Sedition Wars jumped up over $500k just a little bit ago. I knew when I’d posted earlier that they were going to make it. Here’s what you’re in for if (or more likely, when) they make it to $520k.

From the update:

And so… the end is near. We therefore present you the violent, dangerous, mysterious, Keegan Kor! If we hit this stretch every Biohazard set will have Keegan lurking within! (You’ll need to paint and assemble him though, if he’ll let you). Ships March 2013.

Okay, I’ve been ‘umming and arring’ over this for a while, but that’s a whole bucket load of cool lookin miniatures and I just noticed the ‘Calamity Crew’ extra (where are the priest, the cute engineer, and the talkative pilot though?!?!?! U__U). Anyways, I’m in!

      Everyone always forgets the Doctor….

I guess you have to save someone for the expansion.

(Also, with the exception of the Priest, the rest of the crew aren’t too combat savvy)

Yeah, I finally threw in my ante as well. It looks like a pretty cool game and trying to get all of the stuff that is included with the Biohazard level later on will be way too expensive. They’ve set the bar pretty high for following KS campaigns.

I’m still on the fence. But I encourage all of you to keep supporting so I can see more stretch rewards.

… This may be a flaw in the system.

I doubt they’ll add anything else to the game, the biohazard level has an obscene amount of stuff in it … I can only see them adding more bonus additional purchase items, etc. I thought the Ogre kickstarter was amazing in terms of content for your purchase cost, this is just completely off the rails in terms of value, its a crazy good deal. I went for the double biohazard level and I ended up buying all the extra promo figs, the terrain add on and the clear resin/glow in the dark stuff. I doubt I’ll ever have such a large campaign that I’d ever use it all … but getting that stuff painted up and having it available … those figs are great for so many other systems. Also I have a huge table of the hirst arts space hulk corridor tiles already, so this stuff is going to be awesome for that. My only complaint is having to wait sooooooo long for it to be done. Honestly I’d love to see that be the last stretch goal. If they hit 550k … we get the stuff perhaps in January or something.

It’s at 550K and 3 days still left to go. In the final stretch over the past few days, I’ve been seeing it go up 50K a day. I predict 700K before all is said and done… and I predict GW will look to get on to this Kickstarter stuff too.

It actually might be pretty good for the Blood Bowl 25th anniversary edition.

  • Toyznthehood

700k doesn’t seem a bad estimate, zombicide also took a massive jump in the last few days.

I can’t see GW getting on on Kickstarter – firstly they don’t need to and secondly it would mess up their disclosure times. Currently they let us know a week before they release something, i can’t see them letting us know a month before they even begin to develop it 🙂

They’ll need a strategy to handle negative/dissenting comments; the KS comments section on a project can’t be moderated by project owners. Given their response in the past was to completely shut down their forums, this would be interesting to see.

Nah. As Soda Pop demonstrated, you don’t need KS or Indie to do a crowd-funded project. They could create a new website for it or run it through their own webpage and not allow comments…if that’s what they were worried about.

  • I’m a complete noob to kick starter. How does one get these extras like Riddick here? Is it an add-on after X amount is pledged?

    • Mahrdol

If you get biohazard you get Riddick. If you want the extras after you buy the biohazard change your pledge by upping the number in the box.

  • Haibane

Yeah they’ll be sending out a questionnaire on Saturday for which extras you want – so be sure to add enough to your pledge to cover everything you want! (incl postage if outside the US!).
