Modiphius is running a living campaign for Achtung! Cthulhu. This next, free, portion of the campaign is titled Blessed of the Wind and was done by Richard August. There’s a Nacthwolfe troop ship that’s been anchored in a fjord, and they’re obviously up to no good (being Nazis as they are). You must go find out what they’re doing there and see if you can put whatever plans they have to an end.
Yeah, quite a long headline there with a lot of things going on in it. The short version is that Modiphius has released the Savage Worlds version of Code of Honour, part of their Achtung! Cthulhu series. So, if you’ve wanted to play the adventure, but your gaming group really wanted to stick with/play using the Savage Worlds system, you can now do so without having to change everything over yourself.
Modiphius has teamed up with Ripstone and Auroch Digital to bring the world of Acthung! Cthulhu to your video screens. The alternate-history WWII game where Cthulhu-mythos creatures come flooding into our own world is getting the full digital treatment. And as part of the campaign, they’re looking to bring you new items for the tabletop game as well (plus, as add-ons, you can get quite a lot of things from the tabletop game). Acthung! Cthulhu Tactics is up on Kickstarter now.
Pre-made adventures make the life of the GM just soooooo much easier. Just open up the book and get your players going. That is, as long as your players are willing to at least somewhat stick to the script. Thankfully, if they are, you’ve got your next couple sessions planned out ahead of time with relatively little prep work. Modiphius has a new adventure for Acthung! Cthulhu available. You can pick up your copy now.
Back when Modiphius announced their Rise of the Black Sun Campaign for Achtung! Cthulhu Skirmish, there was a question about the main rulebook for the game. I did a small hunt, but didn’t find anything. Reason was, the main rulebook apparently wasn’t out yet. Well, that’s not the case anymore. The Acthung! Cthulhu Skirmish main book is available now.
World War II was pretty horrific. All wars are. But at least there aren’t elder gods meddling with them… at least that we know of, anyway. Such is not the case in Achtung! Cthulhu Skirmish. There, Hitler’s occult researchers have come across things that man really shouldn’t be tempering with. Now, the new weapons that the Black Sun have created are going to be unleashed upon the Allies. Will it drive them back out of Europe? That’s the question in Rise of the Black Sun, a new campaign book, that is now available over on the Modiphius website.
For some gamers, just diving into the deep-end with a new game and starting out with a huge game works just fine. I’m not some gamers. I like to learn a bit at a time, starting with whatever starter material a game might have and going from there. The folks over at Modiphius feel much the same way, as they’ve posted up Secret War Operations, a new free tutorial campaign for Achtung! Cthulhu Skirmish.
Games do well when they have support behind them from the companies that make them. Well, Modiphius is showing that they have their RPG line fully supported with a new living campaign series they’re calling Modiphius Frontiers.
Man, as if the Nazis weren’t bad enough. Now there’s Cthulhu to deal with. Such is the case with Modiphius’ Achtung! Cthulhu universe. And it’s a universe that will be coming to your miniatures tabletop soon. They have announced that their popular RPG game is now going to also be a tabletop skirmish game.
Sometimes we miss out on a game system, or it simply wasn’t on our radar until later on. Then, when you find it’s got a whole bunch of supplements and other material, you may be intimidated into not starting it because of the thought of having to pick everything up for it. Well, Modiphius hears you and is here to help with their Achtung! Cthulhu Mega-Bundle.
All good things must come to an end. That includes even Achtung! Cthulhu’s Secret Wars. It has all been leaning up to this. All the crazy madness and exploration has led you to one of the most iconic places in the Lovecraftian world. Now it’s time to launch the Assault on the Mountains of Madness… since, y’know, the book’s now available.

From the post:
Wee Andy and Wee Ivor put down a few words on why they have backed the Achtung! Cthulhu kickstarter.
Achtung! Cthulhu has started their Kickstarter campaign. They’ve already made their funding goal in just one day, so it’s stretch goals for the next 48.
From the campaign:
Inspired by the Cthulhu Mythos of HP Lovecraft, Modiphius Entertainment wants to bring you the Keepers and the Investigator’s Guides to the Secret War, for use in the terrifying World War Two roleplaying game setting, Achtung! Cthulhu. Both books are compatible with the Call of Cthulhu roleplaying game, and the first, very easy stretch goal, will allow us to make it compatible with Savage Worlds as well!
With this Kickstarter and your contributions Modiphius will raise the money needed to pay for the development, artwork and production of a full print run of both books in soft back. The first stretch goal will add Savage Worlds rules and stats to both books plus some extra content for everyone; the next will upgrade the Keeper’s Guide to a full colour hardcover print run; the next will upgrade the Investigator’s Guide to a full colour hardcover print run; while further stretch goals will unlock further books and campaigns, miniatures, and so on – see ‘Stretch Goals’ below for more details.
Achtung Cthulhu is a name sure to catch a lot of your attentions. It’s a new RPG world that’s coming out later this year. I know I’m intrigued.
From the release:
