And I entirely forgot to mention earlier that we’re actually into Summer now. *gets out the Bermuda shorts and flip-flops*
And, being summer, it’s time to bust out the hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, and coleslaw. But while we’re waiting for the grill to heat up, let’s snack on some bite-sized gaming stories.
Today on the platter we have: New Salamander Doors and Hatches From Forge World, HeartBeat Dice Launching on Kickstarter Today, Purgatory reveals the faction artwork lineup, Cerberus Studios Launches Fantasy Miniatures Kickstarter, Acheson Creations Viking Kickstarter Products Now Available, and New Releases Available From Y.F.T. Design Studio.
And we’ve circled back around to the start of the work week. But, never fear, it will eventually be the weekend again, and more gaming will be had. And, with gaming, sometimes comes terrain. So, to make sure your gaming tables look as good as possible, let’s head into the Terrain Corner.
Today we have: New Imperial Assault Map Released From Fantasy Flight, Acheson Creations 20% Sale on More Adventurer’s Corner Products, and Official Frostgrave Mat Available From Pwork Wargame.
The work week continues along. We’ve made it to Thursday. We can make it the rest of the way. I’ve been realizing the last couple days that I have absolutely nothing planned for this weekend. Which, after several that were pretty busy, might be just up my alley. I’m sure I’ll fill the time up with something. But what I’m filling your feed up with at the moment is terrain stories.
Today in the Terrain Corner we have: High Edgmoor Hall Map Available From Heroic Maps, Acheson Creations 20% Sale on New Adventurer’s Corner Product Category, and New Maps Coming From Paizo.
It’s back to the office. The weekend was good, with good gaming with good friends (and thanks to anyone that stopped by the Twitch stream), but it’s time to get back to writing articles and proofing rulebooks. But another weekend will be had, and more gaming will be had, and with gaming comes gaming tables. And to make sure yours look good, let’s get to some terrain articles.
Today in the Terrain Corner we have: Coastal Defense Bunker Available From Warlord Games, Caves Added to Dungeonfog, and Viking Half-Timbered Church Released From Acheson Creations.
It’s Monday, and I’m back at the… oh, wait. I’m not at the office. I’m in my living room, typing these up early and then planning on having a relaxing day. That’s rather nice. And, of course, thanks to those that have served in the Military to bring us this day.
But, as we honor the men and women of the armed forces, we also need to make sure the terrain for our little armed forces figures look good.
Today in the Terrain Corner we have: New Meso-American Items From Acheson Creations, Aerineya: Sky Temple Ruins Available From Heroic Maps, and Rooftops of Ditchbury Available From Heroic Maps.
Usually, Wednesday is the longest day of the week for me. It’s actually just as long as the others, in reality, but in feeling, it seems to take an eternity. Yesterday wasn’t so bad. It was Tuesday that felt never-ending. So we’ll see how today and tomorrow go. I’m certainly busy enough to make time fly. Soon, it will be the weekend, and I’ll be playing some games. And I need those games to look good. So let’s check out some terrain.
Today in the Terrain Corner we have: Acheson Creations Meso-American Sale Continues With New Columns, Printable Railway Tracks up on Kickstarter, War Sands: Fantasy Gaming Mat Available from Pwork Wargames, and The Pathway Project – Phase 2 – Sci-Fi Wargame Terrain Up On Kickstarter.
What is it? Wednesday? Thursday? *looks at the calendar* Oh… Monday.
Must be an after-show Monday. They always feel like much further in the week. Ah well, my time at CMON Expo was pretty awesome. Will be looking forward to next year.
In the meantime, we need to talk about making your gaming tables look good while I go get a bit more caffeine.
Today in the Terrain Corner we have: Sally 4th 28mm scale Tramp Steamer kit Available For Pre-order, Meso-American Sale At Acheson Creations, and Deep-Cut Studio release official Morticians pitch for Guild Ball.
