Spartan Games announces the creation of Studio Sparta, a mail-order gallery of various products from their talented model-makers.

From the update:

Studio Sparta is a mail order company that offers a diverse range of figures, vehicles and scenery that do not have any of the constraints of being locked to our core games, and are not limited to models that can be mass-produced for stores to stock. This allows us to make more complex models, to dabble in areas that we find exciting, and we think you will also find exciting.

Studio Sparta is where we let our designers loose, allowing their imaginations to run wild and produce some of our most unusual models. Just like all our other products, they are high quality, highly detailed and great value for money. Some will cross over to existing game systems, but many will have nothing at all to do with fantasy naval, giant spacecraft or Victorian super science fiction.

Can you say ‘Forge Studio Sparta World’…

    • I get more of a “Specialist Games” vibe.

Gotta say the Planetfall models look fantastic. I wonder if Dropzone Commander jumped them. But on the other hand, Spartan has robots!

Im not sure comparison with forgeworld is a good one. aside from anything else every model I have ever had from spartan has been flawless, every model I have ever had from forgeworld has been full of holes bubbles seems and flaws.

    • You didn’t play Firestorm Armada with their first batch of models, did you? Talk about epic fail on several pieces.

  • Grindar

Or the first couple of kinds of resin they used for uncharted seas, where you were just as likely to find a blister of resin splinters as you would a model.

Wonder if they’re gonna try for the Heroes of Myth and Legend line again, or whatever it was called.

I had problems with a model or two, but their customer service is top notch. Tell them you have a flawed or missing piece and it’s in your post box in record time.
