Scibor Miniatures releases a new Templar Mechanized Armor Paladin, a very cool model by Scibor.

From their website:

  • o_0 The USD Conversion of this beast is $55.80.. I’m not sure if it’s meant to be a Dreadknight or the smallest Titan class.. Knight or Errant or whatever it’s called..

At just over 4″, I think it would be a Dreadknight equivalent. I’m sad to say that I don’t care for this one too much. The pilot is just begging to be shot in the head.

      • Yeah, the head could be fixed .. maybe with a SoB canopy or similar.. maybe..
For me the overly simple weapons killed it..

it’s a brilliant dreadnaught, thats for sure…if they do a spartan version, i’m doing a whole space marine spartan army….

Have always felt that Scibor miniatures have weak silhouette. Their models are composed of simple geometries. The details on the plates seem to be just stuck there instead of designed to become a part of the whole. They also seem to refuse to bend proportion for a more intense pose.

And this model really accentuate those. Especially the way the upper arm separated from the main body.

I have to agree, but that’s how they started… as filigree conversion parts for existing GW minis, so it seems it was a stretch for them to sculpt complete models from the ground up.

Disappointing realisation from an otherwise promising concept sketch.