We knew it was going to happen. The weekend has ended and we’re back at the start of the work week. I had an exceedingly productive weekend of cleaning the den (though, for a while, I thought I was going to just sit at a railroad crossing forever, as the train that was on the tracks simply stopped, and there was no real way to turn around). But getting things done was definitely had. And as we start this week, we look forward to next weekend, and the games we’ll hopefully play, and the terrain we might be using in those games.
Today in the Terrain Corner we have: New Infinity Terrain From Warsenal, New Viking Buildings From Acheson Creations, Battlefields Normandy Bocage Map Available From Heroic Maps, and Big Book of Battle Mats Now Available.
It must be a Thursday. I never could get a handle on Thursdays. Honestly, last night at several points, I thought, “Well, tomorrow’s Friday.” Oh was I not happy when I would remember, “wait… no… it’s only Thursday.” Kinda feel sorry for the day. It’s like, “hey there, day-that’s-not-quite-Friday. Thanks for seemingly just extending out the week some.” But it’s really not Thursday’s fault. It didn’t ask for this. And I think this metaphor has gone on long enough. Let’s talk about some terrain.
Today in the Terrain Corner we have: New Viking Stone House Available From Acheson Creations, Terrains4Games Easter Sale Happening Now, and Ice Planet Game Mat Available From Pwork Wargame.
The work week continues along. I hope yours is going well. Mine’s had bits here and there, but more good than “meh.” So that’s always nice. Busy as always, of course, and so it feels the week’s been going by quickly. Always that new project to work on, it seems. Speaking of projects, I’m sure many of you are out there making great-looking gaming tables. Let’s help out with that.
Today in the Terrain Corner we have: Urban Sector Game Mat Available From Pwork Wargame and Acheson Creations Releases New Base Camp Fortifications.
I remember working at the Kansas State Athletic Department. Right around now, a whoooooole bunch of signs would go up all around the office areas of the arena, reminding us that March Madness pools were gambling, and thus illegal by NCAA standards, and we could get in serious trouble if we were found participating. That was no fun.
What is fun, though, is getting things for cheaper than usual. And that’s Acheson Creations’ form of March Madness. You can get 20% off your entire order in their store from now until the 21st. No coupon code required.
I mean, I realize they’re a vital part of the ecological system and all, but I’d prefer if they didn’t come invading into my apartment. However, as bad as seeing something scurry across your kitchen floor in the pale moonlight may be, it is nothing compared to the bugs one comes across in the depths of space. For those, you’d best get out your plasma rifle. I don’t think a tennis shoe will suffice.
That’s the type of thing you’ll be fighting in 5150: Bugs: Into the Tunnels, a new minis game that’s a team-up between Two Hour Wargames and Acheson Creations. The game’s up on Kickstarter now.
It’s not just any Thursday. It’s also the anniversary of my first post on TGN. 6 years ago, I told you about the new plastic Warp Wolf kit coming from Privateer Press. That was 26,284 posts ago. Oh, how times change. What will the future hold? It’s hard to say. But I do have shades.
I also have a couple stories to make sure your gaming table looks better than it did back in 2011.
In the Terrain Corner today we have: Roman Buildings Bundles Available From Warlord Games, Heroic Maps – Storeys: Scrivener Street, New Fence Pieces Available From Acheson Creations, Gunfighter’s Ball Wild West Mat Stretch Goal Added To Kickstarter, and New Underhive game mat release from Deep-Cut Studio.
Thursday, Thursday, Thursday… never could get a handle on Thursdays. I certainly enjoy them, as it means we’re getting close to the weekend, but we’re obviously not quite there yet. So, it’s like, “Woo! Almost-weekend-eve!” Ah well, we’ll get there in time. But before then, we need to make your gaming tables look good.
Today in the Terrain Corner we have: Final Days for Kongo Afrika Kickstarter and Deep-Cut Studio launches unique service to make game mats with hexes or grids.
