The Siege of Augusta organizers have sent an update on the status of their upcoming event.

We have the details finalized for our Warhammer 40K and Warhammer Fantasy Tournaments. We have updates on the Flames of War and DBA events. Please see the tournament events noted below. We also have a variety of other games, see the list at the end of this note. Lots of games, so bring your game and come on.

4th Annual SOA Flames of War Tournament
Are your Aussie Desert Rats going to stand up to the Desert Fox and his Panzer Truppen? Will your green American doughboys put the whipping on the krauts? Will the boys in grey grease the treads of their tanks with the frozen bodies of Ruskies? Will Stalin and his elite guard regiments stand up to the Hitlerites? Only time (and the dice) will tell at the inaugural FOW Tourney.
Start Time/Rounds: Three 2.5 hour rounds beginning on Saturday.
Introduction session (mandatory) at 9:30am

DBA Matched Pairs Tournament (GM: Martin Schmidt)

Matched Pairs Tournament: Bring a pair of well matched DBA armies that are historical enemies. Choose wisely as your opponent gets to pick which army of the two they wish to use against you. Four rounds against four different opponents, two with your pair of armies, and two using armies furnished by your opponent. Since each player supplies both armies each round, players may use pairs of armies featuring either 25mm or 15mm basing. Tourney fee is $5. Up to 16 slots are available.

15mm Hordes Of The Things Open Tournament (GM: Martin Schmidt)
(Sponsored by: Splintered Light Miniatures) The forces of ‘good’ and ‘evil’ (depending on your point of view) as well as those of myth, legend, fantasy and science fiction gather to do battle. Bring 24AP (Army Points) of troops and vie to add your name to the legends. HOTT is a fantasy adaptation of the popular De Bellis Antiquitatis game system with very flexible point based army building. Players can easily adapt any DBA army to HOTT by adding a Hero, Wizard or even a Dragon.

Siege of Augusta Warrior Tournament
January 22nd – Start time 8:45 am
3 Games – Each 3.5 hours – Games will be ended on time.
Warrior rules – Most current – All rules used in 2009 NICT
25mm – Please call or email if you need to borrow an army.
3 games – 3.5 hours
Table size – 6 foot by 6 foot
All 4 Horse lists available.
One list allowed.
All current 2009 NICT rules will be in effect for this tournament.
Additional rules for this tournament:
All JLS armed cavalry fight 1½ ranks if charging, counter charging, or pursuing.
Dismounted knights fight 1 ½ ranks in all circumstances with any weapons.
SHC elements are 8 points less per element.
Artillery may either move or shoot EVERY turn.
LBS, HBS, Rocket launchers, and organ guns may move and support shoot every turn.
