In case you had not seen the latest from Geek and Sundry, here it is. This trailer debuted on Monday and this show looks like its going to be pretty awesome. I look forward to a new wave of people learning about all the new games they can play!

From their site:

Think “Celebrity Poker” meets “Dinner for Five” and you’re ready to experience a new kind of web show that pairs notable celebs with must-play tabletop games. Hosted by actor, co-creator and fan favorite Wil Wheaton.

A new episode ever other FRIDAY starting April 2nd!

  • The best part: April 2nd is a Monday!

Cool, looking forward to this! Hope it brings positive attention to gaming and not attract negative derision for being too geeky.

    • Given that comic-book stuff is on the rise and the whole Geek Chic thing is growing thanks to Thinkgeek and similar sites, I see miniature gaming being more readily tolerated.

That’s right.. we’ve been promoted from men (and women) who play with toys to men (and women) who play with very expensive collectibles and accessories.

I work in a photo studio full of self-styled fashionistas who usually have an inflated ego to match their very expensive clothes. Even they think my painted minis are the shizz. On Monday, I was showing a sexy Brazillian model pics of my new Anima Tactics model. She liked the color of his clothes and thought it was “amazing” that I could paint such tiny details.

Also, the whole studio knows I’m the nerdy t-shirt guy. Star Wars, Marvel comics, Batman, Conan–I love ’em all on a shirt (well over 100 now). I have to tell the ladies to back off whenever I wear my Millenium Falcon tech read-out shirt. A spaceship and tech plans? Double geek FTW!!

Geekiness is ‘in’ folks, let’s enjoy it!

If you like the somewhat more obscure board/roleplaying games, you’ll totally dig this show. A lot of fun.

I love that they are seen playing Laast Night On Earth, that game is awesome. I guess that’s where the prop chainsaw comes into play 🙂