The Monday after a long weekend… I mean, I know many of you out there love what you do for a living (as I certainly do), but there’s always just a bit of “erf…” about the Monday after a long weekend. An extra smack of the snooze button. An extra long shower. An extra cup of coffee. You know how it goes. Eventually, we’ll make it back around to the weekend. But, in the meantime, let’s make sure that when we do get to game again, we’ll have some good-looking gaming tables.
Today in the Terrain Corner we have: Orc Wall Gate Available To Order From Bits of War, Battlefront’s 2018 Premium Property Pre-order Deal Happening Now, Heroic Maps – Foxtail Moor: Wyvern Cave Now Available, Acheson Kongo Africa Kickstarter Funded: Unlocking Stretch Goals, and New Tech Coffin and Supply Box Available From Micro Art Studio.
It’s Thursday, but it also kinda feels like a Friday. Reason being that tomorrow’s posts will be made from home in the morning before taking the rest of the day off. So I’ve got that going for me. Hopefully gonna help a friend put together some Guild Ball models and just hang out. Might even put some paint on my own teams. Haven’t figured it all entirely out yet, but gaming will be involved. And where there’s gaming, there’s probably terrain as well. So let’s make your gaming tables look as good as possible.
Today in the Terrain Corner we have: Orc Kustom Workshop Available From Tabletop Scenics, The Shattered Shards 3D Printable Fantasy War Games Scenery Up On Kickstarter, Miniature Building Authority Shantytown Kickstarter Launches Today, Acheson Creations’ Kongo Afrika Kickstarter Launches Tomorrow, M3Studios’ Website is Online, and New Haven State Prison Terrain Available to Pre-Order From Plastcraft.
It’s odd. Each day this week I’ve found myself, at some point, looking at the clock and going, “How is it only (time)?! Geeze! Today is taking forever!” And yet, in contradiction of that, I’ve also found myself going, “Whoah! It’s already (day)!? This week is flying by!” So while each day is taking forever, the week is just speeding past. I don’t really get it, but it does mean we’re already most of the way to the weekend. I’m in my Thursday shirt, and that means it’s time to make your gaming tables look as good as possible.
Today in the Terrain Corner we have: New Steampunk Ironclads From Burn In Designs, Tabletop Scenics Giving Away An Orc Quarters, Skull Forge Scenics Halloween Sale Happening Now, Acheson Creations at Fall In! and Millennium Con, New Modern Civilian 28mm – 32mm Vehicles From Antenociti’s Workshop, and New Masons and Brewers Terrain For Guild Ball.
This shortened week is coming to a close. Well, eventually, anyway. Did yesterday seem to take 2 days to anyone else? It started out with, “Woo! It’s Wednesday!” and ended with, “… wait, it’s still Wednesday?!” Ah well, the day did, eventually, end. So now we’re in Thursday. I’ve got my Thursday shirts on to prove it. Also, it’s time for a Terrain Corner. Extra-size, since we didn’t have one on Monday, even!
Today we’ve got: Acheson’s Kongo-Afrika KickStarter to launch November 3, New Normandy 44 Mat Available From Warzone Studio, Fogou Models Releases New Post-Apocalyptic Shacks, Tabletop Workshop Running Modular Dungeon Kickstarter, Plastcraft Shows of Gothic Millennium Terrain, and Heroic Maps Halloween Sale Happening Now.
Who doesn’t love saving money? Maybe people who have more of it than they know what to do with, but I don’t know anyone like that. I certainly love saving money. So that’s why I’m always on the lookout for sales. Well, Acheson Creations is having themselves a sale. Everything in their webshop is 20% off. And, if you’re one of their 14/7 Club members, that goes up to 40% off. Sign me up!
It’s Monday morning here (though I know this is going to be posted in the afternoon). I’m trying to type up as much of my posts today before the storm gets really bad, just in case power and/or internet goes out. Also, working from home since they closed the office. But neither rain nor sleet nor snow nor slush shall keep me from getting you those gaming news stories. At the moment, it’s making sure your gaming tables look as good as possible.
