Spartan Games announces the next wave of models for Dystopian Wars and Firestorm Armada, including the Republic of France and cruisers for Firestorm.

From their site:

Spartan Games is excited to bring to your gaming table the dynamic and resilient Republique of France. This stylish nation sees at last the chance to regain its rightful place as a great power. With their upcoming release, you have the opportunity to lead them to victory. Spartan Games is also pleased to announce a host of brand new ships for the Dindrenzi and Aquan races. In addition, this release sees the Zenian League bolstered with some mighty RSN ships and the introduction of the remorseless Ba’Kash race.

These models will be shipping from March 14th 2012. From today, you can place your advance orders in our Online Store to ensure you do not miss out on these exciting new models.

Leading the Wave 2 Nations into the explosive world of Dystopian Wars is the Republique of France, an intriguing and simply brilliant nation that can be described as unique, perhaps flamboyant, but certainly deadly. Just take a look at some of their extraordinary ships; from the superb Couronne Battle Carrier to the beastly Bastille ‘N-5’ Land Ship, you can be sure that fierce rivals the Kingdom of Britannia are looking on in sheer horror at the threat that lies ahead.

Delving Deeper Into The Firestorm Universe

Firestorm Armada is brimming with a diverse range of fascinating races and factions that stretch further than the Terrans, the Relthoza and the other fleets you may be familiar with. The RSN serve to sow fear in all that oppose them; their new Banshee Class Dreadnought and Bulwark Class Frigates host formidable weaponry and are extremely fearsome in battle. We are also pleased to introduce to you the Ba’Kash race. They are remorseless raiders of supreme skill: just take a look at the unsettling Sharnak Class Cruiser – a menacing ship to say the least.

Also available to order in advance are some highly-detailed and mightily effective additions to the Dindrenzi Federation and Aquan Prime fleets. The new home world ships take the fleets of these two fearsome races into a new generation filled with terror and even greater dangers. Add these exciting models to your gaming table and discover the brutal destruction they are capable of.

When heading for the Spartan Online Store, look out for the Dystopian Wars and Firestorm Armada Flight Stands Base and Peg Sets – handy little extras for those of you that need them.

We will be sharing more exciting images and insights into our latest models over the coming weeks, so don’t forget to regularly check our blog.

Why does France get ships when they just surrender all the time HAHAH I’M SO FUNNY OH GOD SOMEONE PLEASE KILL ME

Everyone needs the chance to have a go at France. Sure I know the above is the a tongue-in-cheek reply in the usual “France always surrenders” gas blowing.

But I have always wondered where and who started the concept that France always surrenders. Hundreds of years of outright French Aggression in Europe, of France taken land from smaller peripheral countries to add it to the main part of France, incessant dabbling in the affairs of Spain, Italy, the Low Countries, the Germanic States. The destruction of the Holy Roman Empire….

Napoleon, Louis the Sun God… sheesh. Talk about not really being beaten rather than outmaneuvered because of incompetant officiers and no one ever lets you live it down.

It was mostly from World War II where they surrendered to the Germans in lieu of having Paris razed to the ground.

Finally the Banshee Class Dreadnought will be released! The preview of that model got me into Firestorm Armada.

Nice paint job on the French ships.

The french ships look good, but they do resemble the french ships from Leviathans. Too bad Catalyst still hasn’t released that game (that’s what you get for doing business with China). I may not be able to say Ba’Kash Sharnak correctly, or with a straight face, but I do want one. BACKITCH SHAKALAKA!! damn, I’m going to have to work on that….still an awesome model.

Those look to be new bases, with the corners rounded off on the large flyers.
