also my friend Gilbert’s birthday!
You old, dude.
Anyway, along with cake and ice cream, we should fill up on some bite-sized gaming stories.
Today on the platter we have: Mindwork Games New Online Store Now Open, Acheson Releases Five Dungeon Worlds Part 2 Figures, KaYo Miniatures Releases The Imitator, New Mini Battle Dice Available From Kromlech, Tabletopia Launches International Keyflower Tournament, Tabletop-Art Releases New Flagstone bases and a Monster base, Knuckleduster Miniatures Releases Five New Western Characters, New releases from Terrible Kids Stuff – First half of January 2017, New Destiny Tokens Available From Micro Art Studio, Red Panda Miniatures Webstore Now Open, and Vanguard of War Becomes Archon Studio’s Most Successful Kickstarter.
Well, it would seem as though we’re surrounded. There’s a seemingly endless army of demons outside the tower and all of them want to come in. We don’t want them to come in because demons never wipe their feet and we just got new carpeting. So it’s up to the four of us to defend this tower. That’s (somewhat) the story behind Vanguard of War, a new tower defense board game that’s up on Kickstarter now.