Today in the Terrain Corner we have: New Test of Honour Lantern & Katana Ruler Set, Heroic Maps – Modular Kit: Mossy Dungeon Corridors Now Available, Acheson Creations to Launch Kongo-Afrika Kickstarter, Terminus Segments Industrial Set Available From Micro Art Studio, and The Valley:Fantasy Gaming Mat Available from Pwork Wargames.
Another month is coming to an end. August has been quite the month. Gen Con was simply amazing, as always. But as we move into September, with the temperature falling along with the leaves from the trees, we’re entering my favorite time of the year. However, it’s always a good time of the year to have cool gaming tables. And that’s just what we’re here to help with.
Today in the terrain corner we have: Ice Planet Gaming Mat Available From Pwork Wargame, Acheson Creations Releases 7 New 28mm Plastic Accessories, Urban Sector Gaming Mat Available From Pwork Wargame, and Heroic Maps – Spindlecave River: Rogue’s Nook Now Available.
Hard to believe it’s Friday already. A week ago, we were into the 2nd day of Gen Con. This week has been one of recuperation from the show along with trying to catch up on almost 2 weeks’ worth of e-mails. O,o
So, while I sit here, listening to Austrian Death Machine (thank you, Raoul, for the suggestion), I am sorting through the last of the things I had to put off for the show, and get totally caught back up. That includes another combined Snippets/Terrain Corner post (since I had another one of those just the other day, I figured combining another today would be good, with going back to the standard rotation next week).
Anyway, today we have: Prime Knight Battlewalker Available From Puppets War, New Releases Available From Killbox Games, Kentucky Sawdust Labor Day Sale Coming, Darkburg: Fantasy Gaming Mat Available From Pwork Wargames, Acheson Creations Releases 13 New 28mm Plastic Accessories, Devil Dungeon Scenery & Battle Mat Released by Dark Art Studios, New Art Decks from Post World Games Up On Kickstarter, New Infinity Terrain Available From Micro Art Studios, Tabletop Fantasy Football Accessory Figures Up On Kickstarter, New Stretch Goals in the Tubular Buildings Kickstarter, Brigade Models – New French Aeronef, and Suburban Gaming Mat Available From Warzone Studio.
As I work at catching up with all the everything from the past week, here’s a mix of the terrain articles from the past couple days, along with some bite-sized gaming stories. I certainly can use the energy.
Today we have: Syrinscape Creating Soundtracks for Starfinder, Acheson Creations Releases second set products from Dungeon Worlds 3 Kickstarter, Manorhouse Workshop Update 17 – Forgotten Halls: Into the Boxes, RPG WorldBuilder Up On Kickstarter, Heroic Maps Releases Upper Lockgold Street Map, Ogroid Chief Available From Brother Vinni, Brigade Models Releases New British Assault Ships, and RPG Player Kits from Crit Games Up On Kickstarter.
This week, to me, is just rocketing by. Though I’m in my Thursday shirt, it certainly feels like it should only be, like Tuesday or something. But no, it’s Thursday. Which, of course, means that, a week from this posting, many of us will be in downtown Indy, chest-deep into Gen Con’s first day.
… I have so much stuff still to do…
*stares wide-eyed at nothing in-particular*
… Ok, but before then, we need to make your gaming tables look good.
Today in the Terrain Corner we have: War Sands: Fantasy Gaming Mat Available From Pwork Wargames, Battle at the Mummer’s Ford Added to A Song of Ice and Fire Kickstarter, Promethium Rig Added To Tubular Buildings Kickstarter, and Acheson Creations Releases next six products from Dungeon Worlds 3 Kickstarter.
Acheson Creations is looking to bring you a new miniatures skirmish game. They’ve launched a Kickstarter campaign for Vikings: Great Hall Burning which brings in some all-new terrain, as well as figures commissioned by Company D Miniatures, and rules by Two Hour Wargames. It’s like a Justice League of a miniatures project.
