Star Wars Force Awakens Box Set Leaked For X-Wing Miniatures Game

I know we don’t do much in the way of “grainy, leaked images” around here on TGN, but when it’s a property like Star Wars and a game that’s got such a following as the X-Wing Miniatures Game from Fantasy Flight Games, we’ll make an exception.

The interesting thing coming from this is that they seem like they’re not just repaints, but are actually new ships with new upgrade cards associated with them. Obviously, being leaked photos, details on the ground are very light. We’ll bring you more info as we get it, as I’m sure an actual announcement from FFG will be forthcoming now that the images are out.

Don’t be surprised if FFG asks you to take these down. I don’t think they are allowed to say anything until September 4th. But in regards to the new ships, they look great. An extra shield and boost is just what the X-Wing needed. Just curious if its still the same relative point cost. And it also looks like TIE’s are getting a droid slot.

Box contents list this as a Resistance X-Wing, and the ship has a Boost on the action bar….NEW SHIP!! Also First Or(der?) Tie Fighter..not sure.

The actual announcement from FFG has been “You saw nothing” and behind the scenes, heads are rolling (someone is getting fired…).

Oh yeah, someone is definitely getting fired over this.

I mean, with most games, a leak like this happens, and the owners just say “Oh well, this was going to come out eventually, I guess we’ll announce it now.”

But Fantasy Flight have to answer to Disney over this- and it could put their top game in jeopardy.

      Someone is definitely getting fired.

Hmm, wondering how the thumbnail for this story is so clear, but the actual picture in the story is so blurry… are there clearer pics you are holding out on us?

    • Nope. Those are the ones I found.
And a smaller picture is going to be clearer, since it doesn’t need as many pixels to make the image. When you blow it up, they get grainy.

I didn’t take the photos (or I would’ve taken a lot more). They’re just what I came across online.