It’s here, ladies and gentlemen. Friday. Gateway to the weekend. The work week is almost over and we just need to push through these last few hours and we’ll be free. Hopefully you’ve got some plans put together. Mine have solidified, with some chill card gaming tonight with a friend while we make sliders and eat gourmet popcorn (as you do). Then, tomorrow, it’s helping a friend move some stuff with gaming afterward (hopefully Guild Ball, but we’ll see). But if we’re going to make it there, we should fill up on some bite-sized gaming stories.
Today on the platter we have: Acheson releases 28mm Pewter Grizzly Bear, Brigade Models Releases New 6mm Humans and Aliens, and The Army Painter Updating and Rereleasing Battlefield Tufts Line.
The week continues on. We’ll eventually be getting back to the weekend. Just another couple days. In the meantime, we need to keep our energy up. To do that, we should nosh on some bite-sized gaming stories.
Today on the platter we have: Tikki Trolls Metal Minis Up On Kickstarter, June Releases Available From Terrible Kids Stuff, Acheson adds 28mm Pewter Hyenas, Bharata Playing Cards Up On Kickstarter, Multitude Game Set Coming to Kickstarter, York Gaming is launching a Kickstarter Campaign for 1492 – The Rite of Passage next Friday, Circle of Blood Teases Kickstarter Starter Box, New Legionary Heat-Ray From Kromlech, Tokens of Friendship Available For Tails of Equestria RPG, New Van Diemen’s World Devils Squads Now Available From Victoria Miniatures, New Bases and Accessories Sale From Micro Art Studio, GOT 28mm Kabardin APCs Available From Antenociti’s Workshop, Skyline Chess – New York City Edition Up On Kickstarter, and Khurasan releases Caveman headhunters and rhino riders.
Well, this has been quite a week. Monday had the site down for reasons that are still not 100% identified (it blipped again a little earlier today, but was once more fixed by our outstanding IT guy, Lucas). Tuesday was busy playing catch-up. Plus, there’s been article-writing and such behind-the-scenes for other stuff around here. Just a busy week. I know I could use some extra energy. And I think a bunch of bite-size gaming stories can do that very thing.
Today on the platter we have: Khurasan starts 15mm Late 14th Century Range, Acheson adds 28mm Gorillas, Love Formula Coming To Kickstarter This Month, Game Master Digital GM Tools Up On Kickstarter, New Quickshade Washes Available To Order From The Army Painter, Killbox Games New Releases and Kickstarter News, Khurasan releases new 15mm undead/evil wizard sets, English Version of Master of the Galaxy Coming to Kickstarter, The Component Collector Up On Kickstarter, and New Dvergr Commandos Available From Kromlech.
The week continues along. It’s a shortened week for many of us, but it’s still a week. We’ll make it to next weekend, eventually, though. No worries. But if we want to get there, we should re-energize with some bite-size gaming stories.
Today we have: New Magic Tokens Available From Advanced Deployment, New Releases Available From Purgatory Miniatures, Khurasan releases 15mm Parthians, New Crystal Tech blank Bases Deals Available From Tabletop-Art, Surreal Dice Tower Coming To Kickstarter, Acheson Creations Releases Daedon Miniature, Final Days for Hedgerows and Heroes On Kickstarter, New Glyphs Available From Bits of War, and Flat Bases for War Contraptions Now Available From Tabletop-Art.
The week of “getting back to usual” continues along. Of course, we’ll get back off schedule a little, since it’s a 3-day weekend here in the States. But still, good to be on schedule while you can. But, seeing as we’re getting ready for a 3-day weekend, that means we should be fully-powered up on gaming stories.
Today on the platter we have: New Skull Wound Markers Available From Kromlech, Last days for bargain deal at EZPainter, Chibi Giants & Swarms Fantasy RPG Miniatures Up On Kickstarter, Acheson Creations Releases Short-Faced Bear Mini, and Final Week For Archmage Origins Up On Kickstarter.
Man, what a weird week. Sunday was the last day of Expo. Monday was spent partially at the repair shop for my car, and then finding out my bathtub was leaking. The rest of the week has been working from home, waiting for repairmen, dealing with paint and fiberglass fumes, and now I’m taking some time between stories to do some deep cleaning around this place. I’m more-than-ready for the next weekend. To make sure I have enough energy to get there, let’s nosh on some bite-sized gaming stories.
Today on the platter we have: Brigade Models Releases New 15mm Terminator and Squadron Commander Fighters, Acheson Creations Release Indian Rhino, New Blood Drops Wound Markers Available From Kromlech, Z-Man Games Updates Components for Ricochet Robots, Victoria Miniatures Resin BFG Sledgehammer Crew and female Officer Now Shipping, and Brigade Models Release New EuroFed Spaceships.
Hey everyone. As you read this, I’m having a blast here at the CMON Expo. I know I’m going to sound biased, but this really is one of my favorite shows of the year since it’s so calm, cool, and relaxed compared to something like Adepticon or Gen Con. You can just hang out and play games, literally with some of the games’ designers and artists, and just chill. And, being a polar bear, I’m all about chill. But, it’s still a show and that means work. So I need to keep my energy up. So I’d best take a midday break and nosh on some bite-sized gaming stories.
Today on the platter we have: Brigade Games Running Disposable Heroes WWII Minis Kickstarter, The Colorado Standard Poker & Tarot Deck Up On Kickstarter, Statuesque Heroic Scale Female Heads Narrow 2 and Bald Now Available, New Releases Available from RAFM, Nonstop70 Releases New Historical Paper Minis, New Zebras Available From Acheson Creations, and Rude Rats Fantasy Miniatures Up On Kickstarter.
It’s getting busy here in the office, what with the CMON Expo coming up this weekend. Lots of the usually out-of-office staff are coming in. I baked cookies for the occasion. But it’s not just cookies that will sustain us for the show. We’ll also need to fill up on some bite-sized gaming stories.
Today on the platter we have: Carthage Board Game Coming to Kickstarter, Rise of the Shadow Lords Miniatures Up On Kickstarter, Brigade Models Release Spanish Aeronef Fleet, Acheson Creations adds Chimps to Pewter Line, New releases from Terrible Kids Stuff – May 2017, Dragon Egg Inn Coming to Kickstarter, Final Days for Hannibal & Hamilcar on Kickstarter, Short Order Hero Coming To Kickstarter, New Orc Jet Fighter Pilot from Kromlech, Final Week For The Drowned Earth on Kickstarter, New Terminous Bases Available From Micro Art Studio, 12 Realms: Dungeonland Coming To Kickstarter, New Chaos Legionary Small Banners Available From Kromlech, and Final Week for Significant 7 Dwarves On Kickstarter.
The busy week of being busy continues on. Yesterday was more of the same. The one thing that’s nice is that, sure, it’s been busy, but it’s been the good, productive kind of busy. So even though it’s a huge checklist I’m working through, things are being checked off. The next thing on said list is to give you stories about terrain. So let’s get to it.
Today in the Terrain Corner we have: Heroic Maps Foxtail Moor: Ruined Watchtower Available Now, Acheson Creations LLC Releases 15mm Medieval Thatched Wattle & Daub House, Ruined Complex: Pwork Wargames gaming Scenery Set Now Available, and Mantic Games’ TerrainCrate Up and Funded On Kickstarter.
It’s Thursday. You know, having had Monday off, this week is going by nice and quick. I know I’m looking forward to the weekend. Probably gonna swing by the semi-LGS (seeing as how no two places in Atlanta are closer than about an hour’s drive from one-another, especially since all our roads are either going up in flames or sinking into the ground) to see what’s going on there. But if I am able to make it out there, I’d like the gaming tables to look as good as possible. To help that along, here’s some new terrain stories.
Today in the Terrain Corner we have: Plastcraft Games Posts Salute Releases, Frost Grave Gaming Mat Available From Pwork Wargame, Acheson Creations LLC Releases 2 New 15mm Medieval Products, and War Sands Gaming Mat Available From Pwork Wargame.
